Virgil heard a knock on his door, followed by a familiarly boisterous voice.

"Virgil? I'm going to have a movie marathon later today! Would you like to join me?"

A smile crept onto the emo's face.

"Sure Princey, what time?"

The other answered, a smile evident in his voice.

"At about 'Nine In The Afternoon', Panic! At The Everywhere!"

A small giggle un voluntarily escaped Virgil's mouth at the reference. Roman chuckled.

"Alright, I'll see you then, Jack Smellington!"

"See you then, Sir-Sing-A-Lot..."

The interaction left a swarm of butterflies in the darkly dressed man's stomach.

"So, Virge, what movie?"

Roman gestured to the big collection of Disney masterpieces on the shelf next to him.

Virgil emitted a soft hum as he thought, the song from the previous film having made its way into his head.

"How about 'The Little Mermaid'?"

The grin on the princely man's face told him his decision was very much appreciated.

"Ah! 'The Little Mermaid' it is!"

As 'Kiss The Girl' started playing, Roman felt his gaze drop onto Virgil's face.

His soft, dark hair with purple streaks in it...His perfect little button nose...His intensely brown eyes...His rosy lips...His soft cheeks...His delicate cheekbones...His slightly sharp jawline...His black eyeshadow...

Everything about him looked so perfect, his beauty accentuated by the purple fairy lights hung up above the TV.

He looked drop-dead gorgeous.

Just when 'Kiss The Girl' ended, Virgil tore his eyes from the screen and looked over to Roman.

His perfectly styled hair...His light brown colored eyes with small flecks of green in them...His clear, blemish-fee skin...His godly lips...His incredible jawline...His delicate eye lashes...

But his smile, Virgil found, was the best part. That's just what Disney did to him. It made him grin like he had just received the best news ever.

It was mesmerizingly beautiful.

Then, Roman turned around to reach into the tub of popcorn in Virgil's lap, and their gazes met.

They both remembered the first time they'd really made eye contact very vividly.

Virgil wouldn't look at him because he was for him, looking someone in the eye was already hard enough, but when it came to someone who didn't like him, like Roman (at the time, at least), it was close to impossible.

Roman, on the other hand, had considered himself 'above' Virgil, and the only glances he speared him were distasteful and sour.

Until one day, in the midst of an argument, they looked each other firmly in the eye, and immediately got lost.

Roman in dark and comforting, yet slightly unsure, swirls of dark brown, glazed over with tears but with a true, honest passion burning inside them.

Virgil in a sweet concoction of light caramel and mint, slowly drawing him closer with its intoxicating beauty, full of excitement and shining with happiness.

As they both started leaning in, the rest of the world disappeared. All that mattered to them was the other, and the feeling love they held for them.

And then, their lips met.

It was sweet, longing and passionate at the same time, but most of all it radiated love. 

Love, that started as rivalry, and then mutated into friendship, then into a crush, and was about to finally become a relationship.

An intense one, with its ups and downs, but for them, it was perfect.
