Hello my lovely readers.
First of all Happy New Year!!!
I know it's been a long time since I last updated and I am sorry for that. I had a very busy time and when it was finally all over I just couldn't let myself to write. Thank you for being patient. But I am back! And I really hope you will like this chapter.
Chapter 15
I sat on the bike behind him nervously. I wrapped my hands around his waist and leaned on his back.
"Hold on tight princess." He said looking at me through his shoulder and we finally moved. I was holding him tight the whole time afraid I will fall down. But thankfully he didn't ride like a crazy man. After a while of riding I finally relaxed and enjoyed the ride. Feeling the wind on my face enjoying the evening. After few minutes we stopped near the Hyde Park.
"How did you like your first ride princess?" he asked me stepping out of the bike and taking down the helmet.
"It was good. But I have a feeling you were holding yourself back with the speed." I said handing him my helmet. He smiled knowingly to himself. He put down the helmets on the bike and took me into his arms.
"I had a huge treasure sitting behind me. I wouldn't risk it's safety. Not only for the sake of the country but also mine." He said looking into my eyes and kissed me. My heart was melting at those words.
"Hmm. That was a sweet one." I said to him and he winked at me.
"Here. I was thinking in case somebody would recognize us." He said and took out two dark blue baseball cap's from the bike.
"Prepared for everything. I like that." I said taking the cap from him and putting it on winking at him.
"Let's go." He said taking my hand leading me inside of the park.
"Where are we going?" I asked him as we were walking through the dark park illuminated by the street lamps.
"To have a nice romantic dinner." He said and laughed wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
"Are we going to hunt our dinner first?" I asked him when we came to the lake in the middle of the park.
"Do you want to?" he asked me amused and I looked at him with terrified eyes. "Don't worry. We are going to enjoy only the food and atmosphere." He said and packed a light kiss on the tip of my nose and was leading me to some stands with food. There were quite a lot of people around. He took my hand and we came to one of the stands.
"Nice romantic dinner?" I asked him confused and he just winked at me with a knowing smile.
"What can I get you?" The guy behind the counter asked and James immediately told our order.
"Trust me." He told me when we were waiting for our food and saw my worried expression. I was also worried that people in the line behind us would recognize us so I buried my face into his chest and he wrapped his hands around me.
"Here. Take it." James said to me handing me the food. We walked to the lake and we sat down on the bench.
"What is it?" I asked him looking at the food in my hands and he laughed.
"It's kebab in bread." He said taking a bite from his. I was still observing it.
"I have never had a street food in my life." I said to him.
"I kind of think that out." He was watching me amused. "Well princess everything has to be for the first time. You can't always be eating with silver spoons." He said to me. I hesitated and I took a bite from it. He was looking at me expectedly waiting for my reaction.
"Oh my god that's good." I finally said between my bites. He smiled at me satisfied with my reaction while I was enjoying a heaven in my mouth.
"I wouldn't take you here if it wasn't." he replied content with my opinion.
"How come the street food is better than normal restaurant food?" I asked him surprised.
"Not every street food. You have to know where to go." He said and took a bite from his kebab.
We enjoyed the food while we were sitting on the bench watching the reflection of stars on the lake. He was right. We had a nice romantic dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere. Even with few people walking around us from time to time. I bet nobody recognized us as we were sitting in the dark side of the lake.
"So tell me, how was your day?" He asked me.
"Problems with colleague." I replied. "Nothing much to talk about actually." I told him.
"Such ordinary problems of such unordinary girl." He laughed.
"And how about the Swedish royal family visit? How was it?" he asked me slightly nervous.
"Surprisingly good." I replied smiling.
"I saw you with Prince Jon in the newspapers. You two looked as you were enjoying yourself." He said and it hit me. He was jealous. Big smile spread over my face.
"Oh Jimie. Are you jealous?" I asked him taunting him.
"Well the newspapers were calling you two as a new royal dream couple. Of course I am jealous." He finally said. I caressed his cheek and smiled at him.
"Jimie. Jimie. You have nothing to be jealous of. Jon is just a good friend. And I have my eyes only on you." I said and I kissed him.
"Just to be clear. I don't like that Swedish dude." He said matter of factly and kissed me back.
"Noted." I replied. I wasn't going to convince him about Jon being a great guy. Only Jon can do that.
"Ok let's continue in our date. This is the night of a lots of your firsts princess." He said to me spreading his arm around my shoulders brushing the topic off.
"I must admit it is. First time on the motorbike and first time eating street food. Not to mention first time ever in my life being outside of the Palace without any security watching my every step." I said thinking how free I am feeling right now. He looked at me with a smile and leaned his head to me. I inhaled his beautiful sent of some very expensive perfume he was wearing. Lately my favorite scent in the whole world. He pressed his lips on mine lightly making my body to shiver.
"I know about another thing you certainly never did." He said kissing me again and I savored the moment not even paying much attention to what he was saying. I simply love his lips on mine.
"Hmm. Really? What is it?" I asked him mumbling.
"You'll see." He said took my hand and we started to walk outside of the park. We came to the end and he stopped next to a lane with a city bikes. He took out his card and walked to the station.
"If I remember correctly you know how to use a bike." He said smiling while he was taking some receipt from the station.
"I do know how to ride a bike." I said excited. He put some codes into the station from the receipt and pulled out two bikes.
"Let me be your guide through the night bike tour of London princess." He said sitting down on his bike.
"I can't wait." I said and hoped on mine grinning like a little kid. We were riding out of the park into the Kensington High road.
"On your right side you can see a precious building called Royall Albert Hall." He started to explain casually pointing at it as if I was about to see it for the first time. Not that I was there almost hundred times on so many concerts and performances.
"This place was opened by Queen Victoria. I don't know if you have heard of her before." He added and I had to laugh at that.
"Sorry. Doesn't ring a bell." I started to play along. How couldn't I know her? She was my ancestor. I was loving this tour. We strolled through the Kensington High Road. He was explaining small bits about almost every historic building we passed. Not that he knew a lot about them. Sometimes he just made things up making laugh out loud.
"And here we are. The Buckingham Palace. The home of the most powerful and most famous family on the planet Earth. The Windsors." He said seriously riding to it as I was following him.
"It is home to the King and his three children. His two sons and one daughter." He stopped the bike and stood still sitting on it. I stopped next to him and he took my hand.
"Princess Emma Windsor. The most beautiful princess on the planet." He said and kissed my hand and I melted. "People's beloved princess. That man who get's to be with her is the bloody luckiest man on earth." He added looking into my eyes and I had to finally kiss him.
"Maybe as lucky as I am." He added smiling at me. "Here we have to return the bikes." He said and pointed at the station nearby.
"Have you ever seen the Palace from this point of view?" he asked me as we were walking to the gates.
"I think you already know my answer." I replied.
"Well since you are posing as a interior design student I thought you explored more of the ordinary life." he said to me.
"I didn't. I went out only to restaurants and my work. But I never tried to go out just like this. You know very well how tight the security around us is." I said to him and he grimaced.
"True. Sadly you are living in a golden cage not knowing what the real life is like behind the gates." He replied. "How do you like it so far?" he asked me.
"I love it. Especially with your precise explanations of our historic buildings." I said laughing.
"I appreciate your effort of not correcting me." He added.
"Your welcome." I said. "Hmm." I said looking behind him.
"What is it?" He asked me turning to see what I was looking at.
"This is the first time I see the guard not saluting me." I said and laughed to myself. He looked at me amused.
"Is princess offended?" he asked me taunting me.
"Not at all. It's just funny I guess." I replied thinking about the poor guard standing there who was taught all the rules that comes with meeting us not knowing I am standing in front of him.
"I bet you have never tried this." He said released my hand and went to the guard.
"What are you doing?" I mumbled looking around at the people who were standing nearby.
"They are not allowed to move or say anything while they stand here. They can't even laugh." He said and started to tell a terrible jokes trying to make the guard laugh.
"Ok this one will break you. Why did the skeleton go to the party alone? - He had no body to go with him!" He said making me laugh even though it was a terrible joke.
"Do you want to help me with this?" he asked me pointing at serious face of the guard.
"I am terrible at jokes." I said but he took my hand and put me closer making me stand right in front of the guard.
"Just try it." He said encouraging me.
"Ok. So. Did you know that before going to bed, the Boogeyman always checks his closet for Chuck Norris?" I said and nothing.
"See I told you I am bad at jokes." I said to James when the guard's eyes popped up looking at me and he suddenly moved making me jump into James's hands. People around us gasped with surprise at the movement of the guard. He stamp his foot, put his gun on his shoulder and made the royal salute to me.
„Oh crap." I mumbled. He recognized me. People around were watching the guard and us surprised. I guess they were only wondering what just happened but nobody recognized me.
„We have to get out of here." James said taking my hand and we quickly walked out of there almost running and laughing. We took the city bikes back to the motorbike.
„So tell me. How did you like our date?" James asked me when we sneaked back into my apartment through the Kensington gardens.
"I must admit you are setting up the bar for dates pretty high by each date." I said putting a light kiss on his lips.
"I am very happy to hear that." He replied taking me into his arms putting his lips on mine passionately. "Now let's get back to where we started this evening." He said to me.
"To what?" I asked him confused between his kisses.
"To you being totally naked under the robe." He said and I laughed.
