Lux handed me a bundle of clothes.

We stood in front of the bathroom, where I could change.

"Here you go," he said, "the pants might be a bit big on you."

I nodded and closed the door behind me. My clothes stuck to my body. I stripped them away and pulled on the stuff he'd given me.

Everything was big on me.

I sighed and tied the strings of the sweatpants as tightly as I could. Otherwise, they would fall down. As for the shirt... it mostly worked. It kind of draped around my torso and came down to my thighs.

They smelled like Lux.

It reminded me of when I wore Cassius' clothes.

I scrutinized my reflection for a moment. My hair was a mess but I looked semi-well rested? Which was better than usual.

With a sigh, I stepped out of the bathroom cautiously. Lux was laying on his back with his arms sprawled on either side of him. I walked over to my side of the bed.

"What do I do with the other clothes?" I asked awkwardly, they were in a pile on the floor.

"Leave them," he muttered and pat the spot beside him with his hand. I crawled in beside him and felt a pang of hunger in my stomach but I ignored it as best I could. Lux turned to me and wrapped an arm around my waist. I relaxed into his body and pressed my face into his warm neck.

"Lux?" I murmured and closed my eyes, "will the war ever be over?"

"Soon, we're negotiating as of now," he murmured and kissed the top of my head. I felt my heart thumping inside my chest.

"Really?" I whispered it would be weird without the war. It had been active my entire life. And I was fucking old.

"Mmhm," he hummed quietly and squeezed me closer to his chest.

"But what if something happens?" I asked, like, I don't know, someone kidnapping the prince's mate.

"Go to sleep, Alabaster."

Three days.

"Alabaster?" He asked with a worried look on his face, "what's wrong?"

"I-I need..." I clenched my teeth in pain, "Lux." I could barely choke out any words.

"Alabaster?" He asked again as I tried to catch my breath.

"Incubus, I-I- mmmng," I sobbed and spasmed, "I'm an i-incubus."

He was confused for a moment and I watched as it clicked in his brain. He immediately returned to the usual Lux, expressionless, and I worried what he'd think. I couldn't do anything as he pressed my back onto the mattress.

"Shh, it's alright," Lux whispered and kissed my ear. He was all business now. I curled my toes in agony. he vampire pushed his lips onto mine and I gasped in surprise. He hadn't really kissed me yet. On the cheek and my neck a few times. But that was it.

I whimpered and dug my fingers into his arms. He pried my mouth open and slid his tongue against mine. I moaned and wrapped my legs around his waist. I was fucking hungry, and him kissing me made it so much harder to resist.

"Are you okay now?" Lux asked and brushed my hair away from my face. My eyelids fluttered closed for a moment as I nodded in affirmation.

"I-I'm sorry... I didn't tell you," I stuttered in embarrassment. I hadn't wanted to.

"That's fine," he murmured, I was still hard and so was he.

I slid my hands down his abdomen and unbuckled his belt. He just watched me closely, it made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I gasped in surprise as he buried his face in my neck and inhaled deeply.

Lux nipped at my skin gently and I slid my hand inside his boxers. The sour taste of blood exploded in my mouth and I realized how hard I had been biting my lip. The vampire looked up at me, no doubt he could smell it. Vampires were like sharks.

He cupped my jaw in his hand and pulled back my bottom lip with his thumb.

"You're bleeding," Lux muttered and kissed me again, I could feel his tongue run over my busted lip. It was... oddly arousing. I wrapped my hand around his erection and pulled it out of his boxers.
