Around midnight, Cat Noir was at the jewelry store again to rob whatever he can get before anyone else can catch him. He cuts a hole to get inside the store and blows some dust off revealing laser detectors.

"Shit. I knew they were gonna stop me" Cat Noir growled in frustration that he didn't have time for this.

He jumps up the ceiling to climb there and he reached for a diamond, "Meow, you are so puuuurrrrrecious, darling. Come to kitty" Cat Noir grabs it and puts the diamond into his bag, "No Ladybug nor other thieves to stop me" He snickered.

"Curiosity killed the cat" A robber points his gun at the feline's head, "Paws off the bag, cat"

But Cat Noir just smacked the gun aside and punched him three times before hurling him up on the desk. Another robber came and fired only for Cat Noir to flip over and snatch the gun to fire at him. More thugs came with guns but Cat Noir shot them all, one by one, until he ran out of ammo until one thug was unharmed.

"No! Please don't hurt me!" He begged.

"Don't talk to me about pain" Cat Noir hissed and unsheathe his claws.

"No! Not that!" The thug crawled back.

"Your boys killed innocents. I don't have a problem killing evil bad guys" Cat Noir glared and stabs his claws into the bad guy's chest.

He left the store with his loot, "That was too easy" He said and he got up the rooftops.

He looks around and saw no Ladybug, "Good" He smirked and runs off to his hideout.

He saw the abandoned Agreste mansion covered in dead plants. He still remembers that day when he found out about his father's dark secret. His mother is still in there in that cryo capsule preserving her body for a year.

(Flashback)

Adrien was getting sick of his father skipping everything for him but Adrien had enough and he wanted to know why. How long will it take to stop mourning his wife? He takes a peak in the office and saw his father pressing plain buttons on the portrait and the floor moved below.

"What the hell?" Adrien snuck inside out of his view.

"I didn't know he had something like that. Did you know?" Plagg asked.

"No. Let's find out" Adrien said.

"You know you'll get grounded again," Plagg said.

Adrien visualized how his father touched the portrait, "I'm done waiting, Plagg. Just like Ladybug is keeping secrets from me the same way my father is doing" Adrien pressed the buttons and the floor platform lowered him down.

Once he got down, he found out it leads to a secret room he was never told about, "What the hell?!" Adrien gasps.

His heart was pounding hard in his chest but he had to be brave. The elevator came to a complete stop and he walks on the bridge, recognizing the pure white butterflies.

"Butterflies?" He looks around and then sees someone in the glass coffin.

When he got closer, he gasped, it was his mother Emilie, "Mom!"

"Adrien?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Gabriel walks up to him.

Adrien had to remain strong, no more obeying him again, "You are Shadow Moth? You told me my mom disappeared but you kept her in hiding the whole time!" Adrien screams in anger.

"It was so I could revive her with the cat and ladybug miraculous. The peacock miraculous she wore was damaged so she fell into that coma!" Gabriel explained.

"By terrorizing our city?! Mom wouldn't like what you've done!" Adrien yelled, "And what price are you exchanging?! Me for her! Wishes have a terrible price to pay in exchange! Do you want a dead son?" Adrien screamed in anger.

"No. I'll find another way, one way or another!" Gabriel remained insistent.

"You're insane!" Adrien shoved his father, "What kind of psycho would neglect his own son just to focus on bringing his wife back? That explains why you skip everything with me! You are not my father!" Adrien pushed him harder.

"How dare you?!" Gabriel stood up.

"No more secrets, no more hiding!" Adrien clenched his hands.

"You're evil! You traumatized everyone by akumatizing them! You lied about the world! You lied about my friends! And worst of all, you lied about being busy!" Adrien sobs angrily and pushed him again, "You're not doing this out of love, you're doing this out of madness! Plagg claws out!" He transformed into Cat Noir.

"You're Cat Noir?!" Gabriel gasps.

"Yes! All this time!" Cat Noir growled.

"You harmed Master Fu! He was like a grandfather to me! Because of you, he lost his memories!" Cat Noir smashed the rails on the bridge in anger, "Cataclysm!" He jumped in midair and headed to the elevator to prevent his father from escaping, "I don't want to hurt you but turn yourself to the police, Gabriel! Mom would feel angry and scared to see what you become!" He had his cataclysm hand near the elevator.

"Duusu, Nooro, unify!" Gabriel transformed into Shadow Moth.

Cat Noir touched the elevator and destroyed it. He can't have his father escape and he needs to recharge fast.

He screamed in anger and clashed his baton against the cane, "You liar! Psycho! A coward!" He pushed him against the rail, "Stand down, father!"

"You wouldn't dare!" Shadow Moth was pinned against it.

Cat Noir's ring started beeping, "Turn yourself in!"

"Never!" Shadow Moth pushed him back, forcing Cat Noir to go hiding to recharge.

"Claws in" He transformed back and gave Plagg the cheese, "Hurry up"

"Come out, Adrien! Quit hiding!" Shadow Moth called out.

"Chew faster, Plagg" Adrien whispered.

"Done!" Plagg swallowed.

"Plagg, claws out" Adrien transformed again, "Give me the miraculous! You tortured them long enough!" Cat Noir clawed the metal floor to make a very loud noise.

"AAAAGH!!!" Shadow Moth held for his ears.

This took Cat Noir a chance to capture both brooches. He pounced on his father and snatched them from him. Detransforming himself back to his old self.

"Freedom!" Duusu squealed.

"At last!" Nooro cheered.

"NO!! I am their master!! Obey me!!" Gabriel yelled.

"You treated them like slaves?" Cat Noir gives their brooches to them, "Kwamis are not slaves, father! When Master Fu gave me a miraculous, I had the freedom to be what I wanna be! He was a good master! You're not fit to be a master! You kept me isolated because of you! You treated me like a slave the same way you did to your kwamis!"

"I did everything I can to bring your mother back! Give them back to me!" Gabriel demanded.

"Don't make me do this! Cataclysm!" Cat Noir charged a cataclysm.

"Don't come any closer! I don't know what a cataclysm can do to a living person and I don't want to find out!" He added.

"I have no choice, Adrien! Hand over your ring!" Gabriel tried to get his ring.

"NO!!" Cat Noir didn't want to hurt him.

He jumped back trying to not touch his father, "HYARGH!" Cat Noir used his left hand to punch Gabriel, "Surrender father! It's time to go to jail!" Cat Noir said.

"If I must be taken, the secrets go with me!" Gabriel grabbed Cat Noir's right hand and forced it on himself, causing great pain, "YAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

"NO! Are you crazy?!" Cat Noir gasps in horror.

The cataclysm spreads rapidly on his arm, turning his flesh and clothes into decaying black dust.

"FATHER!!!!" Cat Noir screamed.

Traumatized by this, Cat Noir ran off in shock and sadness, his father killed himself using his powers. The black ash was the only remains of his father.

(End of flashback)

Cat Noir still felt the memory like a knife in his chest. His father forced him to kill him. He can't call it an accident but he couldn't get rid of his sinful deed of being a killer.

He arrived at his hideout, dropped his loot on the floor, and walks up to bed. Despite the company of three kwamis and his princess, he felt all alone as everyone thinks Adrien's dead.

"Why does my life punish me?" Cat Noir asked himself, "Is it my destiny to feel all the pain and suffering?" He looks at Noroo and Duusu.

"I have no idea, Adrien. Your father tortured us for too long" Duusu said.

"And no matter how many times I told him about the consequences, he magically shut my mouth," Nooro said.

"And he chooses death over justice," Cat Noir said.

"But you saved us," Duusu said.

"Yeah, I did, but then I lost everything, my life, my trust in Ladybug, my friends, mother, all gone," Cat Noir said.

"But you have Nathalie," Duusu said.

"Yes but I don't know how long she has to live," Cat Noir said, the transformation wore off soon.

The next day, Mr. Damocles was on his way to his office and as he got in, Cat Noir was sitting on the chair with his feet on the desk.

"Good afternoon, lousy principal" Cat Noir said while petting a stray black cat on his lap.

"Cat Noir?! What are you doing here?!" Mr. Damocles exclaims.

"Remember, the incident between Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Lila Rossi?" Cat Noir said menacingly.

"Yes," Mr. Damocles backed nervously.

"You never let that poor Marinette explain her side of her story and expelled her?! Such an irresponsible principal!" Cat Noir scratched his desk, "To expel a student, you need a hearing. A local school board seeking to expel a student must give him or her a hearing before doing so unless the student is so disruptive or threatening that he or she must be removed from school before the hearing. In an emergency expulsion, the expulsion hearing must take place as soon as possible after the student's removal" Cat Noir added at how it's supposed to be done.

"I'm sorry Mr. Noir. I did reinstate her after all" Mr. Damocles said.

"You better not repeat it or else I'm gonna show you my cruel side" Cat Noir held his claws close, "Always check your facts first. Oh, and if Lila really has an illness, make sure you check her medical records. Because I know she's a liar" Cat Noir scratched the desk all the way.

"Y-Y-Yes," Mr. Damocles said nervously.

"If anything, ANYTHING, happens to my lovely Marinette in school, I will come back here and make you talk to my claws!" Cat Noir yowled angrily and so did his cat.

"Alright! Got it!" Mr. Damocles yelps.

"If you'll excuse me, I got a cat to give to my princess. I expect responsibilities from you and the rest of the school staff!" Cat Noir left the office to go find his princess.

Inside the school, Marinette was chatting with Alya about putting Ladybug to rest temporarily.

"Are you sure that's a good idea Marinette?" Alya asked.

"The more I face him as Ladybug, the more Cat Noir gets provoked because of my selfish decision a year ago. It's maybe for the best I stay low as being me only, I'm too focused on my duty" Marinette said.

"AAAHHHH!!!! It's Cat Noir!!!" Chloe screamed.

"Do not scream like that" Cat Noir glared at Chloe for being so dramatic.

"Kitty cat!" Marinette smiled at the sight of him.

"I'm not here for Chloe, I'm here for her" Cat Noir walks up to his lady.

"Meow!" Cat Noir's cat meowed.

"Aw, is that a real cat?" Marinette asked.

"For you, my princess" Cat Noir said, "I'll pick him up tonight. My cat is very good at relieving stress" Cat Noir hands her the cat.

"Ah, thanks, Cat Noir" Marinette kissed his cheek.

He can hear the sirens blaring, "Meow. I wish I can get my chin scratched but I gotta go"

"Good luck escaping," Marinette said.
