Deceit POV:

"Hey, Dee." Virgil started, causing me to turn to look at him. We are approaching the house. "Wanna do it?"

"Hehe, sure," I replied. Patton looks confused. But before he could ask any questions Virgo runs up and slams open the door.

"It is I, The emo Boi! And I shall get all your cookies this time!" He yelled. He has the widest smile on his face that I've ever seen.

"Not if I can help it Emo boi!"  Lillian shouted back. I see that Logan and Roman popped in.

"Why are you both here?" I whispered to Roman and Logan, as we watched them tie up Virgil.

"We are here to make sure Patton stays safe," Roman replied, not liking my presence.

"Slimy Boi, avenge me!" Verge shouts while laughing.

"Whelp that's my cue," I say to the three sides. I run into the house.

"Haha! Jokes on you Emo Boi! I am not slimy boi! It is I! Snek boi!" I shouted playfully.

"Noooo! How could you betray me!"

"Jay, Noah! Get him!"

"Yes, Mam/ Okay!"

"Hah! Karma!"

"Oh no! My one weakness! Tiny children!"

"And the jokes on you snek boi! This was all an Act! I've been on their side this entire time!"

"Le gasp! How could you!"

"Jokes on both of you! Lillian, Jay, And I have already eaten all the cookies!"

"Nooooo!" I and Virgil say playfully, while we are laughing.

"Heh, why don't I make lunch?" Verge says after removing the ropes around me, sense we heard Jay's stomach growl.

"Thanks, Uncle Verge." The kids say in unison.

"No problem kids. But I will be seeing if you have cleaned your rooms later. So you all might wanna start on that." Verge said.

"Yes, Uncle!" The kids say giving him one last hug, then running to their rooms.

"They seem to be satisfied with your presence Virgil," Logan said.

"I sure hope they are. It's been four years sense me and Deceit found them..." Virgil said, his face darkening when he mentions the past. He gets up the leaves to the kitchen.

"Four years and it still haunts him..." I mummer, looking worried towards the kitchen.

"Four years?" Patton asked.

"Yeah. I and Verge have been friends for 6 years now. We found Jay, Lillian, and Noah on the ground four years ago. They were passed out and so close to death.... if we didn't take them here, I don't know if they would have made it..." I explained with tears threatening to come out. "We have taken care of them ever sense. But Virgil has been coming less and less Because he didn't want you all to know."

"Why wouldn't he want us to know?" Roman asked. Him and Logan were shocked. Patton looked like he was about to cry.

"Because he thought you all would take them away. He cares so much for these children. As do I, but I know he cares more. He learned how to cook and clean just to help them. He had no interest before. In fact, when he saw that the kids liked his cooking, he wanted to start cooking for you three. But he was afraid Because he thought that you'd all think that he did something to it." I replied.

"Why would we think that?" Logan asked.

"You all never seemed to like him. Besides you Patton. He was just afraid that you wouldn't be able to eat it sense the others might have taken it away." I explained. "In fact, he made something for all of you and made it seem like a mystery gift. He said that he was happy when you all liked it. Never said what it was."

"Well, we get mystery sweets from time to time. Is that it?" Roman asked.

"Most likely," I responded but then Lillian ran past me into the kitchen.

"What?"  Roman Said, confused on why she ran. "Isn't he going to hurt her?"

"If you think that Virgil will ever willingly Or on purpose lay a finger on these children in a harming way, then you are mistaken. If you don't believe me, go look in there." I say. He just walks over to the arch where the kitchen and living room meet.

Virgil's POV:
"Uncle!" Lillian shouts as she comes running in.

"Yeah, Lil?" I respond.

"Can I help you cook? I've finished cleaning my room!" She asked.

"Heh, sure. But do you still remember how to?" I joke.

"Of course I do!" She shoves me playfully, causing us both to burst out laughing.

"Okay ok-" I start But was cut off by my phone. "Why don't you get everything out while I take this. Okay?" I ask her.

"Okay, uncle!" She replied then skips to the fridge. I walk to the reading area.

"Hello? Yes, Jake? Wait... What?! Okay... I'm with them at the kid's house. Yes, I will be over there soon. Yes, I'll just be sending everyone to Thomas. Okay, see you soon." I hung up. I rushed back in.

"Hey, Lil? There's a change in plans. Everyone has to go to Thomas. Okay?" I explain to her vaguely.

"Okay Uncle! I will get boys ready. Do you know for how long?" She questions.

"No. But I will send Jake or I will come myself when it's done." I say as we both walk into the living room. She rushes over to the boy's room.

"Deceit. It's a code 13." I rush. His eyes widen.

"Are you, Jake, Colleen, And Will going to...?" He starts.

"We have to. It's a part of our jobs." I say.

"What's going on?" Roman demands.

"Everyone has to go to Thomas. I will explain later, but I and Thomas's fears just have to do something. Lillian is getting the boys ready." I explained.

"What?! Why?!" Patton exclaims.

"I said I will explain later. But now is NOT the time to argue with me. I have been through this before. You three haven't. I don't want to lose you."

"Let's go. It seems like Virgil knows more about what's going on than us."

"But-!"

"Come on. B-"

I did not hear any more since I had left the room. I went down into the basement and put on my armor. I manifested my sword then went back upstairs to see Roman.
