Grand master's room

"Spy on your fellow masters? You must be joking" said James.

"On the contrary, its the truth and there's a reason behind it" said the grand master.

Soon the grand master got off from his seat and looked out the window.

"Tell me, what do you know of this world so far?" asked the grand master.

"In all honesty, not much. I mean I have read about the worlds out there but I have never actually been to them myself....most of them anyway. Why are you asking me this?" asked James.

"You see James, long...long ago....the great dragon brought life to our world and then came beings that were capable of understanding one another if given enough time. And within that time, everything was peaceful. There were no quarrels or anything else of that matter. However...things were not meant to be, as I'm sure you've already figured out...somehow it was the fairies that became the dominant race. As the years went by.....the world as we know it today, supports that system and now the balance is long gone" said the grand master.

"Still.....I did....something...." said James.

"Be it an accident or something that was done on purpose doesn't matter now. What matters now....is how you choose to live. Why.....even I was unsure of what to do" said the grand master.

"You? But you're already so powerful and wise" said James.

"True, I am without a doubt the oldest and wisest of all the masters out there.....but this does not mean that I am invincible against the creatures of darkness that we face today. Don't forget, I was once like you....young and unsure of myself...but I knew deep down....what I was meant to be. That's why I trained so hard to get to where I am today....I believe that's something you can understand...am I right?" asked the grand master.

"Yes master.....I do" said James.

".........Fairies, witches, wizards and warriors form the main circle of life. Each one plays a part that no one else can fulfill, we all have different methods of getting stronger....but the end result is the same. Each one of us, ready to make our own choices and paths. And above all, we are all expected to serve the citizens of the magic dimension.....and never succumb to the darkness" said the grand master as he placed a hand on James's shoulder.

"I understand.....but.....I..." said James.

"I will not ask if you were the same individual that caused the incident with several enchantix fairies, I do however sense great fear in you. Do not worry my child......fear is just like any other emotion we have. It comes and goes......in the end...it all depends on how you handle it. This....is probably why you were chosen. Because its true.....a strong man can already decide his destiny.....but those with a weak heart....can understand the value of having others all around them" said the grand master.

"Thanks.....I think" said James with a small smile.

Returning a smile of his own, the grand master soon gave James his assignment.

"Come now my young friend, we have much to discuss. Now, as I've said...I want you to spy on two of my fellow masters" said the grand master.

"May I ask for the reason why?" asked James.

"I have my suspicions that there is a secret inbound fight within our ranks. The subject of the fight.....guardian fairies. There are those that continue to argue that the fairies are all the protection that we need while another group is countering their claims. They insist that fairies can't fight on their own, they need all the support that they can get if we are to have any hopes of winning the great war. I don't mind if my fellow masters continue to debate on things that they think aren't worth my time, what I won't stand for however is how they are turning this into internal affair" said the grand master.

"Can't you just stop them yourself?" asked James.

"Well my young friend, I may be the grand master but there is this thing called privacy. There are many things that not even I should know about...but this is something where I feel that something must be done. I have my suspects....the ones that started this fairy debate. Its not just that however.....I also sensed a great desire to overthrow me the wrong way and seize power. If it should be successful, there is no telling what madness will be brought upon the world" said the grand master.

"Still...how am I supposed to find out what they're doing? I'm not one of them" said James.

"That's about to change soon enough, prince James....I'm appointing you to be my personal representative on the masters council" said the grand master.

"Me...a master? Its an honor......but I'm a prince...I'm royalty, I can't follow this method of ranking. The council, they would never accept this and you know it" said James.

"Oh I think they will, once they hear what you're capable of. In fact, I don't think I will need to do much. After all, they were all there.....they witnessed you defeat an 8 foot man quite easily and that is something that will not go unnoticed" said the grand master.

Masters council

"And so my fellow masters, may I introduce your newest member and ally. Master James.....I trust that he shall fulfill his duties well and with honor" said the grand master.

"Its an honor to be with all of you" said James as he bowed.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have some personal matters to take care of" said the grand master as he left.

As James took his seat, he listened as the masters began their debate. As the hours went by, it was finally time to return home.

"Excuse me" said a master.

"Are you talking to me?" asked James.

"Yes, I am pleased to meet you at long last. I saw what you did to the one known as Cafar, that was quite the spectacle. We need more individuals like you out there, only then can the war end that much quicker" said the master.

"Ah please, we don't need him" said another master.

James was soon facing an individual who was in his mid 40's.

"But you saw what he can do, he could be the answer that we're looking for" said a master.

"For thousands of years, the fairies have protected us and all the worlds out there. I will say this again, letting an unknown factor taking over their positions is a wild card that we cannot afford" said the master as he left.

"I'm sorry that you had to hear that, we have been having this debate for quite a while now. While I don't have any grudge against the fairies protecting us, I feel that we must also start to include factors of our own. The fairies can't do this on their own but that particular master and another one states otherwise" said the master as he left as well.

"So.......I've found my suspect" thought James.

Grand master's room

"So, how was the master's council?" asked the grand master.

"Quite boring actually, I can't imagine how those people can stand doing that every single day" said James.

"Haha, well its something that you'll get used to" said the grand master.

"By the way, I think I've found one of the suspects" said James.

"So....you know who to keep an eye on then?" asked the grand master.

"Yes but....you said that there were two. I was unable to identify the second" said James.

Suddenly James's phone started ringing.

"Excuse me" said James as he answered the phone.

"James, where are you?" asked Daphne.

"Oh Daphne, I'm...." said James.

He then looked at the grand master who simply smiled at him while nodding his head.

"I'm in the grand master's room, there was something urgent. Don't worry I'm not in any trouble" said James.

"That's good, I just don't want anything else to happen to you" said Daphne.

"I know, thanks Daphne. Anyways I'll be home soon so don't worry" said James.

"Alright, see you" said Daphne.

Just as James hung up, his phone started beeping. He then dialed Daphne's number as quickly as he could.

"Uh Daphne, strike what I had said earlier. There's trouble and I'm going to deal with it" said James.

"But the fairies will be...." said Daphne.

"But I'm closer, I'm at the capital city. I can pretty much get to anywhere much faster here, I'll be careful Daphne and don't worry" said James.

Before Daphne could reply, James had already hung up his phone.

"I can sense that you have your own agenda with the fairies" said the grand master.

"Sometimes......I wonder why I still try, trying to be something more. What's the point when no one seems to know that you're even there. I don't mind being alone but...." said James.

"You can't help but feel like something is missing?" asked the grand master.

James responded by simply nodding his head.

"We all do what we must, even if it sometimes doesn't make sense. Sometimes being a good person, means doing what you think is right. Our emotions are precious treasures that should never be ignored, however we must learn...not to let them rule us. An example, having confidence is a good thing but overconfidence can cause a person to become careless and reckless. Also, there is a time for forgiveness. You'll know when the time is right when the moment comes" said the grand master.

Nodding, James soon teleported himself onto his plane. After taking off, James soon flew towards the planet that was in danger.

Linphea

The nature planet or realm, everything and everyone in the magic dimension depends on this world for the wide variety of fruits and vegetables that they provide. The enemy had chosen its location well, most of the citizens in the magic dimension are vegetarians and thus this world is their major food source. If this world gets taken over, food supplies will become very scarce.

As expected, paladins, warriors and fairies from the nearby Linphea college were battling against the monsters that were attacking their home planet. Assisting them were guardian fairies from various realms, they too couldn't afford to let this planet fall under enemy control.

James's plane soon landed on a nearby mountain and James could see the war that was being fought.

"First time on this world, so.....much death. I feel so sorry for the citizens that live here" said thought James.

This world was a peaceful planet where everyone is treated as an equal. Hence why the paladins and warriors were able to work so well together with the fairies from Linphea college. However, they needed help otherwise they were sure to lose this war. The guardian fairies were only prolonging the losing battle.

And that is why James was here as he was already crouched in position. What James was doing, was that he was getting ready to do some sniping.

After taking aim, James fired the first shot of pure magic from his finger tips that were pointed in the shape of a gun.

The blast soon collided with the ground and it dealt damage to a wide area. Quickly aiming again, James soon fired another shot. This time, it was aimed directly at the monster nest that was making more of these things. Once the nest was destroyed, James fired his final shot at the ground once more and soon all of the monsters were roasted.

This act did not go unnoticed however as there were already several guardian fairies flying towards his location. Quickly getting onto his plane, James took off. However, the fairies were able to see his face and they recognized him. They looked like they were trying to signal James to land but James...still haunted by what he did....refused to land and instead continued flying until he was in space.

James then inputted the coordinates for his home world and he was soon at light speed.

Unknown area

Meanwhile, the same master that had rudely told James off was soon facing a gigantic figure.

"My lord, it is done" said the master.

"Good, you have done well" said the figure.

"Yes, by boasting that fairies are all that we need.....I have led others to believe that I am firmly on their side. However, in truth.....it is the exact opposite. I despise them, I hate them. They think that they are so superior with their beauty and powerful magic. Well, its time for them to learn what it means......to be someone else" said the master.

It also wasn't long until the other master that wasn't present during the meeting had arrived and he was carrying several items.

"Got everything you need, you sure this will work?" asked the master.

"Its the lord's plan, it always works" said the other master.

"Your faith, will not go unrewarded. You have done well, both of you. You've infiltrated their ranks and now we shall at long last.....have our revenge on those fairies for stealing everything that should be shared. The fitting punishment.........turning every single one of them......into every girl's nightmare.....a boy" said the figure.
