(( Marco's POV ))
Phew, nothing has been happening for the past week.
(YEP TIME SKIP A WEEK!)
I guess everything's back to normal. I and Star were walking home, and Star was ranting about her grades.
"If only I hadn't made that teensy mistake, I would have gotten an A. Marco I was this close, this close!" She said, emphasising on how close she was by her exaggerated actions.
I waved it off, bragging, "And I got first in class! How is that? Yeah yeah whoo!"
She mock frowned, poking my chest, "I will remember you."
We laughed as we entered the house.
Star was about to say something, but I cut her off.
"Yes Star, you should go and shower first."
She flashed a cheery smile.
"Thanks Marco, love you lots!"
---
"By the way, Star you okay?" I said as we tucked into lunch.
"Hm?" She asked, confused.
"I mean your sleeping problems,"
"Ohh. Yeah I am awake. Wide awake." She replied, widening her eyeballs.
"Star stop, I'm eating!"
She rolled her eyes playfully.
I let out an audible sigh.
---
(TIME SKIP TO THE NIGHT)
Ludo and monsters also have not been paying a visit lately, strangely. I kind of like it, it feels like a good workout. Obviously Star would win, please, she's unbeatable.
"Hey Marcooo you can go back to your room now," Star said, breaking the silence.
I looked up and laughed.
"Guess I overstayed the welcome. Fine I'm going back, looks like you will be okay," I said grabbing my stuff.
As I left, Star watched me leave with an unreadable expression.
"Well it was a pleasure sleeping with you," I said as I walked out.
"WAIT WAIT IM SORRY I TAKE THAT BACK!"
Star's unreadable expression gave way to shock followed by laughter.
"I MEAN IT WAS A PLEASURE SLEEPING IN THE SAME ROOM AS YOU YES YES THAT'S WHAT I MEAN."
My face flushed red and I practically ran to my bedroom door.
"Good night Marco, you are so cute!" Star's laughter was audible even from here.
Geez, I screwed up.
Oh well.
I laid on my bed, thinking about the day's events.
Star, star, star.
Ever since I've stopped talking to Jackie, we've not been talking since. Guess it's over between us.
Not like we were together in the first place.
---
Today was a Saturday. Which means a late brunch and chillaxing at home with Star.
"Star," I sang as I knocked the door.
No response.
Looks like she was still asleep.
I opened the door slowly and I was right. I walked over, shaking her awake.
She didn't budge, sleeping soundly.
A wave of shock washed over me. I shook her vigorously, but she didn't wake up.
"STAR! IS THIS HAPPENING AGAIN? WAKE UP!"
