It was a cold brisk night as John walked through the woods. An scruffy, middle aged man, with seedy eyes and a scruffy beard, he was here for one reason. He suddenly ducked down and unzipped his duffel bag, pulling out a hunting rifle. That's right, he was here for poaching. He peeled over the bush he was crouched behind and saw them. Just on the other side of the clearing, 3 baby fauns and a mother. Just enough to bag him enough illegal pelt and venison to pay back his loan shark and then some. As he looked through the scope of his rifle, there was an odd sound, and a bizarre light flash. This, naturally, startled the deer. John was enraged. Picking up his gun, he marched towards the source of the bizarre light. What he saw was unbelievable. A ball of glowing, pulsing light, with bizarre shards of what looked like glass, was levitating a good foot off the ground. John reached out, but before he could touch it, he heard a noise. Like the snort of an angry bull. He slowly turned around, his rifle hefted as he saw what stood before him. A large deer, bigger than a moose, with massive antlers was staring down at him, obviously displeased and confused. John hefted his rifle and was about to fire when the creature charged. John managed to fire one shot, through the beasts antlers, before he was skewered and tossed into the trees.

The next day, a police officer found his body. As well as a nice British couple. After the couple had sorted everything with the police, and properly shielded their young child's eyes, the man, a scruffy, slightly scrawny chap with fingerless gloves and a five o clock shadow turned to his wife, a lovely lady with ghost white hair and stern expression. " Sorry Abby, but it looks like our vacations over." The man stated pulling out a phone. The woman, now known as Abby sighed " You make the call Conner. I'm gonna take Stephen back to the hotel" as Abby walked off, with little Stephen following close behind, Connor pressed a button on his phone and brought it to his ear. " Hey, Becker. It's me Connor. We've got an emergency here in Portland, Oregon. Yes-yes I know it's a shlep but it looks like the anomalies are back and a hunter is dead."

A/N: Hey everybody. It's me. Now if you have never read any of my other stories, that's fine, but for this book you might wanna get caught up on Primeval. I will be excluding the Canadian spin off show as well as the season 5 post credit scene as it never made much sense to begin with. Also the first 5 readers that can guess who Abby and Connor's kid is named after and why will get a cookie emoji and a follow. Also this is a good vibes book so no Lemon or Hateful comments. There will be mention of gore and death however.
