CHAPTER 31
Lisa
I woke up at exactly 5 am and prepared for my class at 8. I wore my uniform, took my bag and waited outside the complex building for my drive.
"Hey." Jungkook greeted as soon as he opened the car door for me instead of the driver.
I gave him a normal smile and went inside the car, "How was the last day at the field trip?"
Jungkook leaned on the windshield, "Nothing special."
"Right."
Silence. We both became silent after that. If it wasn't for the driver turning on the radio, we could've suffered from the awkward silence.
We finally arrived at the school. Rosé immediately hugged me as we walk towards the classroom.
"Oh look, she survived." Jennie pointed at me as soon as we entered the classroom.
Jisoo sat on my table as well as Rosé and Jennie, gathering around me.
"Are you feeling okay now?" Jisoo asked.
I furrowed my brows, "What happened to me yesterday?"
"Oh my goodness! Did you lost your memories too?" Rosé gasped.
I shook my head.
"The nurse said you fainted. We only found you at the infirmary and three guys from Elite B got expelled for no reason!" Rosé explained.
I furrowed my brows, "W-Who brought me to the infirmary? Who told the teachers about the guys from Elite B?"
"We don't know the details about that. The teachers made it too confidential. I don't know if they were told about it or if they were just following strict school rules." Jennie shrugged her shoulders.
I glanced at Jungkook and he was on his table, snoring.
"Lisa Manoban?" A teacher suddenly entered our classroom.
I stood up and everyone turned their heads on me, "Yes, Teacher?"
"The President wants to see you."
It wasn't a long walk from the classroom to the Presidents office since it's only a floor above from ours but I already knew what I was called for.
The teacher opened the huge door for me and left me inside with Kim Jisoo's Mom.
The President of Prime Academy.
I bowed as a greeting, "You called for me, Mrs. Kim."
"Yes and I believe you already know why I called." She leaned on her chair.
I nodded.
"The last day of the field trip, I got a report from your teachers about the attempted harassment and rape you experienced from the students at Elite Class B." She started.
I don't understand why my heart is pounding so fast when I'm the victim here.
"I already expelled the three of them. That's the only thing I can do for you since you're mom, the Queen herself nearly filed a lawsuit. But of course, the parents of the students who caused you harm talked it off." She continued, making my eyes widen.
Mother, knows.
"I called you here to say were transferring you to another school and your papers are ready. You can leave your class today and pack your things back. These are the Highness' orders, not mine. I hope you understand." Mrs. Kim spat.
I looked up to her, "W-What about me? I don't want to transfer."
"I can't do anything about that, Miss Manoban. I'm not your mother." She said.
I bit my lips to stop my tears and contain my frustration. I never really intended to leave right now after what Hyuka said last night.
I wanted to give myself a chance too. But now that my mom found out, her orders are absolute.
"By the way, my daughter talks a lot about you and her friends. It seems like she's very fond of you. Jisoo never talks much about her personal matters to me but I guess I owe you one now." The President said, giving me a smile.
The next thing I did, I couldn't stop my tears now. It was humiliating crying in front of the President.
Jungkook
I feel exhausted.
I slumped back on my seat after taking a pee when Lisa was called by the President.
I'm half responsible for whatever the result is but I'm already powerless beyond that.
As long as those bastards won't lay even a look at her, I won't have a problem with whatever she decides.
"Lisa, what happened?" I heard Rosé behind me.
I glanced at the door and saw Lisa's face all swollen from crying. I was about to go towards her but I stopped when I stood up from my seat.
Control, Jeon Jungkook.
Lisa looked at me. She suddenly marched towards me and grabbed my hand.
"Let's go." She said and pulled me out of the classroom.
"Go where? And what the hell happened with your eyes? Who made you cry?" I asked as I let her pull me towards the parking lot.
"Just get me out of here." She said, pushing me on my own car.
I sighed and rummaged through my pocket to get my keys. I opened the door for her as she stomped her way inside, buckling her own seatbelt.
I went to the driver's seat and started driving, "Where do you want to go?"
"Faraway." She muttered.
I took a quick glance at her bet she's facing the window, avoiding my presence.
It took us 7 hours to arrive at the beach where I always saw at the magazine.
"This is far enough." I said, parking the car near the shore.
Lisa got off and sat on the sand, removing her socks and shoes then soaking them on the waves reaching he shore.
I slowly walked towards her and stood, "We skipped lunch just to get here."
"Why here?" She asked.
"You said you wanted to be somewhere far away. Even your parents wouldn't know you were here." I joked.
"Jungkook..." She called.
"Yeah?"
Seconds of silence before she spoke, "If... If I help you find Eunha, will you be able to forgive me?"
My eyes widened. I stood frozen at my spot as I process what she just said.
Lisa... is asking for forgiveness? What the hell is going on here?
I shut my eyes close, "If she doesn't want to be found, let her be. And you didn't do anything... wrong."
She already did a lot for me to forgive her.
"Why? Don't you still love her?" She asked me once again.
Yeah, I do love Jung Eunha. She somehow and strangely filled a hole in my existence somewhere I couldn't find. But it was one-sided.
I'm not too dumb to not realize that.
"That's why I'm letting her go, because I... loved her." I rephrased.
Lisa became quiet after that. We only stared at the sun slowly meeting the sea, causing a beautiful tangerine, merigold, and daffodil colors painting the sky.
"Do you know why sunsets are so lovely?" Lisa suddenly asked.
I looked down at her as she watches the sun slowly disappearing from the sea.
"Is this a story or a metaphor?" I asked back.
"Both." She muttered and then continued, "The sun and sea are totally opposite beings. The sun is the biggest star in the whole universe. While the sea is the largest component of Earth and beneath the sea, only a few appreciate the beauty inside the depths of the sea."
"The sea is troublesome because it causes typhoons, high tides, flood, tsunamis...it destroys both man and nature. But despite everything, the sun still meets the sea. To show the world there's more to the Sun that's made possible by the sea." She continued.
"Sunsets feels like falling inlove and letting go. Because the most beautiful scenery only comes once in 24 hours before darkness consumes evrything. And sunsets only lasts a few minutes." Her voice became weaker as she finished her metaphor.
I don't know if that was a metaphor for me to Eunha, or for her to me, or if it was a metaphor... for me to her.
I smiled, "Even though it's just for a few minutes, we can still see it tomorrow, the day after after tomorrow, the day after that, the very next day, next month, next year... We can still see that beautiful scenery everyday."
Lisa looked up to me and gave me a hopeful smile, "You're right."
Her smile added warmth to the colors emitted by the sun and sea. She just outshined the sunset right in front of me.
That's the beautiful scenery.
But I knew... It's the last time I'm going to see it.
Lisa
We opened the door to the hotel we checked in. The sunset just disappeared when we decided to find an accommodation.
"Lisa..." Jungkook in between our kisses.
I kissed him deeper and held onto him closer. I want to touch everything. I want to feel everything.
He cupped my ass with both his hands and lifted me up. We couldn't hold back anymore so he pinned me by the door and spread strong lustful kisses along my neck.
"I told you not to take a suite. The bedroom is too far." I managed to speak in between my uncontrollable moans.
He didn't respond. Instead, he carried me towards the bedroom and carefully laid me on the mattress.
He pulled away and stared at me lying beneath him.
"Give me a good reason why we're going to do this when we're both sober." He demanded, looking down at my thighs and up to my lips.
I reached and cupped his face with both my hands.
"Because it's a sunset."

To whoever made the metaphor, credits to her/him. Btw, are the holy waters ready for the next chapter?
