Chapter 2O.

Chapter 20

Under Jackson's kanima claws, I trembled as he held my throat against the wall. What else was I supposed to do? It's not like I had any leverage against Jackson, like super strength or super speed. Jackson was right when he said I was a lost cause. How was I supposed to survive in this supernatural world when I could barely survive the real world? Compared to someone like Jackson, or Isaac, or Scott, I was at the bottom of the food chain.

Terrified I looked over at Allison who face to face with Jackson. Menacingly, he dragged his claw down her check caressing Allison's face. Not to mention he was still naked, which made everything just ten times more delightful. "I just hope your dad has been teaching you moves to protect yourself," he mocked her like a child.

"Actually," Allison replied softly. "He has." All of a sudden, her left hand snapped up and wrapped around Jackson's wrist that had been holding my neck hostage. She didn't knock him off well enough, as Jackson grabbed my hand as he went to fall down. My body was forced faster than I could react, and I was sent tumbling down to the ground under Jackson, knocking my head down in the process.

I screamed out in pain, from the back of my head hitting the concrete. I screamed even louder at the fact that Jackson Whittlemore was naked on top of me. I think that was worse than the throbbing pain in the back of my head. From underneath Jackson, I watch as he was knocked up side of the head with realization. "Ja-Ja-Jamie? What are you doing here?" Jackson stuttered and he scrambled to get off of me, and I scrambled to get out from underneath him. Allison watched with wide eyes as she rubbed the back of her head while leaning against the closest wall.

Jackson struggled to stand up and pull on the closest pair off shorts, and I scooted back beside Allison. I was shocked to say the least. What happened to him? This seemed like the Jackson I knew, not the one Allison and I faced only seconds ago. The locker room door suddenly swung open and I was shocked to see Isaac standing there all wide eyed and shocked. It was explainable, I mean, Jackson still hadn't finished putting on his shorts. "I'm fine... We're fine, Isaac," I tried reasoning with him while stuttering.

Isaac just glared at Jackson, before storming in and shoving him hard enough that Jackson flew several feet through the air until he collided with the nearest set of lockers. My mouth hung open in shock at the pure force Isaac had and watched as several sets of lockers came crashing down.

"Will you ever leave me the hell alone!" Jackson hissed cruelly at Isaac as he looked up at him from the ground.

"Definitely not now, when your naked with my girlfriend in the room," he growled.

Jackson jumped up from his spot and charged at Isaac and lifted him up cramming him hard against the metal open lockers rattling them. He then grabbed Isaac by his t-shirt and flung him across into the shower stall. Jackson then strutted into the showers, to where I couldn't seem them fight anymore.

My heart was racing as I tried to stand up and go after them, but Allison pulled me back down. "Don't get into. Leave them be," she reprimanded.

"But Allison. I hear title cracking in there. What if he's hurt?" I begged.

"He'll only get himself more hurt if your in there to Jamie," she put in. In a hurried voice she said, "I'll text Scott."

I watched in horror as Jackson strided out of the shower stall. He started walking out towards us, but I gasped as I watched Isaac swing his body over the top of the stall and crash down into Jackson's back forcing him down sliding across the floor. Angrily, Jackson went for a forty-five pound weight and chucked it like a frisbee towards Isaac. Isaac luckily caught the weight right before it slammed into his chest, but while he was distracted Jackson smashed him into a towel dispenser and the weight clattered to the ground harshly. Jackson aggressively thrusted Isaac into a sink, smashing it in the process.

Allison and I both watching in horror as the two continued fighting as we wait for Scott to get here. Never have I shaken so much, as I watched the two fight. Tears still freely fell down my face, as I watch Scott rush in and immediately join in on the fighting. Everything was awful as the three tossed each other around recklessly. It wasn't until Isaac was hurled out of the locker room into the hallway that I finally had enough sense to stand up, and so did Allison. Out in the hallway I was shocked to see Erica holding back Jackson against her chest, and Stiles successfully holding back a pissed off Scott.

The commotion gathered the attention of everyone in the hallway, including the not-so-happy Mr. Harris who came barreling down the hallway. "What the hell's going on? Hey! Enough! Enough. What do you idiots think you're doing? Jackson! Calm down! Mr. McCall, you wanna explain yourself? You to Mr. Lahey, since you seem to be laying on the ground. Stilinski! It's always you," he shouted about questioning anyone and anything in sight. Isaac scrambled to get to his feet and stood next to me when he did.

To make things even worse Matt suddenly showed up holding Allison's tablet. "You dropped this," Matt said handing the tablet to Mr. Harris who snatched the electronic device hastily.

"You, you, and you," he snapped pointing at Isaac, Scott, and Jackson "Actually... All of you... Detention. Three o'clock," Mr. Harris announced.

My mouth hung open in shock as I watch Mr. Harris turn his back and walk away. What the hell just happened?

☾"Are you sure your fine?" Isaac asked me for the fifth time since the accident. "Because I sure wasn't done with him yet," he mumbled under his breath. School at just finished and I text my mom I would be home later, god forbid her from finding out I got detention. I was standing at my locker when Isaac slide up beside me asking me about how I feel. Other than the pounding headache and the fear of Jackson lashing out again, I was fine.

"I promise you Isaac, I'm perfectly fine. My head just hurts a tiny bit," I explained.

"I'm sorry about earlier," he apologized resting his head against the cool metal lockers as he looked down at me.

I put the last of my books in my locker shutting it coming face to face with him. "What for? Imagine if you hadn't have been there," I reasoned with him. The look on his face explained it all, as he looked down at me with his puppy dog eyes and slightly ruffled hair. "Thank you," I smiled leaning towards him slightly.

"Your welcome," he smiled leaning down towards me. We were inches away from kissing each other when suddenly my last name was called along with Isaac's. We sighed and turned around and frowned when we saw Mr. Harris beckoning us towards the library. "Of course," Isaac mumbled under his breath as we walked side by side over towards our grumpy teacher.

"Hormonal teenagers," he sneered quietly, but loud enough for us to hear as we entered the library behind everyone else. I sighed a walked past him to a table with Isaac who sat down right beside me.

"Oh, uh... We can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools," Jackson spoke up being the jackass he was. Sorry, but if you hadn't noticed, it was kinda his fault for everything, although Isaac and Scott were also at fault for fighting back. Why Erica, who only held back Jackson, or Matt, well I'm not too sure about him, but those two shouldn't be here. What had they done? Allison and I, we were also at fault for agitating Jackson in the boys locker room. And Stiles, well Mr. Harris would have given him a detention for no apparent reason at all.

"All of these tools?" Mr. Harris addressed.

"No," Stiles pointed out, "Just us tools." He said referring to Scott and himself.

"Fine," Mr. Harris sneered. "You two, over there," he said to Scott and Stiles pointing them to the opposite side of the room. "And I don't want you to making this pleasurable, so Mr. Lahey go sit with Miss Reyes." I frowned, but watch as Isaac stood up and sat right beside Erica and Stiles and Scott came over and sat besides me. I smiled at the two before turning my head to look at Isaac, who was whispering with Erica, only then to glare at Jackson continuously.

"I'm gonna kill him," Scott growled from the seat beside me, as he turned to glare at Jackson who looked like he hadn't a care in the world.

"Go ahead," I mumbled under my breath. "He's so bipolar," I complained. "Not to mention a complete jerk." Maybe I was being over-dramatic, but what Jackson did was uncalled for... even if he was being controlled by god knows who.

"No, you're not," Stiles chided logically. "You're going to find out who's controlling him and then you're gonna help save him. Oh and Jamie," he added. I nodded. "Make sure your boyfriend doesn't kill him."

I scoffed, I knew Stiles enough these past few months that I knew he was slightly joking, but after looking at Isaac's face, I could also tell Stiles was being serious. "Isaac wouldn't kill Jackson," I said defending my boyfriend.

"I can definitely tell that by the look on his face he wants to kill him."

"No. You were right, let's kill him," Scott urged as he turned around to glare daggers into Jackson back.

"Oh... No," Stiles said sounding hopeless.

It had been several minutes and I decided to knock out some homework. Scott seemed like wanted to rest, and Stiles, well he keep looking over towards the table with Jackson, Allison, and Matt really weirdly. I was going to say something, but decided against knowing what was going on in his head.

"Hey. What if it's Matt? I mean, this whole thing comes back to the video, right?" Stiles spoke softly.

My eyebrows furrowed. "What video?" I whispered.

"Long story short Jackson filmed himself the night of his transformation and lost hours of footage, your brother and Matt helped recover it then..."

"Danny's tablet was stolen from the back of his car, yeah, I know. That's all he talks about," I concluded.

"Danny said that Matt was the one who found the two hours of footage missing," Scott added.

"Exactly! He's trying to throw suspicion off himself." All three of us turned to look at Matt who look ordinary as he sat at the table eating a bag of popchips. Everyone at that table looked awkward to say the least.

"That makes total sense," I pointed out. Stiles face light up, but then I added, "In a Scooby Doo movie."

Scott smiled for a second. "So you think Matt made Jackson kill Isaac's dad, one of Argent's hunters, and the mechanic working on your jeep?"

"Yes!" Stiles replied eagerly.

"Why?" Scott questioned.

"Because... He's evil." Again we all glanced at Matt who was still eating his bag of chips.

"You just don't like him," Scott pointed out.

"Neither do I. Have you seen him? It's not like he's a bad person as far as I know, but he's very secretive and always carries that camera around," I mentioned.

"Thank you Jamie. Plus the guy... Bugs me. I don't know what it is. Just look at his face." We all turn towards Matt again who this time was offering a chip to a stern looking Jackson. Jackson shook his head no, but Matt offered again.

"Any other theories?" Scott asked.

Suddenly we heard Matt ask if Jackson was okay. By the looks of it, Jackson had a killer headache as he picked up his backpack. Mr. Harris asked if he was okay, and Jackson said he just wanted to get some water. Mr. Harris stood up and told us not to leave our seats, but the second he was out the door Scott and Stiles were up out of their seats.

I wanted to see Isaac, but it looked like the boys had already taken the two empty spots, so I opted for staying at my assigned table just in case he came back. A minute or so later a voice rang from the intercom, "Scott McCall, please report to the principal's office." Scott nervously got up from his seat and left the library.

Another minute later Mr. Harris came in slightly rushed. " Oh, no, I'm sorry. Uh, yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving. Enjoy the rest of your evening," he muttered before rushing out of the door.

"Ugh! What's his problem. Doesn't he realize it's almost dark outside." I said to no one in particularly as I looked upon the hundreds of books needing to be re-shelved.

"Yeah, well that's the story of my life," Stiles said standing up. I went with Allison and Stiles as we took a cart down one of the rows. A few minutes later Scott rejoined us, and I went to the cart further down the aisle and smiled at Isaac who looked glad to see me.

Right now Stiles was explaining what information Erica told about the death of Jackson's parents. Apparently they we're in a car accident a day before Jackson was born and he had to be delivered by c - section out of his dead mother, who had been on life support until his birth.

"So was it an accident or not?" Allison asked in a hushed voice. Who knows who could have heard. Jackson was only two aisle over and we didn't want him knowing we were talking about him.

"The word all over the report is "inconclusive."" Stiles answered.

"Then his parents could have been murdered?" Scott suggested.

Stiles nods suggestively. "If they were, then it falls in line with the kanima myth. You know? It seeks out and kills murderers."

"But for Jackson?" I asked. "Or the person controlling him?"

"We have to talk to him," Scott said eagerly. "We have to tell him," he said rushing past the full book cart and towards Jackson's aisle.

"He's not gonna l..." Allison trailed off as Scott moved further away.

"Oh well," I said hopelessly as I continued to stock the books back onto the shelves. It looked like the librarians hadn't touched a single book, and I wondered how they even had a job if they didn't even put the books away.

A second later there was a large crash and the lights faltered for a second. I gasped when I looked up and saw Jackson leaping from the top of bookshelf to bookshelf. I didn't know whether to be more fearful of this Jackson than the Jackson Allison and I dealt with earlier, but I clung to Isaac side instantly as debris and glass fell from the ceiling. Luckily Isaac protected me with his body, but I was still hit with the small pieces he couldn't protect me from. I looked down the aisle to see Stiles and Allison also crouched low to the ground covering themselves from the falling litter.

I looked up when I heard a growl and suddenly say Scott fly into the cart of books I had just been stacking. I hold out a hand for him, which he grabs and he pulls himself into the aisle with Isaac, Stiles, Allison, and myself. In shock I watch as Jackson, his face half cover with scales, as he moves his body like he's been possessed by the devil. He wasn't my favorite person in the world, especially after today's occurrence, but I felt sorry for him as he moved against his will. Jackson's arm jerks up and grabs a piece of chalk as he begins to write on a chalkboard behind him.

My heart was already racing, and it was hard enough to read Jackson's handwriting as it is, plus my dyslexia was kicking in and I could barely read the first word. I leaned over to Isaac, "I can't read it what does is say," I whispered so quietly that hopefully only he could he.

Isaac turned to me wide eye, "I says 'Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you.'"
