So you want to enter your story into our Awards but are unsure if you can. You've come to the right place! We're going to run through the rules for the Awards and then go over the participating guidelines so that we can all be acquainted with everything.

✰ The contest submission period is June 10 to July 12, 2023. After the deadline, July 12, 2023 at 11:59PM Eastern Time, any entries submitted to the form below after that time will not be accepted for judging.
✰ Entries must abide by Wattpad's Content Guidelines.
✰ All entries must be finished and marked as COMPLETED.
✰ At this time, we are only accepting entries written in English. We will be opening up to more languages in the future though.
✰ Entries in all categories must be 20,000+ words to qualify. The Short Story category will be the only category that will accept a word count between 10,000–19,999.
✰ All entries must have been first published after January 1st, 2020.
✰ All entries must be your own original work. If you're entering Fanfiction, the plot must be your own.
✰ You may submit more than one story to the Awards, however, you are only able to submit an entry into one category. An entry is not allowed to be entered into multiple categories.
✰ Mature entries are accepted but they must adhere to Wattpad's Content Guidelines.

✰ Can I submit more than one entry to this Awards? — Yes, you may! Please note that each entry is only allowed to enter under one category. Entries that enter into more than one category will be automatically disqualified.
✰ Are mature entries allowed? — Mature entries are allowed so long as they adhere to Wattpad's Content Guidelines.
✰ Can my entry be an anthology or a one-shot book? — No, we are only accepting short stories, novellas, and novels for this Awards. We are not accepting one-shots/anthology books at this time.
✰ Are Fanfictions allowed? — Yes, fanfiction stories are allowed so long as the storyline and story are your original work and not copyrighted.
✰ Can my entry be below the word count requirement? Is there a max limit to the word count of a story? — Unfortunately, we are not accepting stories below 10,000 to keep things fair for everyone with the right requirements. There is no max limit to the word count.
✰ What genres are you not accepting? At this time, we are not accepting poetry.
✰ Is it okay if my entry is not marked COMPLETED by the time I submit it? — All entries must be marked COMPLETED by July 12th. You may submit your entry before it has been marked completed so long as it is marked appropriately by the end of the submission period.
✰ Can my entry be first published before January 1st, 2020? — To make an effort to feature newer well-written stories, we are only accepting entries that were first published after January 1st, 2020. Stories published before this date will not be accepted into the Awards.
✰ Can my entry be part of a series? — Yes, it can. However, your entry must be able to be read as a standalone and our judges don't need to read the prior works of the series in order to understand your entry. There will be questions in the form relating to this so that we can better judge your entry.
