"All okay?" Taehyung chuckled, hands finding his waist and chest pressing into his back from behind. Jungkook shut his phone off in seconds when he sensed the elder so that Taehyung couldn't peak at the conversation. "You were typing furiously."

"All good, Jimin's actually coming over right now." Jungkook turned and squished Taehyung's cheeks, giggling at the distorted features it caused. "Mr.Birthday Boy."

"I'm so old," Taehyung scoffed, smacking his lips when Jungkook released the tension on his skin. "Gonna start wrinkling now and kiss my contract goodbye."

"Dramatic for nothing." The younger grinned, turning on the stool and letting Taehyung step closer. "Your gift's with Jimin, Tae."

"Oh? So you mean it's basically here?" He asked with a raised brow. "Is that what that furious texting was over?"

"I wasn't furious!" He pouted.

"Your brows furrowed, you were muttering under your breath, angel." Taehyung's hands squeezed his side before trailing up to cradle his face. "Don't be anxious, okay? I'll love whatever it is."

"M'kay." His eyes closed tiredly, feeling drowsy with Taehyung's warm breath on his forehead before his lips met the skin and then pulled away. "Happy Birthday. Again."

"Thank you, Koo." He smiled and Jungkook wrapped his arms around the toned torso to bury his face into his chest. Taehyung ran fingers through his hair and Jungkook kissed along his clothed skin, higher until he met the edge of his sharp collarbones. The model sighed, relaxing against him as Jungkook mouthed against the bone.

Taehyung's hands shifted to run his fingers just under the back collar of his shirt, touch grazing his spine.

Jungkook shifted up to press his lips on Taehyung's own, full but light, sweet like the honey in his tea. The low hum of the older's deep voice rang in his ears as he muffled the sound with his kiss. Jungkook pulled away with a proud smile and bunched his fists into the plain black t-shirt the model was sporting as his pajamas.

"Birthday kisses." He looked up at the pretty face and Taehyung tucked some of his long dark hair behind his ear, Jungkook's cheeks warming at the action.

"I love birthday kisses." Taehyung whispered, kissing his cheek just in time for them to give their full attention to the knocks on the door. "He's here?"

"He and Joon Hyung." Jungkook jumped off the stool and nudged Taehyung aside to go unlock the door. "Close your eyes, Tae."

The model did as asked, smiling with grand amusement and Jungkook skipped back to stand behind him and cover his ears in case the gift started yapping.

Jimin pushed the door open once it was unlocked and Jungkook mouthed a direction to get inside and close the door. He saw the small dog bundled up in Namjoon's arms and stifled a loving gasp.

The Pomeranian was staring at them intently, tail wagging when he saw Jungkook's familiar face. The youngest wasn't surprised he was recognized when he and Jimin had gone to a kind dog breeder and spent nearly an hour playing with the dog. Trained and simply needing a home, the dog was eager and excited to be around Jungkook and Jimin— perfect to buy and bring home as a new addition to their family.

His best friends set the bags of dog necessities on the dining table and Jungkook shifted Taehyung forward a couple steps. The model reached a hand behind to hold his side in case and he continued the steady approach. The dog yapped and Taehyung tensed. Jungkook squeezed his hands tighter around his ears, but it was probably too late.

"Can I open?" The older asked quietly.

"Go ahead." Jungkook removed his hands and moved to Taehyung's side in time to see the model's eyes open, then snap even wider a second later.

"What the hell?" He let out a joyed exhale. "That's— Namjoon Hyung's holding— is that dog for me—? Us?"

Jungkook hugged his arm and nodded. "Happy Birthday, Tae."

Jimin was recording as Taehyung took quick steps to their grinning hyung. The small dog was tentative at first, shying from Taehyung's touch, but then admiring the affection Taehyung dumped onto him as the model held him and scratched the spots behind his ears, cuddling the dog.

"Oh, it's beautiful." Taehyung sniffed, holding the dog in one hand and taking Jungkook's with his other. "Thank you so much."

"He's ours. You get to name him, though. He doesn't have a name."

"I need time to think of something perfect." The model fumbled out, cooing again as the small fluff ball braced its front paws on his chest and licked at the model's face. They laughed and Jungkook ran his fingers along the soft furry back. "God, he's actually so sweet."

"He's quite the sassy one, actually." Jimin cut in. "Reminds me of myself."

"Shut up." Jungkook rolled his eyes as Namjoon sent Jimin an exasperated look, and took the dog from Taehyung when the model handed him over. "Is adding him to the household okay? I checked with the front desk about apartment rules and they said it was okay."

"He's more than okay. How'd you know I wanted a dog?"

"There was this interview clip on YouTube," Namjoon beat Jungkook to it. "Jungkook showed us both and said that one day he wanted to get you a dog. And you had that one photo shoot with a Pomeranian before, which you seemed to like, so we all thought it was perfect."

"Thank you, all of you." Taehyung wiped his skin of the dog saliva that had been licked on, using his clean hand to scratch the dog's neck and the dog whined happily.

"Happy birthday, Taehyung!" Jimin tackled him with a hug and the model choked out a laugh as Namjoon also buried him in a hug.

"We should call the others over," Taehyung said after Namjoon and Jimin gave him some space to breathe again. "I'm sure they'll want to meet this little guy."

"They're coming for lunch. It's already planned." Jungkook let the dog down and they watched his small legs scratch around the floor as he explored the place. "He sheds so we should keep him out of the closet."

Jimin and Namjoon shooed them away to go enjoy as they began to unpack the small bed, food and water bowl tray, and other assortments of toys and leashes for the small guy. Taehyung and Jungkook hurried after their new pet, laughing as they found him shoving his nose into the gap under the bedroom door.

Taehyung pushed the handle down and let him inside. "There you go, cutie."

The Pomeranian ran around the carpeted room, evading the dresser and bed posts, pausing by the floor to ceiling glass and backing away, growling at the sudden drop visible past the ledge.

"C'mere," Jungkook kneeled on the ground and patted his lap, catching the dog's attention. He cheered as the legs scampered over and leaped into his lap, rolling onto his back so Jungkook could rub his belly. "Good boy! What a good boy, aw."

"Bring him up here, Koo." Taehyung was lying on the sheets, reaching his arms out and Jungkook frowned.

"Won't the sheets get messed up?"

"We can wash them, c'mon, angel." He grinned at the older and scooped the small dog up to set atop the bed. He tested the soft surface, scurrying around in circles before getting close to Taehyung's awaiting arms. "Honestly the cutest little thing. What should we name you? Any ideas, Jungkook?"

"Nah, it's all on you." Jungkook sat on the edge of the bed and reached over to pat down the hair on the small dog's head.

"Hm, how about Gyeong?"

Jungkook muffled a sharp laugh as the Pomeranian's wagging tail slumped, stilling in his own form of disappointment. "Okay, guess he doesn't like Gyeong."

Taehyung huffed and glared back at the dog. "Maybe Jimin was right about you being a little sassy one." Jungkook pulled out his phone and took a quick picture of the two as Taehyung stared at the fluff ball in thought. His arms were hugged around the dog, a knee drawn up and Jungkook smiled fondly at the picture.

"I think I got something he'll like." Taehyung grinned a second later, scratching the dog's head. "Yeontan. How's that? Can call you Tannie for short."

When they didn't get a negative response, Taehyung took it as a yes and grabbed Yeontan into a tight hug.

"Yeontan's cute." Jungkook shifted closer and laid down next to Taehyung. Yeontan snuggled in the gap between them and the younger glanced at Taehyung. "I'm glad you liked the gift."

"I love him so much. My two precious ones." He reached an arm around both Yeontan and Jungkook, the dog yapping in protest and they burst out laughing. "You are a complete brat, Tannie."

The small growl defied Taehyung and Jungkook nuzzled his face into the dog's neck. "Don't be so angry, Tannie." Yeontan's tail wagged, licking at Jungkook's nose. "Oh, god."

Taehyung laughed and brushed Jungkook's hair from his face. "Dog slobber is going to be added to the skincare, I guess."

"Fuck, I will die for you, Tannie." Jungkook huddled closer to Taehyung and pulled out his phone as Yeontan laid down at his side, tiredly relaxing into the lull of his rising chest. "Look at this picture."

"Aw, that's so perfect, Koo." Taehyung moved an arm under his neck, giving the younger a pillow of support as they lazed around.

"Was thinking this would be an epic online return." He looked up at Taehyung, the model staring at him in surprise. "Post it as a happy birthday post for you."

"You sure? Just because I'm posting doesn't mean you have to just yet."

"Why not? And I want to." Jungkook bit back a smile and let the warmth fill his cheeks. "Our little family."

"Do whatever you want, darling." The older kissed the top of his hair and their hands laced together on Yeontan's back, the slight weight comforting the dog into closing his eyes and napping for some time. "I like this family."

"Me too." Jungkook couldn't stop smiling, nothing seemed to make it deter and neither did Taehyung next stream of words.

"Let's go to Daegu." The model whispered, like he was scared the force of his words would shatter the glass Yeontan had growled at minutes ago.

Jungkook's eyes enlarged at the words. "You're really okay with it?"

"Yeah." Taehyung breathed. "I want to show my parents the family I've come to have."

"Tae..." Jungkook teared up at the words and kissed his jaw, neck craning to reach that far up. "I love you. I'll be there right with you. We can see if Yeontan can come on the plane with us."

"That'd be amazing, Koo." Taehyung wiped his thumb along his waterline and turned his head up to the ceiling. "I can't believe it's almost the new year, too."

"Time flies, doesn't it." Jungkook gazed down at the sleeping dog, chuckling and laying back against Taehyung's arm the next moment. "Can't wait to spend a few months with you and live outside this bubble."

"Can't wait to step outside the bubble with you." Taehyung hummed, the low register raspy in his position. "There's a shoot in a couple weeks. The week of the showcase. You should come to that."

"That's still a couple weeks away." Jungkook quirked a brow.

"Gotta leave some things for next year, don't I?" Taehyung chuckled. "I'll be busy the next couple of weeks closing some deals and informing brands about delays for availability until we come back."

"Don't worry. You got this." Jungkook nodded. "And Tannie and I will be waiting every night to greet you with open arms when you get home."

"You should permanently move in." Taehyung teased. "You practically have already."

"Lugging all that stuff over is a pain, Hyung." He grumbled. "Even if I don't really go back anymore."

"Does Jimin get lonely?"

"He's busy with showcase preparations and Joonie Hyung's around. When we go for break," Jungkook sighed. "I hope he'll be okay."

"Sorry." Taehyung mumbled guiltily.

"No, I'm making this choice because I want to and it's best for me as well. I... I do need to get out, too, Taehyung. Both of us do. Jimin knows I'll probably go insane if I don't catch a break either, so he'll be okay. I'll call the idiot everyday to make sure he doesn't die."

"Are you positive, Jungkook? Seriously, I don't—"

"Taehyung. I'm one hundred percent positive. You wouldn't have asked me unless you thought it'd help me, too."

"Right."

"So, don't worry."

"Okay." He said softly, smiling and looking at Yeontan. "We can take Yeontan along to any domestic locations. To my parents' and if we go to Busan, there, too."

"Sounds like a plan, my prince." Jungkook giggled. "My birthday prince."

"Yours, angel." He held Jungkook's hand tighter and they laid there in peace.

Like Taehyung had told Namjoon and Jimin before, Jungkook brought him peace. Brought him joy, relief, love— brought him the good in the world.

And now he had an extension of their love, a fluff ball that he could carry in his arms like it was Jungkook's heart itself.

"I love you." He said to the both of them. His best, priceless gifts.
