Brooklyn's POV

I was happy with Joel and was nervous for court, but hoped everything would be okay. That's when I saw it. I started screaming in fear. I saw Joel fall on the ground as I ran to get Moriah. I was on my way when I saw Luke looking worriedly.

"Brooklyn! I just heard what happened. Are you okay?"

"I am! Joel's not!" I said as I ran toward Moriah while Luke followed. I found her sitting nervously with Courtney and the boys.

"Brooklyn! What happened?" She asked as she stood up.

"Everything was fine until Joel got shot. I don't know what to do!" I said with tears going down my face. She came and put her hands on my shoulders.

"You need to listen to me. Luke is calling for an ambulance. You stay here with Courtney. I will go with Joel." I nodded. She hugged me then.

"I'm sorry. I'll see you soon." I could tell she was trying to keep it together.

"Bye." I said quietly. She left with Luke and Courtney came over to me and hugged me as I started to cry. "It's okay. It'll all be okay." She said. We went to the bus after Joel, Moriah, and Luke left because the boys needed to sleep. Courtney put them down and came back to me.

"Are you seriously okay?"

"Not really," I said with my eyes watering up again. "I saw who shot Joel... uhh... It was my dad. I knew I'd mess everything up staying here." I said as I started crying.

Courtney's POV

"No, no, no. Absolutely not! You didn't mess everything up!" I said.

"Yes I did! Joel! He's in the hospital because of me! He is hurt because of me! He might have died or will die because of me!" She said, sobbing. I put my arm around her shoulders to try and comfort her.

"No! I'm sure he's okay. It wasn't your fault!" I said, hoping it would secure her.

"How can you still care about me?" I was shocked.

"Why wouldn't we care about you?"

"Because I could've killed Joel!"

"You didn't kill him! You obviously don't realize how loved you are!" I said that and she looked down, silent.

"Do you realize that Moriah and Joel love you so much? They love you enough to spend a lot of time on you for the adoption and everything else! Luke and I love you! We love having you around and so do the boys. They love you too! The whole band and all the fans love you! And most of all, God. He loves you more than anyone else could. You are a blessing. Do you realize that?" She looked like she could explode.

"No! You're wrong! God doesn't love me! How could he? He let me parents torture me for 14 years! He let all my family die! Why would he love me after all I did?" She wiped her tears and ran out of the bus.

"Brooklyn! Come back here!" I yelled as I ran out after Brooklyn. I quickly ran to Ben and Mark.

"Brooklyn's run away. Ben can you come with me and Mark, can you please keep and eye on Jude and Phoenix in the bus?" They both nodded and Ben and I were off.

"I think I might know where she is."

"Where?"

"When we were walking around this afternoon, we decided to walk around the arena. She found a little spot and said it would be a good place to sit and think."

"Show me where."

As we were walking, I got a call from Luke.

"Hi, darling... what's going on over there?" He asked, probably noticing the sound of me crying.

"It's Brooklyn. She's run away. Ben said he thinks he knows where she is, but who knows! I don't know what to do!"

"I'll be there as soon as I can. Just say a prayer while you look." He said with worry in his voice.

"Okay. Thanks. I'll see you soon. Love you."

"Love you too. See you soon."

When we got to where Ben showed, she wasn't there. I started crying after I calmed down.

"Ben, what are we supposed to do?"

"I don't know. Maybe just walk back to the bus and wait for Luke so he knows where we are."

"Okay. Let's go."
