Exactly eleven days have gone, while some recovered from their injuries, the leaders of the Packs had created a large meeting within their Pack to explain what they know, the update and answered many angered and cries of parents. Many were perplexed that Alpha Rowan was pushing this and convinced the other Alphas to allow this and now the Packs were invited to a meeting to have an update. Standing mics were in front of all the speakers.

"In the light of the event in the forest, exactly one week ago, we brought you into a meeting for the Pack concerns, no claim for the attack had been made; we are still trying to identify and put a BOLO on the face of the five suspected false trackers. Our investigators in a conjoined team with ShootingLightning Pack, MetorLight Pack and StarLight Pack are still working on the reasons why they had passed inside the MoonLightning Pack territory. We understand you demand answers, but not much concrete evidence could confirm or discard any hypothesis."

Kai and as many students who had to run literally for their lives in chaos were sitting on plastic chairs with their parents waiting for any concrete update. She was sitting with her brothers Keagen and Kylan; they were out of the hospital after three days, the rest of her siblings were acting as instructors, warriors, or next in line Beta for Greg and they were requested to be around the room and in front to answer questions. Her mother was next to her father "supporting him" on the stage sitting on those comfy chairs, she couldn't sit with them due to the fact she had a title as the Beta's mate and wife, she needed to have a strong presence.

"Rumours had been going on that more attacks to come, would the school be closed? Would you put all four Pack under Pack Emergency? What does CreaGic government say about it?" a mother questioned out.

"The authorities had assured their complete support on that matter, but they also have been occupied with other cases and since we are four Packs seem you do the minimum to show that you are acting upon it."

"You don't do enough. Left us six hours while the other students from the others Packs after debriefing, checking their health and taking statement were tuck in their bed. Both rush to the hospital where mom stays all night. If it wasn't for the first aid knowledge of the other Packs. "I'm leaving, this was a pointless meeting, we just got confirmation you will do nothing while there are a threat and a target on us. I won't stay and listen to more nonsense. Maybe we shouldn't trust an Alpha that convinces other Alphas to embark in a dangerous practical test when everyone says it was not ideal due to the rumour and possible threats like you wanted to see who was strong enough to beat trackers."

"Are you testing my authority?" the Alpha wolf in Alpha Rowan Woody was feeling more and more threatening. He could not lose their support, they must stay under. He will have to convince his Beta to talk to his daughter and to reason with her so she could publically apologize.

"Maybe, maybe not, just merrily questioning whether we should see the corpse of our friend soon or more attacks that may get us more injured."

"Don't be silly, you have a deal without Sherman on attacks like this before he was born," Addryen exclaimed shaking his hair, he was on the side against the wall. " The others are just bonus who are running errands of talking to the families and checking at the hospital, but both Luna and Alphas had made multiples appearances with their people, unlike you, probably cozying up in your house."

"I wonder if we should feel safer going to the others pack," another kid wondered out loud exchanging openly glanced with his friends.

Beta Ward was feeling helpless, it stung him that she questioned his loyalty and he shot a glance to his petrified gasping wife who was sitting next to his seat. She hasn't moved yet nor talk to support either her friend Luna Karen Woody or him, Rowan Woody. He saw Seth and Oliver slowly backing out from the meeting, exiting, probably to get Kai, she had nightmares and with the recent attack forcing her to kill someone and see so much blood. She was insomniac and would just lay on the couch in the living room, not smiling just silent. Everyone in the family was trying to cheer up and except when his brother, Beta of the ShootingLightning, took her to the hospital as a request of Alex himself. He wondered if something was going with them so with the five guys lurking around her. He had seen how cozy Ralph and Jonathan, he wasn't that blind. He wished she was still five or six years old, the perfect age where she would trust him and woke him up at night when she had a nightmare. Now, she was relying on others.

Now, these kids were questioning and putting more doubts in the head of their parents it would be harder to control the group, and somehow his daughter was right, the threats mostly concerned them but the other packs seemed collateral damage. Unlike, the MoonLighting Pack, the other Packs have applied a part of the Pack Emergency and while school was still open, students were not mandatory to attend school and patrols were more frequent in the street. All training sessions were canceled and any evaluations that went with it, they had deployed psychologist, doctors and all a medical team to assist the witnesses and nearly witnessed, their teens had been in the charge, and hospital medical team had accepted help and were working in a conjoined team. The MoonLightning Pack members were on edge following that meeting, many wanted to move temporary to StarLight and MeteorLight Packs as they were the farthest from the MoonLightning Pack territory. At school, there's was an uneasy atmosphere, people were more serious or more lunatic because they were worried and concerned, teachers were more accommodating. Some students were missing, especially when they decided to close the elementary school, a decision that Alpha Rowan hadn't rejoice when he announced closing the elementary and kindergarten for an indeterminate time. He was arguing been very happy saying that education was important for the future generation. On the other hand, Alpha Rowan had to think that no parents would bring their children to elementary school if none of the other Packs allies were doing it, a bandwagon effect.

Kai was going to get her lunch in her locker and checked on Keagen's practice with Kylan. They were back in their normal daily routine and the guys were completely healed and fit to hit the sports practices, she didn't know what kind of sport he was doing, she wasn't caring much all she knew is that he wore a jersey and that she was gonna meet their other brother Kylan there. She felt her bond with Jonathan tingling letting him know he was near her, she glanced around to catch his frame, he was quite noticeable within the mass of students. His face was devoid of emotion except for that frown. He grabbed her.

"Jon, what?"

"You need to leave," Jonathan said in a hushed tone," renegades and rogues werewolves are stepping in the school to found you and kill any students. Marco.." she glanced back quickly seeing Marco near a fire alarm. "You need to run through the forest go to the North, NOW! Run North.

The fire alarm spooked everyone who momentarily stopped talking or walking.

"THIS IS NOT A DRILL!"

"LEAVE!"

"MOVE UP!"

"GO ! GO!"

"EVACUATE!"

Throughout the chaos made by everyone trying to evacuate through the exit doors of the school, some took the risk to stay and explode in their fur. Kai was able to escape as her brother grabbed her hand as the fire alarm went and hold it trying to contact their other triplet to join them. He didn't want to let her go not again, was it intentional, did she knew they were gonna attack the school? Were they really someone out there ready to kill them? She went back and ducked them down so people don't see her going to the forest.

"Hey, can't believe the fire alarm went, guess it's a practice," Keagen called out jogging toward them.

"Keagen if you value your life you either stay here and let us go or you follow us and shut your mouth. We need to move to the forest it's just a diversion to slow them down I need to be on the move."

Her brothers just nodded out, just questioning her sanity but refused to abandon her alone in the forest when less than two weeks they were attacked.

"THERE! FOLLOW THEM!"

"Fuck," Kai swore before running full speed into the forest.

No longer trekking steadily, just running at a fast pace to keep a distance from them. Shots were fire and the trip inwardly ducked as they kept running. Going deeper and deeper in the forest right as Jonathan indicated, the North. The trio was in alert wondering what could they expect,

"Ky and Ke, it's going to be very similar to the forest test but this time, we have mercenaries and we outnumbered. They won't play nice around us, they will stalk us like prey and pounced on us with no mercy not to test us but to kill us "

They moved steadily listening to any suspicious noises wondering why and when they will attack them. Kai was between her brothers making sure to walk as fast as them when they slow them and find it was enough of distance.

"Why don't we wait for the rescue team or let our brothers know thought the sibling bond where we are?"

"Too dangerous and it means you will need to shift which we do not want! Patrols were all request at school by now. We are going to camp here, I'll be on the first watch later on. SShhh."

A forgotten radio laid in a pile of colourful leaves orange, green, red and yellow. Kai flicked on the channels of the radio listening at the lowest volume.

"Orders are simple: Less communication between us so they don't know our location, only emergencies. Find the girl and the five boys with her. Keep them alive if you knock them up, it's fine. We just need to bring them back, they wanted them back on the tests. Tried to keep your human form, wolf scents is gonna drive the warriors up to your location. No deep wounds, I don't want some bloody scene and it leaves traces to our base."

She closed it as they heard the branches being a crush. A man was standing there.

"Found you! Little kitty,"

She growled lowly before jumping on him not waiting for him to respond, the man tried to twist her arms behind her back before throwing forcefully on the ground and punching her left and right cheeks. She kicked his stomach repetitively to get his grip loosened and that he stopped punching her face. Kylan and Keagen finally snapped to yanked him off and beat him as good protective brothers. Kai gasped for air to go to her lungs, she looked at the trees, one of them possessed a knife, she knew that they have carved in the trees just in case. While her brothers were busy, she grabbed a switchblade, a dagger and a blade. It should do it, for now, she imbibed he switchblade with poison that will let him sleep to oblivious delusion.

"Back-up, guys, I think you knock him off," both obeyed as she made a neat cut with the blade and pressed the automatic switchblade on the wound letting the poison sink inside his blood.

"It should slow him up a bit and let the warriors find him, take his radio and keep it with you, better closed it so they don't know one of their men. Let's search for anything that could be useful or useful for him that we need to take."

They quickly stop near the river or any stream to collect water before moving on a hill for the night. Keagen was still wearing his short, and his sport shirt and the others were in regular clothes but not the best for a cold night. They stopped at a few trees and grabbed a few blankets for the night, and a food.

"Oh my god, there's place in the forest that is hiding this!" Keagen exclaimed, why did no one tell them during their practice in the forest.

"Only a handful of people can have access even if I told you where they were."

"Oh." Letting silence fille the air as they sat next to each other on that hill behind that rock.

"Can't believe we are going to miss Halloween!" Kylan said shaking his head disappointed.

Ah yes, Halloween, Kai forgot that today was October 31, guess it one way to spook people out.

She grabbed the chocolate bar and eat it.

"Start sleeping guys, one of you is next shift!"

In reality, there's no way she was going to wake them up, with lack of sleep, they were really cranky and she didn't deal with that. Plus, it wouldn't be the first time, they pushed her limits to stay awake more than seventy-two hours with a serious deprivation of sleep. At dawn, she woke them up, the brothers did realize that she did not wake them to take a turn into watching.

"Kai... you haven't slept much in the past week nor for the past thirty hours, Kylan and I will have you piggy-back ride for a few hours. Sleep a bit." Keagen nearly ordered. "Just tell us where to go."

"Keep going to the North, we need to cross the border and reach a cabin."

"Okay," as he properly hosted her on his back, dropping on his needs with a straight back so Kai can strap her arms on his shoulder bones, letting his arms go on each side and put his arms under her legs.

They moved for another day as a trio hoping not to get attack by people. They were entering November and the weather was clearly stating this by the cold wind. During that night, they were attacked and disposed of the bodies, they found a small blanket (the other blanket back in the hidden spots in the forest). On the third day, they were attacked twice and the second attack came to nearly sweeping Keagen, it put Kai in some kind of trace, autopilot, to just survive. She killed one person and her brothers each one in the first attack and in the second three people. She had the killer instinct and with the amulet made in a wolf that was designed and given to the only tracker which she had stolen a few days ago at the unknown of her brother Oliver. He would have her head if he knew, but it was there to mask her scent. She was breathing and only the will to keep going, but first, she needed to assess her brother Keagen injuries. She grabbed her small box of antidote, she knew exactly what poison was used, and if these men were carrying more of that poison, they stood no choice as the antidote was not duplicate in the box, she didn't tell this to her brothers. They would both freaked out.

"Sis, are you alright, you just kill..." Kylan questioned.

"Later, Ky, we got to save Ke, he's bleeding and poison by the blade on that attack. Keagen can you hear me? If so squeeze Kylan's hand. " she waited for the nod of Kylan before continued, Kylan nodded receiving the squeeze. "I need to remove your shirt," she discarded it. "I'm going to use a syringe with a needle to pierce your skin and injected you the antidote. Kylan is going to restrain you so try not to keep me while on your stomach, okay," tears were spilling this was getting too much, normally Phil and Kenden were able to handle her emotion in check, now she was all alone.

Keagen saw his sister's eyes pooling of tears and tried to talk.

"Won't hurt you, do..do it." he was feeling so weak so suddenly must be a large dose of poison.

That poison was making him go delirious and soon his limb will try to push her out of the way. She glanced at Kylan who was frowning gripping their brother as she put her weight on him, straddling his stomach, so she does not receive a kick from his feet. She couldn't sterilize the region where the needle would be inserted, as he started trashing. Kylan was doing his damnedest to keep him down, Keagen'eyes went wide as Kai inhaled deeply before she stabbed the needle on his chest where the esophagus was situated. He grunted as the needle pierce his bare skin as she pushes on the plunger. Keagen eyes stared back at his sister's face checking, he knew this was emotionally hard for her, the fact that she just killed these men and beat them up when they were at least one time her size.

"We need to transport him somewhere where he can rest while we wait for the antidote to work. He can't walk, can you lift him up in bridal style?"

Kylan nodded as he took their brother who mumbled intelligently.

"Start walking, I'll be right behind you."

Kai cleaned all the mess, checked the bodies and pushed them over away from the actual place of death, she couldn't wait for them to find her. She knew Marco and Jonathan were probably coordinating to find her if Rowan was not stopping them as he held grudges on her. She felt throughout the bond when Addryen was poisoned and hurt from those bad people. She quickly checked on Ralph, Phil, Kenden, and Matt. Matt and Phil were on the other side of the forest kilometres from them, Kenden and Ralph were already at the cabin. She just hopes no one would try to sneak on them, again. She needed to send Keagen to the cabin now, she could trust energy toward him speeding his healing abilities and direct him to the cabin without stopping for sleep or drink. She just needed to convince them both to go get help.

It wasn't too hard to found them, Kylan nearly punched her in the neck as she was smaller than him.

"Sorry, sis, I thought."

"It's fine, how is he?"

"Sleeping out of exhaustion, so what do we do, these mercenaries don't stop coming."

"Yeah, I was thinking to give you the energy to heal him enough, so you both walk there in autopilot mode."

"What woah, I'm not leaving you alone in this forest where I'm not even sure where we are, certainly not near the border."

"Keagen would need someone to protect him and support him during his walk."

"Out of the question, Kai! No way! Look, you do your energy thingy, gave him mine too at the same time, it should give us time."

"Okay," as she closed her eyes to mentally captures a part of Kylan's energy through the bond

Then she tricked her triplet into going get help Keagen leaving Kylan and her waiting for reinforcement warrior and help one of her brother wanst supposed to be the plan, the plan was to save her two triplets and slowed down the mercenary out there. Kylan was stubborn to stay with her. Kai found a bit of piece that her brother Keagen was going to leave, she disappeared for a second to go to the" bathroom," removing the necklace as the wind pick up leaving a trail of her scent. They would not go to the cabin, they were heading East South.

It took nearly a week, three days in the cold of the forest killing other mercenaries, getting injured with deep wounds and surviving with nothing to eat and always on the move no sleep. Just their will. They changed their direction and never reach the cabin. It was a long process, Kylan was having a hard time not to breakdown as his sister just changed to void of emotion and keep pushing their limits. Kylan didn't want to fight her but knew the moment, she was overexerted, and she kept fucking bleeding.

On the seven or eight-day, Marco found them followed by Alex and their siblings behind and two teams of warriors, one securing the area, another was helping to direct the helicopter and helping to gave first aid kit to Kylan.

"Fuck, Kai, it's going to be alright! Oliver helped me out! She was severely poisoned with different agents, I got to inject the antidotes," as he tears with his hands the fabric of her sticky blue shirt.

"No," she tried to cry out, " Kylan needed them first."

"It's okay Kai, we got multiple duplicates, and I glance at him, he doesn't need an antidote. It's been two-three days, we got to the cabin and found your brother, Ralph, and Phil. You too were hard to fund, you did good Kai. You did good. Now sleep."

"You stay?" her speech was getting slurred as she tried to focus on Oliver's face knowing that Marco would be somewhere near her working as a chicken without a head.

"Yes, baby sis, I got you, never letting you go again."

She whimpered as she felt Marco's heavyweight setting on her stomach nearly cutting her oxygen.

"Sorry, Kai but it needs to be done." As he stuck the needle on her chest while Oliver wanted to yell but didn't want to scare her off.

"Kylan is going by helicopter to the hospital, he doesn't seem to be poison, can we grab her?" a warrior called out

"No, I still need to inject at least six antidotes and a few antibiotics, right now, get another helicopter," as he prepared to inject an antibiotic on the elbow joint, before realizing that he needed to check on Kylan seeing that Kai was weakly fighting him. Marco assumed that Kylan was not injected poison, but Kai reaction made him questioned his first thought.

"What the hell?" Oliver exclaimed before muttering soothing words to Kai as Marco jogged to Kylan who was on a stretcher. He glanced at him.

"He's fine, no poison, unlike his sister. Get him to the hospital."

As Marco returned to give the rest of the injections, Kai kept trying to talk and hang on to be awake for the rest of the procedures. On the last needle on her elbow joint, did she gave up staying awake as Oliver took her in his arms as she finally fainted.
