"So what was the bad news you wanted to talk about?"

Jamal was driven while Keagen served as the copilot in the car and Kai and Kylan were behind. The other sibling's instructors were out there talking about technicalities and with a few threats, Jamal took his younger sibling back home after they wait at the training compound.

"What do you mean?"

"This morning you had your face of bad news. How do we tell or not tell her?" she quoted with her fingers.

"The trackers and some warriors were a bit outside of the territory and were coming back through the forest, on the other side of our territory. They found four bodies, the medical examiner is checking on them but we first impression is that they were dumped there three years ago. Speculation is that they found Pi Ho's body well mostly bones, he disappeared around your time."

"What is confirm?"

"Not exactly, the lab is still running so is the medical examiner must be overviewing the corpse but since you might have seen him when uh..." Jamal said feeling discomfort suddenly to revive a memory as he glanced in the mirrors on each side of the car and in the rearview mirror.

"What Jamal mean, sis is that they might question you if the medical examiner declared it's really Pi Ho. Since you might sometimes know about his disappearance and..."

"The lab is running fingerprints and other pieces of evidence, but they just wanted to ask what happen

"Can I say no?"

"Not really ?"Jamal said frowning, why would she refuse to speak to the police if she knew something that could help grieving parents.

"I need to make some calls," she mumbled, as she pulled out her phone to text.

Phil and Kenden would call their contacts in the CreaGic police and the CreaGic official. As they arrive, Kai opened the door and walked fast to reach the door and opened it, holding her phone to call Kenden.

She changed herself while her brothers were busying taking a shower, Jonathan and Matt were walking toward her house skipping over the sidewalk for the lawn, they were walking at a fast pace. The rang the doorbell to let Kai know of her arrival as she probably went to change herself.

"Hi, Jonathan and Matt didn't know one of the boys wanted to see you."

"We are here for Kai. We need to talk to her," Jonathan said as polite as he could because he couldn't stop himself from trying to look behind her to get a glimpse of Kai.

"Well I hope it's not long, we have a guest later on," Kai's mother mentioned hands on the hips and thin lips.

"I will watch them," Jamal said as he appeared next to his mother looking at them, maybe he will learn something about Kai's past.

Kai appeared in between them ducking herself to reach Jonathan and Matt looking stricken worry.

"No worries, we will be just outside in the front Mrs. Ward, "Matt seeing that Jonathan was losing control of his wolf side.

"It's not necessary Jamal," she said looking at her feet feeling shy.

"I insisted," as the walked outside and Jamal stood a few meters away from the trio, arms crossed over his chest frowning trying to prick up one's ears.

"So," she asked as she hugged herself worrying.

"Phil went to check the morgue, Kenden went to make the call, Ralph went to check the place,"

"He will see the truth, we saw him getting the talk by Alpha Rowan, I won't be surprised if..."

The shouting of swears and angry jumbled of words were picked by Matt and Jonathan who exchanged a glance. They saw a six-feet- five male running toward them, he was a tan guy, but they didn't take too much the time to analyze before Jonathan took a split decision.

"Get INSIDE!" as Jonathan grabbed Kai forcing her to follow him in the direction of the front door. Placing himself behind to shield her as he felt his bones cracked to shift.

Jamal furrowed brow pondering on why Jonathan was suddenly pulling her toward the front door of the house.

"Man," Matt said calm down.

"YOU! YOU GOT HIM KILLED. YOU BITCH SHOULD DIE!" As the young male adult, Pi Ho's brother, Matt recognized shouted waving his middle finger. Pi Ho's brother pushed Matt aside so violently Matt felt back. As Matt land on the lawn, Pi Ho's brother wasted no time to grabs a rock from a bag he was carrying. He threw the first rock in direction of Jonathan and Kai, quickly grabbing others to throw at them. It took three rocks, one hit Jonathan who was shielding Kai, one at the door right thru the glass and the last land next to them before Jamal snapped out of his staring state to stop Pi Ho's brother.

"HEY!"Jamal said realizing how crazy Pi Ho's brother was as he ran toward him to immobilize him.

"YOUR SISTER GOT MY LITTLE BROTHER KILL! YOU BITCH!" Jamal jumped on him to restrain him from his movement as the guy kept yelling profanities and struggle to get up.

He crashed the guy on the lawn, putting his body on the pressure on his stomach to cut the air and grabbed his arms to stop them moving and flip him back. He applied pressure because he would not hurt his sister while he was there and force himself to shift his arms to his front limbs and claws appeared to have a better hold of him until back-up comes. As members of the Resistance started arrived and surround Jamal and Pi Ho's brother. They were accompanied by Ralph, the civil task force agents and some warriors all stepping on the lawn. Blocking Pi Ho's brother from escaping at any possible outings. Two agents, three warriors, and Jamal straighten the culprit.

"Let's go! We are going to talk," one of the warriors said.

It took the six of them to make him move and pushed him inside the car.

Kylan came down hearing the shouting to a sight that he never thought he would see, Jonathan on top of his sister, right on the entrance of their house, what was it with the boys today, all wanted to be near his sister, hovering?

"Hey, Jon what's about it?"

No answer, they were waiting.

"It's clear. Safe. you can come out, we are gonna check on your injuries."

"The rock hit Jonathan's back," Kai muttered lowly, tears running as Ti Ho, Pi Ho's brother, voice.

"Well, it would have land to your face if I wasn't shielding you," Jonathan commented trying not to sound sarcastic with Kai.

"What's going on! This is no baseball!" her mother shrieked horrify by the sight her lawn was given and shards of glasses. Standing in front of Kylan while her husband, the Beta, just arrived annoyed by all the noises.

"Boys, I told you," her father sighed, assuming what happens, as he was inspecting the damage and all the glass hards spread on the epoxy flooring.

"Sir, Madame, someone just threw three rocks to your daughter and would have thrown more if her brother Jamal has not reacted faster to restrain him. Furthermore, Jonathan's body had shielded her from receiving these rocks, she was the clear intended target and the police will need to investigate," Matt had come not to argue to but to expose the facts obviously annoy that he needed to manage the situation with the Beta and his wife.

"OH GOD," The mother said gasping while putting her left hand to cover her open mouth in shock.

"Is it a threat against me through my daughter?" That was the most plausible explanation and not the first time his children was a recurring target because he was the Beta of the MoonLightning.

"Possible, sir but that's just an unconfirmed possibility, a few werecops and warriors will be checking around and investigate," Matt explained.

The father nodded, "I need to get a guest but will they be okay ?"

"Yes, an ambulance was called by your neighbor and they are checking Jonathan and Kai. if you excuse me, I got to give everything to the people who will investigate."

Ralph left them standing in the entrance while the father sighed and kissed his wife's left temple before going out to reach his car to get the guess, his eldest son Greg. He would be worried at sick seeing all these people, the civilian task force.

They were both fine, they answered the civil task force warriors before they were let go to go home. Dante and Iann had approached her and thanked Jonathan for his action before both pulling her in a tight hug.

"You're okay?"

She nodded to scared that her voice would quiver under her fear.

"Let's go home and get you ready for Greg, he was the surprise, but let's not tell mom,"

"Yeah, better not tell mom, that you reveal the secret," Iann teased out before Dante helped Kai walked and lifted her up so she doesn't stay on the glass shards.

"Sorry young one, you will need to use another door, this is part of the evidence yet taken in the protocol," a man from the civilian task force said.

Dante nodded before carrying her. Kai wanted to close her eyes for a second, this was too much a rollercoaster. They have found Pi Ho's body, well bones, but still, she wasn't sure if she should feel grateful that someone found him or hate that people will peer in their past.

They settled her on a chair while the other siblings joined them and started asking questions. Their mom was fussing in the kitchen probably preparing food and drinks. She came giving setting a glass of water and asked one of the boys to help her out bringing the food and drinks on the table. Kai stayed silent sitting on the chair.

"We are at home, mom!" called out from the backyard door, a long time overdue sound, Kai remember.

"Welcome!" her mother exclaimed quickly letting the platter of salad on the corner of the table.

Hugs and greetings are made as Greg grabbed her and hold her in a comforting embrace and lifted her up. She giggled before asking to be put down, but he did not do it before he spoke to their parents. Everyone is happy to see him back home.

"Heard you got hurt?" Greg voiced out curious about what he missed.

"It's nothing, " Kai mumbled feeling shy by the previous event.

"Nothing?" Dante said outrage by his sister's answer, he knew she didn't like the spotlight," someone throws rocks to you, less than two hours before!"

"And let's not forget all those boys around you!" Kylan cut in before Greg can react out loud, supporting and backing up Dante.

"WHAT? Did you know," Greg asked as he stared at their father. "You didn't tell me that?" He said shocked since their father didn't answer.

"Look, for the boys, she's fifteen, werewolves are going to give her some attention at one point, she is going to be the mate of someone, so yes she's our little girl but people would be interested in her and I have to learn to accept it even if I don't always appreciate it."He paused. "Plus, Kai is uncomfortable why don't you tell your mother and siblings about your travel?" The father said as he would get a blanket to coat Kai. As she tapped on his shoulder to be put down and with a shaky walk reach to Dante as he started rubbing her arms to create heat as she was cold and readjust the blanket.

"I was traveling and was working under the tutelage of an Alpha before founding my mate. She was a rogue, and the Alpha did not want her to set foot in his territory, but I was able to convince him to let her alive. I communicate with our Alpha who accept to have her here. I really hoped you like her," the last sentence to his sister but she was elsewhere already in her mind.

Kai had read a lot and enquired from other people experience about the mate bond. It could be between anyone from human, to vampire, to the fairy, magicians, any other shape-shifter species or hybrid just to name a few examples of possible mating. It could be from any sexual orientation thought asexual are rarely pair up and are mostly left alone to become warriors or protectors of the community with no real attachment of love - love. Most mate bond is made and decided by their Gods and Goddesses of the Moon. The people above them that no one sees but that were real because mating only applies in that form for shape-shifters. Whether Kai did or did not believe in their religion with the Gods and Goddesses of the Moon, it didn't stop that this attraction, this bond weaving to another to be like the soulmate. Rare it is that they do a mistake or they don't pair people up. There's the case when they break the mate bond willingly other than the result of the death of their mate, but sometimes, they needed to request the council of werewolves, a department of CreaGic to intervene to call upon the Gods and Goddesses to break the bond.

"OMG! I'm so excited for you, soon grandbabies and I cannot wait to meet her." Their mother said starting to clap.

"What's her name son?" their father asked as he draped the blanket on Kai.

"Delilah."

Kai stood next to Jamal and Dante where she heard the name and froze. She thought her legs would let her go crashing, but Iann already asked.

"Do you have any picture of her?"

Greg nodded excitedly and show the picture. Kai immediately recognized the face from anywhere, the girl didn't change at all after two years.

"And the Alpha saw her picture and was okay?" she asked in a small voice but her brother didn't seem to react at the lack of emotion from his sister's question.

"Yea, he was super excited for me!"

Kai felt sick hearing the news of the name of her brother, she did not feel side because her older brother had finally found a girl to tie down the knot. Okay, she did feel jealous to no longer be the only girl and sad that he just came back and was already announcing it. But that wasn't the worse of the news, she saw the picture of the girl all happy and joy and having no scars of what she did. That bitch was the mate of her older brother Greg, how sick were the Gods and Goddesses, they must be twisted when they decided that pairing. She saw the picture and felt lightheaded and ill inside of her.

Now, she had to excuse herself, shakily going to the second level - where they were all sleeping and went in her bathroom connected to her room. She was feeling overwhelmed and suddenly super sick. It happened many times when she was stressed or overwhelm which her parents and her older brothers were trying to make sure that it did not occur. As she threw up saliva, her lunch and acidic lift of the stomach in the toilet bowl.

She was stressing thinking about having to let them know, and they had to deal with the fact that the Alpha was allowing this to happen. That that bitch of Delilah was entering the territory as nothing happen. What happened through the thick skull of their alPHA, he really had a death wish to see them all dead.

"Sis," Oliver asked as he opened the door of the bathroom and seeing his sister throwing up.

He had seen her go pale and excused herself before hurrying upstairs. The signs were there, and he had followed her. He didn't mind that Greg had found his mate and he was happy, but he knew that Kai was fragile and was easily overwhelmed and with the school and the training session. Ever since they found her two years ago, she was not the same girl, there's was so much, she could take, she was not as carefree or strong. It could go rollercoaster in a snap, they parents and the medical team at the ShootingLight Pack had mentioned. Doctors had a fear that she would be in a vulnerable state and relapse from time to time. He soothed her back with his right hand and grabbed her hair with his left hand to hold them back while she threw up nothing but saliva and making retching noise.

"It's going to be okay, sis. It's okay I got you.. shhh.." He kept rubbing her back with his hand with a movement of up and down. Then, he halfway stood to grab an elastic band laying on the counter as always a million of there no place in the drawer and did a ponytail with her hair. Oliver took paper tissues and starting cleaning his sister's face and gave some so she could blow her nose. He grabbed a fresh facecloth and wet it with cold water. He went back in a sitting position, as he pushed his sister to lay on him so she was comfortable in a way that he could easily see what he was doing as he cleaned his sister's face. Oliver threw everything in the toilet and flushed everything. He washed his hands and Kai went next before retaking a sitting position waiting for Kai to calm down a bit more. He pulled his sister against him again so she can listen to his heartbeat and calmed down. He had to hold her firm because she was trembling and had a hard time to stay still.

On the other hand, Kia could not stop freaking out, she needed to call the others or at least let them know about this. She knew that the five boys had sneaked around the forest and must have been told by Jimmy or Mehdi about it. She hoped they were about to go to the HQ and learned about these people were sighted, she wondered if Delilah was on the list of the recent people being sighted. She must be because the Alpha of that Pack, Delilah tried to use as a refuge, had refused her and must have alert the authorities. This was a freaking nightmare. First, that evaluation on Saturday, that was not a coincidence, second, they found PI Ho's body and now Delilah, what could go worse than that?
