Kai was scrolling down on the phone an online story about romance, the cliché story of the independent nerd falling for the jock of the school. She liked to read to pass the time and scarcely fall in fantasy to escape the reality of her harsh world. She was skipping a practice of training, and she knew, she would receive an earful reprimand later, but the temptation to escape was too good.

Outside, a car was coming in the driveway of the house, parking; she looked up from her reading after looking at the time. None of the family members were supposed to arrive this early unless something happened to one of them, she glanced to the window that was giving her the driveway view and the other houses around the street. Her friend Marco was getting out of the car and pulled out his phone. Her phone buzzed letting her know, she received a text from someone, and that person was Marco.

Your coming? I'm outside?

Shit! The meeting, she had forgotten about it, there was obviously another reason why she couldn't go to the training session.

yeah coming' she texted back before throwing her phone on the side of her bed.

Kai grabbed her electronic stuff, a few clothes and other personal stuff as she didn't know when she would be back. She walked down the stairs as quickly as possible before making a quick tour around to make sure that everything was locked; doors, windows. She left a note on the fridge and walked to the main door of the house. She opened the door to pass through it and then closed it behind her and at the same time verifying that it was locked. The sun was glaring back to her reflecting on her long black hair, she sighed she had forgotten her sunglasses for the occasion, she was late for the meeting.

"Hey Marco, sorry for the wait."

" You forgot? Right? It's a good thing! I came early, let's go before someone sees us. You forgot your pair of sunglasses in the car, last time."

She nodded, gave a quick smile at the thought of putting her sunglasses Gucci and entered on the passager side of the car. Kai buckled her seatbelt and let Marco rolled the car out of the driveway in silence only the pop music of a playlist of Stingray giving a vibe.

The meeting was held in an abandoned hangar which used to be a storage for aircraft and stacking box of food and a shelter in case of emergency. With the technology and the aircrafts being regrouped at another location more useful for the Pack needs, it wasn't reused except for them for now. It was large enough to house everyone and have a stage set prior to the time of the meeting and a few vehicles hidden there around the site. People had been working since this morning to prepare everything. At their arrival, Kai could see the security that has tightened up and people with radio and deadly firearms waiting for them, semi-automatic rifle. The duo left the car to the security to inspect in case someone tried to record something from them. They were brought and searched from two of their friends and had to close their phones before entering the hangar. The hangar was nearly made of metal and nearly two hundred feet tall, one thousand and eighty long and three hundred wide.

She approached Matt while Marco went to speak to the other guys organizing this meeting to get an update of the situation. She put her sunglasses on the top of black hair and waved at Matt who greeted her with a hug as they met.

"Everyone was taking into account?" she asked Matt.

"Yeah, you two were the last ones. We are closing down and all the security is on since this morning," Matt responded, gesturing to a few members of the security for the meeting and waves to the stage," a lot of work we did and we received information that is being dispatched between us the elite before so we can look over and analyze its importance before distributing to the rest of the group. The guards are inside and outside and the perimeters are secured, and the entire place is bug-free. Any attempt of communication in or out are blocked and the security is on. Roughly fifty to a hundred of people only from MoonLightning Pack, we are determined later on who we can trust from the other Packs, I believe but Marco would get the official counting in a few seconds, I believe. The stage is up for you."

She nodded at Matt before making her way through the people to reach the stage. Marco went next to her giving her a paper with a few data and a few keynotes of the principal subjects to speak to the assembly. It was time no more turning back.

"Hey! Thanks for coming so I won't launch too much on the details of the past as you are here for that very own reason. We decided to do a meeting to rectify a few things and make sure everyone is on the same page. It will be probably our only meeting as we go forward with the plan. Thought if you have any questions at the end of the meeting or after this meeting feel free to ask. We are roughly fifty to one hundred werewolves in here. All from the same pack as you probably sniff out and familiarize yourself within the group. Everyone has been regulated and are trustable to have each other's back, we are between sixteen to twenty-two years old going with the actual data, I received on that paper and excluding me as I seem to be excluded in that count,"Kai said rechecking the list making sure she has not missed the data. She was not ready for a speech having to forget about the reunion.

Causing a few to laugh as Kai was indeed the youngest of the people attending the meeting at only fifteen years old. She was bold but putting all these facts seemed to reassurance each individual what kind of group they were.

"That being said as we all learned at school, werewolves produce more males than females, and therefore more males are in here than female, especially in this conservative Pack. From what I can see including me, we are six females. Okay enough with the number, we know we can't trust the Alpha and probably a lot more people within the Pack that may be corrupted by him. We have the government CreaGic on our side, but you know how official is, and with the deal the Alpha made, it slowed down the process. But we are hoping that a few attacks and mayhem will make things move. Indeed, we believe werewolves attacks will appear very soon. "

"Should we expect a war?" a male voice called out from the crowd on her left.

Kai could see a few nodded at her speech probably approving what she was saying or assimilating the information, either way, people were paying attention.

Kai glanced to the other guys around her on the stage unsure if it was the right move to inform them about all this. Someone cleared his voice.

All leaders are on the alert, but as the officials, CreaGic was never able to find them and put them into the justice system. Alpha Rowan did not want us to know the information and probably wanted to use that as leverage but we will work on it. We will be choosing people in the next weeks to have a different position in the group to be a messenger and helped coordinating everything if even one of us died. "Phil's voice came out. The Shooting Light, StarLight and MeteorLight Packs were more than happy to transmit information and kept them in the loop of everything.

Next, Kenden, Marco and Addryen were taking over the meeting and asking to those that wished to leave without giving their name to be on the list of those ready to leave on the go to line up on their left. They had to leave the place in small groups to avoid suspiciously and take different roads to go back home. Kai left the stage and was looking with Ralph and Jonathan, the information of these survivors.

"I hope it was a good thing to let them know about those crazy scientists and their personal workers."

"They are warned about it, and who they are, there's a decrease of chance that they will be influenced by Rowan to do otherwise. " He didn't deserve the title of Alpha, Ralph commented, more rational than a swearing Jonathan who looked about to explode "They will be able to recognize them and give the alert if they are on sight. "Yeah, I always believe his stupid contract with the gov. of CreaGic was bullshit to find a way to kill us before the trial," Jonathan muttered darkly, crossing his arms over his chest.

Kai responded by hugging him by the waist tentatively, Jonathan was the angriest of their group. He resented so much Alpha Rowan Woody and the Pack for being so blind, Kai wondered why he hasn't left the moment, he could, at eighteen years old, Jonathan had the liberty to leave the Pack and be in a place where it's safer and more peaceful. She knew deep inside of her; he was only staying because some of them were not yet eighteen years and there's no way, he was letting them behind him and abandoning them. They are family. Jonathan encircled his arms around her frame, she was five feet - four and won't go any higher, and with a height of six feet - four feet, Jonathan was holding her as much as he could. He nuzzled her hair trying to calm himself with her scent and waiting for his emotions to rebalance.

"We can trust this group, and with Addryen and Marco giving us a hand, we should be alright for the next weeks and be able to react to any issue." Matt declared behind them.

Members of the gathering were slowly listening to the orders and leaving the hangar. The six of them, Addryen, Marco and the guards around the hangar (the most trusted people that were already aware of everything from the meeting) were going to be the last people to leave.
