Sera watched the couple being lovey dovey from a distance. She tried to not to show her jealousy, walking away from there but she accidentally bumped into someone's chest.

"Tch, is your hobby tripping or bumping into a guy?" Junho looked down at him with a smirk on his face.

"Maybe,"

"Whatever you're planning to do, just give up Sera. You could never separate them. They love each other and will die for each other."

"Oh really? Say the one who almost ruined their relationship. Hey Sung Junho.. I know your secret. I know the reasons you did all of that. You think I don't know? Once I open my mouth and tell your friends the truth, it's the end for you"

"You think you can threaten me? Go on, tell them. I don't mind because I'm planning to tell them the truth soon. It will be easier if you do it for me" Junho tapped her shoulder before walking away, joining his friends.

Sera clenched her fist. She stomped her feet, leaving the place.

Jungwon and Riwon walked back to the house. When he opened the door, his mother was already there waiting for them with a smile. "How's school?" She asked sweetly.

"Tiring, I had the thought of skipping school but I remember Riwon is still in the school" Jungwon said jokingly and he laughed when she slapped his shoulder.

"Hey, I will knock your head if you try to do that. Studying should be your top priority."

"But you're my top priority since you're my future!"

"Oh my gosh, I feel so single" The mother gasped, hand over her mouth.

She looked away when she could feel her husband glaring at her. Then, they went to the kitchen to eat. Riwon thanked her for the food before proceeding to eat happily. But she could feel her eyes become teary and tears dripping on the table.

Jungwon panicked when he noticed that. He immediately placed down his bowl and chopsticks, turning his body at her. "Why are you crying, Riwon??"

His parents looked at her worriedly too.

"I-I missed m-my family.. I feel touched too because I never get this kind of treatment.. and meals at home.. Thank you, thank you—" Riwon was sobbing but she wouldn't let go of the food from her hand. She continued to eat while crying.

"Aw, dear. It's okay, please think of us as your family from now on" His mother caressed Riwon's hair, smiling softly just like how a mother should be looking at her daughter.

Riwon didn't know how to express her emotions right now. She never felt so loved. She wasn't used to getting this attention and soft stares. She tried to stop her cries but ended up hiccuping after that. Jungwon made sure she drank the water.

Jungwon sent Riwon to her room after the dinner. He sat down beside her on the bed before making her face him. Jungwon tucked her hair behind the ear, softly placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Don't keep everything to yourself, tell me. Don't bottle up the sadness, it's okay, let it out. Please don't feel guilty for crying in front of me, use me as you want. Come to me and hug me, cry on my shoulder, tell me everything. I will listen to you. Everything is going to be okay. Trust me" Jungwon wiped the tears that came out from her eyes.

"You're really the best boyfriend to ever exist, I will always choose you over anyone, sometimes I feel like you're too good for me"

"Don't think like that. We both are meant for each other, love"

After all the venting and crying, Riwon fell asleep in his embrace. Jungwon gently placed her on the bed and put the pillow under her head. He covered her up with a blanket to make sure she's warm.

The teenagers continued the school day normally just like Riwon and Jungwon. It's been a week since she ran away from home and somehow she didn't regret it. But she also thinks she shouldn't stay at her boyfriend's house for too long even though they didn't mind her staying there. At the end of the day, she will go back to where she belongs.

Her sister and mother had called her a few times but she blocked them. If they're calling just to scold, shout and be mad at her then it's useless. Other than problems with her family, now she's facing another problem too. Mid-year test and Hwang Sera.

But of course she wouldn't focus too much on her. It's a waste of time. Since she's the top student, she's busy helping others too. Riwon kept saying sorry to her boyfriend because they couldn't spend more time together because after school, she would always spend time at the library to study more materials.

Jungwon wasn't upset but proud of his girlfriend. He admired how hard working Riwon is and because of that, he wanted to do the best in the test too. He should make her proud because his girlfriend is the top student.

If before this he always spent time with Junho and Sunghoon playing video games, this time he would be studying.

"Ow! Uh.." Jungwon pouted while rubbing his head. He looked down when his girlfriend glared at him.

"Be serious, Jungwon. This isn't the time to be lovey dovey. Do that later" Riwon said in a serious tone. She didn't even smile a bit.

Riwon barely studied around Jungwon so he didn't know how serious she could get when studying. She's scary. Behind the cute Riwon, she's actually so scary. One mistake in mathematics, then his ears are going to bleed listening to her babbling.

"Alright.." He feels dumb studying with the top student aka his girlfriend.

"Tell me if there's something you can't understand," Riwon said.

"Uh okay then, how to find the roots of the given quadratic equation?"

"Seriously, Jungwon? We're supposed to skill this question last year why are you—"

"You said just ask if I don't understand, please don't scold me.." Jungwon nearly cried. He hates mathematics so much and now his girlfriend is tutoring him like a mad lecturer.

Riwon sighed, "I'm sorry. Okay, you're supposed to look at the graph. As you can see, there's two roots. -0.3 and 2."

"Why are only these two numbers the roots?"

"Because the lines hit the graph. Understand?"

"Yes!"

"Good job, here are small rewards for you" Riwon pecked his cheek. "I will give you another one if you can solve the questions."

Just like that, Jungwon immediately grabbed his calculator and book before solving the question. The reward definitely gave him some motivation.

Suddenly Sera appeared in front of them with books. "Can I sit here and study with you guys?"

"No" Riwon replied and just ignored her. She leaned closer to teach Jungwon.

Jungwon just looked at the girl, she looked sad and disappointed. But he didn't dare to say anything.

"Why not? Aren't we friends?"

"Maya is my best friend and why is she not here? Because she understood that I want to study alone with Jungwon. I'm not available for tutoring another person right now"

"Why are you suddenly being cold to me? What did I do to you!"

"Hey, this is a library. Keep your voice low." Riwon got up from the chair and stood in front of Sera. "If I'm being cold or not, it doesn't matter."

"You know if people find out this is how you treat your friend, they're going to hate you. I thought you're nice, that's why I became friends with you but you're just like others." Sera said, which made Riwon giggled.

"And if people find out how thirsty you are over someone's boyfriend.. What will they think of you? Lose one friend doesn't affect my results."

Sera scoffed. She bumped into Riwon's shoulder, walking away from there. Riwon sat back before continuing like nothing happened.

"What—"

"Shut up and do your maths"

"Alright, ma'am"

Riwon and Jungwon went to the convenience store after studying at the library. It's already late at night and they haven't eaten anything yet. They ate outside the convenience store at the available seats.

"I'm going to buy some water" Riwon said to him and he nodded.

Jungwon watched his girlfriend go back inside and he slurped the ramen hungrily. He never studied this hard. He's surprised he's still alive after 4 hours of torture. No wonder Rhwon is smart. She deserves being the top student seeing how hard she studied. That just made Jungwon love her more. She's his inspiration.

While eating, he heard footsteps and it stopped right in front of him. He looked up and was startled to see Sera but she looked like a mess with messy hair and red eyes. What happened to her?

What's more shocking is when she suddenly hugged him, crying on his shoulder.

"What are you doing?! Let me go!" Jungwon tried to get up from the chair but it's hard.

Sera cried loudly on his shoulder. "It hurts Jungwon! It hurts!"

"What— is it related to your disease—"

"Hwang Sera! Enough!" Riwon grabbed her collar before pushing her harshly till she fell on the ground.

Riwon looked at her boyfriend before looking back at her. "Are you crazy? He's my boyfriend!"

"I.. I.." Sera couldn't even finish her sentences before she fainted on the ground.

Both Riwon and Jungwon were shocked when she didn't move a bit. Some people who walked past there stopped to see what happened. Riwon didn't know what to do. Why is she suddenly fainting? Did she push her that hard?

"Sera! Sera! Wake up!" Jungwon immediately helped her with the help of the strangers too.

Riwon didn't know why but seeing him helping her broke her heart. He called the ambulance before it took her away.

"I already called Heeseung. He's going to take care of her."

"Why did you help her.."

"Huh? Well, someone just fainted in front of us, of course I should help her" Jungwon answered back but somehow Riwon didn't feel satisfied with the answer.

"What's with the look on your face? You looked panicked. Why are you being nice to her? Why did you look friendly with her? What kind of relationship do you have with Hwang Sera?"

"Wait Riwon— why are you suddenly being like this.." Jungwon tried to hold her hand but she yanked it away.

"Tell me"

"Huh.. fine. Sera had leukaemia and she's also my childhood friend. Even though she's my childhood friend, it doesn't mean I have a special place for her in my heart." Jungwon told the truth.

"The friend.. the girl you used to admire back then?"

"Why do you need to mention that? It doesn't matter. Riwon.. please don't think of something else, something that might ruin our relationship. Please believe me. I only helped her because that's my reflexes as a human towards a human who needs help. Of course we should help, or do you want to see and let people die in front of you?"

Riwon had nothing to say. She grabbed her bag and walked away, leaving Jungwon behind. Jungwon quickly chased her.

"Riwon, please don't do this. Forgive me if I hurt your feelings by my actions" Jungwon said.

They entered the house but no one was at home because Jungwon's parents had a business trip for 3 days. Jungwon closed the door behind and still followed Riwon. She stopped in front of the stairs and Jungwon stopped too.

Riwon turned around, pulling off her tie before grabbing Jungwon's jaw and smashed her lips on him. Jungwon was shocked by the sudden kiss but he didn't hesitate to kiss her back, throwing away his bag on the floor. He took off his blazer while deepening the kiss.

Riwon's back hit the wall. She wrapped her arms around his neck before going down, sniffing his scent. She pulled him, closing any gap. His body was against her, and she stayed like that for a few minutes.

"I hate it. I hate seeing her touching my man. I don't want her scent to be on you. The only scent which should be on you is mine. The only one who could touch you like this is me. You belong to me, you're mine." Riwon said over his chest.

"Are you jealous, love?" Jungwon asked, arm around her waist.

"I am, Jungwon. Yes I'm jealous. I'm mad. I shouldn't let my guard down after this"

"You know.. I love seeing this side of you. But you don't need to worry. You shouldn't feel jealous. They're the ones who should be jealous of us. Don't worry about me with girls because this heart is given to you. Only you." Jungwon placed her hand on his chest, looking down at her.

"If I was in a room full of pretty girls, would you still choose me?"

"I will definitely forget the other girls are exist because there's only one pretty girl and it's you"

"You're so funny" She let out a small laugh.
