Included below are my headcanons for this character. Most of these are just random ideas I have had while thinking about his character, some are available already on my original account in the book The Bat's Birds.

Anyhow, let's plunge into my exclusive Richard Grayson headcanons.

Headcanon#1: Secret Language

I'm quite certain that Tim and Richard had a secret language which only the two of them could understand. They had a fixed pattern of gestures they used on a regular basis to communicate all sorts of stuff among themselves without letting the others find out.

It was almost like every time the two would be together, they would be silently having a long chat. Abrupt bursts of laughter and shocked gasps were quite normal in their presence even though they were technically not even speaking.

Jason: "Can you please stop with the eye thing now?"

Richard: "What eye thing?"

Damian: "No seriously, it's putting me off too. Just stop."

Tim burst into laughter while a satisfied smirk danced on Richard's face as if he had just told him a hilarious joke.

Jason: "This... Exactly this behavior of yours is extremely annoying. Like I've lost count of how many times you've wiggled your eyebrows and I swear every time Tim blinks, he conveys some sort of hidden message to you. It's annoying and I swear I'll find out what you two are up to."

Tim: "Well, I'm supposed to be the detective so... That claim doesn't quite fit you."

Damian (giving them an intense glare): "Well, I'm the son of Batman and I swear me and Jason will figure you both out together. Now this claim fits perfectly, right Drake?"

Tim (controlling a sudden urge to laugh as Richard was again making a joke out of the whole situation): "Yeah, suuuurrrreeee."

Headcanon#2: Starving to Death

Won't starve but will make a huge fuss of it before going in the kitchen to cook.

Headcanon#3: Punctuality

Being the eldest, Richard felt it as a responsibility to be on time so as not to set a bad example for others.

Headcanon#4: Commonly Used Insult

"You, sir, are an oxygen thief!

Headcanon#5: Things He Forgets About

The time. He keeps a watch with him but still forgets the time and also forgets mostly that he is wearing a wristwatch. And when he forgets to wear it, the situation is worse because he would be staring at his empty wrist every now and then, trying to recall who stole his watch.

Headcanon#6: Free Hug Kid

Richard Grayson was not only known as Robin by the Batfam and later Nightwing, he was also known as the Free Hug Kid.

Richard: "Bruce... Can I hug you?"

Bruce: "No, I'm busy right now."

(Hugs him anyway)

Bruce (slightly alarmed at the sudden rush of affection but hugs him back): "Didn't you hear me say no?"

Richard: "Hugs are good for health, and I want you to be perfectly healthy so all the villains can get the treats they deserve."

Alfred: "Master Dick, your soup is..."

(Gets cut short because he has been engulfed in a giant hug).

Richard (smiling widely): "Thank you so much, Alfie. You're the best person I've ever met."

Jason (glaring threateningly): "Stay away from me, I'm warning you."

Richard: "Aw come on, don't be such a brat. Everyone needs a hug, I'm only giving these for free."

Damian: "Grayson, unhand me at once!"

Richard: "Aw, Dami, you're so cute when you get angry."

Damian (glaring at him while trying to break free from his hold): "Don't you dare call me by that awful excuse of a name."

Richard: "Okay. What about Dim Dams then?"

Damian: "I swear if you continue anymore, you'll get killed by my hands."

Tim was the only one who had no objection to Dick's ever persistent hugs. In fact, he found it quite comforting. Whenever he would be feeling a little down, which happened often, he didn't even have to wait to get better because Dick was always there with the free hugs.

Richard (engulfing him in a warm brotherly embrace): "Come on, kiddo. I know you need hugs as much as you need coffee."

Tim (smiling in relief): "Thank you."

Headcanon#7: Hogwarts House

Richard is no doubt a Hufflepuff. The way he takes care of the family, is a bubble personality and makes sure to be there for them is a very Hufflepuff trait.

Headcanon#8: Element

Richard is a water element. Just like the water, he is fluid, tranquil usually but can cause a storm when provoked. He is articulate, introspective, self-contained and self-sufficient.

Headcanon#9: Favorite Drink

Warm milk with honey. Calls it a happy drink.

Headcanon#10: Disney Character

Looks wise, I could say Prince Eric from A Little Mermaid.

Headcanon#11: If He Could Be An Edible...

"If I could be a food I'd be a pizza, because I'm so cheesy."

Headcanon#12: Idiosycrasy

Well that's much more of a habit for him but yeah, here goes. Being the hero. Sacrificing for others and other noble heroic stuff.

Headcanon#13: Egghead

Richard calls Jason an egg and sometimes even an Egghead.

"Oi you egg!"

"Get your ass down here, Egghead."

"Frankly speaking, your hair look like eggplant every time you take the hood off."

"Red Hood? Nah... Shouldn't you be called Egg Hood? That does more justice to your personality."

Whenever Jason gets roasted by anyone in the family, instead of saying Burn like he does with the others, his statement is: "Oh, egg got fried!"
