1 Year Later

"Shoot!" I shouted as soon as my foot slipped because of the sand. I thought that I would fall miserably but someone have already caught me before I could even fall from my doom.

I smiled knowingly at Gabriel as he smirked down at me.

"Thanks, Gab." I mumbled, feeling embarrassed.

He laughed quietly and kissed my forehead, making my guts do weird things.

He was pulling my heartstrings and he knows that.

"You know that I wouldn't let you fall." He said, pulling me to stand up.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, ignoring my pounding beating heart and the heat that was rushing through my cheeks as I look at Gabriel.

How did I deserve a man like him? He's perfect in every way you look at him. He's good at everything and everyone likes him.

He's the opposite of me. That's for sure.

But as he look at me, as I see his eyes fill up with those familiar fondness that I've come to love, I just knew from deep within me that he doesn't care if we were the opposite. He doesn't care if I was different from him.

And I love him for that.

"Oh really?" I smiled, crossing my arms. "How'd you know that?"

"Oh, cookie." His features softened and he brought his hand to caress her cheek. I leaned against his touch as I look at him with the same fond look that he has always given me.

"My sweet little tough cookie. You already fell for me and I swear, I swear till the moment we grow old, that I will never let you fall for anything or anybody else but me."

I could feel myself blushing as I stare at him in surprise. "So you're telling me that you're sure that we'll still be together until we grow old and die?"

Gabriel chuckled, leaning forward to kiss my forehead lovingly, snaking his hands around my waist and pulling me closer to him.

He nodded, placing his forehead against mine.

"I'll be right here." He simply whispered. His breath fanning my skin as I look into those eyes of his. Those eyes that he uses to stare at me. To show me that he loves me for me.

"Yeah?"

But still, I'm afraid that he'll leave me. I'm afraid that maybe, one day, he'll run out of love and find someone who's better than me. Someone who doesn't have anxiety or  some insomnia, maybe he'll find someone who's not afraid of abandonment and pain.

This is Gabriel we're talking about.

He's so much better than going out with me. He's got a better chance of having a normal partner.

"Don't give me that look." Gabriel said firmly making me look at him in confusion.

"What do you mean look?"

"You are enough." Gabriel said, both of his hands went towards hers, grabbing it firmly.

I felt myself frowning when he said that. I looked down and bit my lip. "You... You are enough... "

"Hey, look at me, cookie." He softly said, grabbing my chin to make me look at him.

"You are enough, okay? For me, you are more than just enough, Sam." Gabriel said firmly, looking deep into my soul as I search for any lies. For some kind of lie in his eyes. "Do you hear me?"

"But Gab—"

"But nothing, love." He said. Gabriel smiled softly at her. "I love you so much, Sam. Isn't that more than your average enough?"

I sniffled, trying not to let my tears fall down like a stupid idiot and just gave him a watery laugh instead.

"I didn't know that the Gabriel, playboy and joker, would be this cheesy... " I said, trying not to let my tears fall as I try not to look down to the ground again.

"That Gabriel fell for you." He laughed, as he look at me intensely. As he look at me that's filled with nothing but love and fondness. The same way he would always be giving me like he thinks that I'm not looking. 

"That Gabriel chose you. That Gabriel is  talking to the most precious and toughest cookie in the whole world, someone who've been standing strong by herself, healing herself when nobody could do it for her. So no, don't tell me that you aren't enough because you've already been more than that. And I am honored to be in that brave person's life."

I huffed out a breath. "If you say things like that, you'll make me cry."

He leaned down to peck her lips. "I'll always be here to wipe your tears, my love."

My heart couldn't take all the cheesiness and I just laughed and immediately hug him as he did the same, hugging me tightly.

This...

This was perfect.

"I'm honored to be by your side too... " I whispered, enjoying the warmth of his body. I enjoy this life. I enjoy the happiness because I am embracing it.

"Well you should be because I'm not letting you go anytime soon." Gabriel joked, making me laugh softly. Then as we both let go of our embrace, I just look at the man in front of me and told myself that we'll be okay.

"Oh, so now you're joking?" I raised a brow, crossing my arms above my chest. "Aren't we supposed to be all sappy?"

He groaned childishly, pouting. "I don't do sappy. I can be romantic but not sappy."

"Really?" I teased. "Because you're getting better at being sappy."

"Oh, c'mon." He laughed, shaking his head in denial. "Then I'm going nuts now. I'm being crazy."

"Crazily in love?" I hummed teasingly making him cross his arms and raise a brow. "I love you even if you're getting crazy."

He nodded, looking at me seriously but I could see the amusement in his eyes.

"Yeah, that's right beautiful. I've been in love with someone who drove me crazy." He said, sighing dramatically.

"Oh, poor you handsome." I played. "That girl must've been crazy too to infect you with that."

"She needs to do something." He said, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "I do wonder what though."

"What do you suggest then?"

Gabriel then leaned forward, placing a quick soft peck on my lips. It was quick but I felt those soft, hot lips touch mine and as my eyes widened, he just smirked at me.

"Maybe that will cure me?"

I laughed at how unbelievably silly he was. Yeah, okay, I was silly too, but what do you expect?

He's cute.

"You are one crazy man." I said after a while.

He rolled his eyes but the smile on his face stayed.

"But I guess I am too."

I leaned towards Gabriel and his eyes widened when I gave him back his kiss. It wasn't a peck, it was a kiss and I enjoy the warmth of it.

"Dang!"

I heard someone shout. Gabriel and I immediately look around and saw a panting Leo and a calm Hayley who's looking at them knowingly.

"I... You get to kiss her on this damn beautiful scenery and I'm here, single, like a bitch!" He panted as he place his hands on his knees. "You two are bitches."

"No need to be bitter about it." Hayley snorted.

"I have every right to be bitter!"

"But Leo—"

Leo glared at me, making me close my mouth really fast.

"Not another word from you, Stones."

"I love you, Leo." Gabriel said, giving him a dashing smile. A smile that he puts for the ladies.

Leo didn't buy it though. Instead, it made him more mad.

"Boy, I'll cut off your balls if you ever say that to me again." He then cringed as he look at Gabriel from head to toe. "Mhmm, you're not my type."

Hayley crossed her arms and gave Leo a 'Are-you-sure-about-that?' look. "You seem to like him before."

"Hush!" Leo said, moving his glare to Hayley. "That was before he was sappy. Now, he's mushy like jelly because he melted with the power of love."

Hayley laughed. "You're being dramatic."

"Whatever!" Leo shouted. "I'm saying that Mr. Handsome here don't blend well with mushy-wushy, sappy crap, okay?"

"See? Leo agrees with me!"

Hayley raised a brow at Gabriel. "With what?"

"With me being a sappy crap." Gabriel groaned, looking at Hayley. "It's not hot."

"I think you're hot." I said cheekily causing him to give me a look with a smirk.

Leo gagged. "Please, save your sappiness and get a damn room. You two will make me puke."

"Sappiness is happiness, bae." I pouted. "Aren't you happy?"

"Yeah." Hayley turned to look at Leo with the same pout on her lips. "Aren't you happy?"

"Happy to be single? Hell naw, but happy to have your sappy craps? Double no, girls. I don't do well with craps. I vomit craps like mushy-wushy."

Gabriel snorted and nodded, agreeing with Leo while the other two laughed at Leo's mood.
