The Fellowship Reunited
The scene begins with Liv still lying back, unconscious, her eyes closed. The room is quiet, save for the soft cries of Gabby. David, who is sitting beside her, gently rocks the baby in his arms. "Shh, sweetie. Mommy will be awake soon," he murmurs softly to the little girl, trying to calm her down.
Slowly, Liv's eyes flutter open, her vision blurry for a moment. "What happened?" she murmurs, her voice weak but steady.
David breathes a sigh of relief, his expression softening as he looks at her. "Babe, thank God you're awake. You passed out after you used Lightning Style to save Aragorn," he says, his voice thick with concern.
As if on cue, Gabby begins to fuss and cry. Liv instinctively reaches out, her maternal instincts taking over. "Give her to me, she's probably hungry," Liv says softly, taking Gabby from David's arms. She cradles her daughter gently, whispering to her, "I'm so sorry, sweetie," as she begins to soothe her.
Just then, a familiar voice echoes from the doorway. "Glad to see you awake," says Legolas, standing tall in the threshold, his usual calm demeanor softened by a hint of concern in his eyes.
Liv turns her head, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Please don't tell Mom about this," she says, her voice almost a whisper as she looks back at David for reassurance.
Legolas gives a small nod, his face serious but understanding. "I won't," he replies.
Liv takes a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "How long was I out for?" she asks, her gaze flicking back to David.
"A few days," David answers. "You're lucky Tsunade was able to save you when she did."
The tension in the room is broken by the sound of running footsteps, and a small figure bursts into the room. "Mommy!" Lily exclaims, her voice full of worry.
Liv smiles warmly at her daughter. "Hey, Lily," she says, holding out a hand to her. "I thought something happened to you," Lily says, her voice trembling with fear.
Liv laughs softly. "Didn't you really think your father and uncle would let anything happen to me?" she asks, her tone playful.
"No," Lily replies with a relieved smile, her worry melting away.
The door opens once more, and Saya rushes into the room, her expression one of pure relief. "Liv! Thank God you're okay!" she exclaims, pulling Liv into a tight hug.
"You nearly gave us all a heart attack, cousin," Saya adds, her voice full of emotion.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to worry anyone," Liv says, returning the embrace with a soft laugh.
The door opens again, and Merry and Pippin burst through, grinning. "Liv! You're awake!" they cry in unison, running toward her and enveloping her in a group hug. Liv laughs, feeling the warmth of their friendship surround her.
"How's Frodo?" Liv asks, pulling away slightly to look at Legolas. Her eyes flicker with concern.
"He's still unconscious," Legolas replies, his expression softening at the mention of their friend.
"You really gave us a scare," Aragorn's voice comes from the doorway, his words full of affection and worry.
"Well, at least she saved you from being killed," Gimli chimes in from behind Aragorn, a teasing grin on his face.
"Very funny," Aragorn mutters, rolling his eyes, but there's no mistaking the relief in his voice.
Liv smirks, the memory of the battle fresh in her mind. "Liv, didn't you say something about me killing your ex during the battle?" Legolas asks, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"Yeah, please do, I'm sick of that jerk," Liv responds, her tone playful yet serious.
"Mommy said a bad word!" Lily suddenly pipes up from Liv's side, her wide eyes full of innocence.
The scene shifts, and the focus moves to Frodo, who lies unconscious in a soft bed. The morning sunlight streams through the window, and birds are chirping softly outside. Slowly, Frodo stirs, his eyes blinking open as he takes in his surroundings. He sits up, confused, and then spots Gandalf sitting at the bottom of his bed, watching him with a twinkle in his eye.
"Gandalf?" Frodo says, his voice raspy with sleep.
Gandalf smiles warmly, his eyes twinkling with mirth. He chuckles softly, clearly delighted to see Frodo awake. "Ah, Frodo, you're back with us," he says, his voice full of warmth.
Merry and Pippin burst into the room, grinning widely. "Frodo!" they shout in unison, rushing to his side and leaping onto the bed with uncontainable joy.
Gandalf chuckles, watching the three of them laughing and hugging each other, the bonds of their friendship unshaken by the trials they've faced.
Gimli enters the room, a broad smile on his face as he walks up to Frodo's bedside. "Frodo," he says, his voice rich with affection.
Legolas follows behind, his face soft with relief as he looks at Frodo. "It's good to see you awake, my friend," he says, his usual calm voice carrying a warmth that speaks volumes.
Aragorn enters the room last, a quiet smile on his face. "Frodo, you've made it through," he says, his voice full of admiration.
The door creaks open again, and Liv steps into the room, her face lighting up as she sees Frodo awake. "Liv, you're here! I thought I would never see you again," Frodo says, his voice filled with emotion as he looks at her.
Liv smiles brightly, walking over to him and pulling him into a tight hug. "Of course, someone had to keep you out of trouble," she says with a chuckle.
"If you ever pull a stunt like that again, you'll never hear the end of it," she adds, her tone both affectionate and slightly scolding.
Legolas, still standing by the door, raises an eyebrow. "Liv, are you sure you should be out of bed?" he asks, concern lacing his voice.
Liv waves off his worry. "You can't keep a good ninja down," she replies with a grin.
"I'm just looking out for you," Legolas says, his voice soft with brotherly affection.
"That's David's job now," Liv says, a teasing smile crossing her face as she glances at David, who has quietly entered the room behind her.
"Well, I'm still your brother," Legolas says with a small smile, his tone warm but playful.
Frodo looks at them, his eyes wide with surprise. "Wait... Liv and Legolas are siblings?" he asks, unable to hide his shock.
Liv laughs softly, nodding. "It's a long story, but yes. When the fellowship broke up all those years ago, Aragorn and Gimli continued the journey, while me and Legolas... well, we went our separate ways. My parents ended up taking him in," she explains.
Just then, Sam steps hesitantly into the room. He looks at Frodo with wariness in his eyes, but when their gazes meet, Frodo's face lights up with a smile. Sam's stern expression softens, and he smiles back at Frodo.
"Liv, will you and David stay?" Aragorn asks, his voice hopeful but understanding.
Liv looks at David, a sad smile on her face. "I wish we could, but we're needed in the Hidden Leaf Village as soon as possible," she replies, her voice heavy with the weight of their responsibilities.
Frodo looks at her with a somber expression. "I understand," he says, his voice filled with gratitude. "Just promise me one thing..."
"What's that?" Liv asks, looking at him curiously.
"Stay safe," Frodo says, his voice sincere and full of concern.
"I promise," Liv says softly, her eyes meeting his with a warmth that shows just how much she cares for their friendship.
