Sauron Defeated or So They Thought

The Eye of Sauron flared suddenly, its fiery gaze darting wildly in all directions as though seeking something it could no longer find. It twisted, frantic, searching for the source of its power, which was slipping from its grasp. The Cave Troll, amidst the chaos, stopped in its tracks. It turned toward the Eye, confusion flickering in its beastly eyes. As realization struck, the Troll took one last look at the Eye, its mind registering the sudden freedom. In an instinctive act of fear, the Cave Troll ran, abandoning its post without a second thought.

Gandalf, standing firm and resolute despite the shaking earth beneath his feet, turned his gaze toward the Eye. His eyes narrowed, and the terrible screeching sound that emanated from the Eye echoed through the air—a cry of rage and despair, sharp and full of pain. The very ground seemed to groan in protest, and the massive tower of Barad-dûr, the dark citadel at the heart of Sauron's power, began to tremble. The once-immovable structure cracked and shifted. With a groan that reverberated across the land, the tower began its slow, devastating collapse.

Gandalf's eyes filled with tears as he watched the tower fall to the earth in a massive cascade of stone and rubble. His voice was barely a whisper, thick with emotion. "It's over."

The Eye flared one final time, its light burning brighter, and with an ear-splitting explosion, it unleashed a shockwave of dark power. The very air seemed to ripple with the force of it, sending a blast of energy outward. The earth trembled beneath them all, and the shockwave swept across the battlefield with terrifying force.

Merry, his heart filled with a mixture of dread and hope, whispered the name of his dear friend, "Frodo..."

"No," Liv said quickly, her voice filled with both dread and defiance. She shook her head, refusing to accept the possibility. She turned her eyes to the chaos unfolding before them. The Black Gate, once a towering symbol of Sauron's strength, began to crumble. The massive doors shattered, and the Orcs—those that had fought so desperately—tried to escape, but the ground beneath them gave way. The earth cracked open, and from the chasm emerged the Autobots, towering mechanical giants that had joined the battle. Their massive feet crashed onto the earth, and with relentless precision, they crushed the remaining Orcs beneath them, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake. The battlefield, once filled with the noise of battle, fell eerily silent in the wake of the destruction.

In the distance, Mount Doom erupted in a cataclysmic explosion. Lava and ash spewed from its depths, and the skies above darkened with the smoke and fire. The land trembled with the final, fiery release of Sauron's hold on Middle-earth.

Merry stood, eyes wide, staring at the eruption, his breath caught in his throat. "It... it's really over," he murmured, the weight of the moment settling on him.

Gandalf stood with his head bowed, tears streaming down his face as he gazed at the destruction. It was done. The Dark Lord had fallen, but the price had been high. His shoulders shook with quiet grief, even as the world around him celebrated the end of an age.

Beside him, Pippin wiped away his tears, his face pale with emotion. "Frodo," he whispered, his voice thick with sorrow. "Frodo... please be safe."

Liv, drained by the battle and the immense strain of using her chakra to fight, collapsed suddenly to the ground. Her knees buckled beneath her, and she fell into David's arms. Her body went limp, her breathing shallow, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop.

"Liv!" Legolas and David cried out in unison, their voices filled with panic. They rushed to her side, fear gripping them both.

David was the first to kneel beside her, gently lifting her into his arms. "Come on, babe, snap out of it," he said urgently, his voice full of desperation. "The kids need you. Lady Tsunade... we need you."

Within moments, Tsunade appeared at their side, her expression serious as she assessed the situation. "I warned her not to use up her chakra so recklessly," Tsunade said, her voice calm but laced with concern. She placed her hands over Liv's chest, channeling her medical ninjutsu, the chakra flowing from her fingertips. "That last lightning jutsu—she pushed herself too far. It's taken a toll."

"Does she know what she's doing?" Legolas asked, his voice tight with worry as he watched Tsunade work. His gaze never left his sister, his heart pounding in his chest.

David looked to Legolas, trying to reassure him. "Legolas, relax. Tsunade is the most skilled medic in the Hidden Leaf. Liv will be fine, I hope," he said, his voice a mix of hope and concern as he looked down at Liv's unconscious form. "She's been through so much already."

Legolas' jaw tightened, his fists clenched as he stood back, his eyes filled with anguish. "She's my sister. If anything happens to her, I'll never forgive myself."

Tsunade's face softened slightly, but her focus remained sharp as she worked. "She's still unconscious, but she's stable for now. David, get her out of here," Tsunade said, her voice firm but gentle. "She needs rest, and soon. Her body needs time to recover."

David nodded, his resolve hardening. "I'm getting her out of here," he said firmly, gently lifting Liv in his arms. "Don't worry, Legolas. She'll be okay."

Legolas stood still, his heart heavy with worry, but there was a flicker of hope in his eyes. He trusted Tsunade, and he trusted David. For now, that was all he could hold onto. He watched as David carried Liv away, his thoughts consumed with both the victory of the moment and the weight of the loss and sacrifice that had led them here. Sauron was no more, but the battle had left its scars on them all.
