At indicates a time of day

Adult students usually go to school at night

Most Americans eat lunch at noon

My first class begins at eight o'clock

In indicates a part of the day, month, year, or season

I like to get up early in the morning

I enjoy eating out in the evening

Final exams take place in June

My little sister was born in 1990

We get a week off from school in the spring

On indicates a day

In the United States there is usually no school on weekends

My sister was born on October 5, 1990 

On the evening of October 5, 1990, my sister was born

By indicates up to but no later than a point in time

I usually get up by 6:30, sometimes earlier but never later

They always try to arrive home by noon

During indicates an amount of time (followed by a noun phrase)

Until indicates time up to a point, but not limited to that point in time
