Groggy from the looming morphine, Trevor blinked rapidly as he was woken abruptly.

"Knock! Knock!" A female voice called out while knocking on Trevor's hospital room door.

Clearing his throat, Trevor invited her in, "Uh... Come in."

The door slowly creaked open as a young lady entered the room. Trevor, speechless by her beauty analyzed every inch of her. She emulated confidence as her French braided blonde hair framed her lightly freckled face. As she approached Trevor's hospital bed, he became mesmerized by her gorgeous green eyes.

"Hi." The female grinned from ear to ear. "I am with a volunteer group that spends time with patients who don't have any family members present after surgery." Trevor, not knowing what to say, but not wanting her to leave smiled through his blushing cheeks. "Uh, I can leave if you want me to..." she hesitantly offered.

Stuttering around his words, he managed to say, "No, no. That's alright. I don't mind having some company. Have a seat." He patted his hand on the empty gap beside his bed, "My name is Trevor."

Blushing at the offer, the female took a seat in a chair by the hospital bed. "Hi, Trevor. My name is Katie."
