Ashu

I walk out the King's room in order to search for some clues about this girl named 'Meenalakshmi'.  As i was walking to the royal dining table since i am insanely hungry. Someone aprroach me with a pleasant smile. That smile is like how you give to someone who you are super comfortable with. I am feeling super awkward cause i don't know where this hottie come from!

"How have you been?'" he question with still a smile on the corner of his lips. I just give him a blank look and he raise his eyebrows.

"Do i know you?"i raise my eyebrows too and he sarcastically laugh which meaning 'you must be kidding me'. I just scan him and do an act as if i am trying hard to remember him.

" Annaya!" (Brother) that guy in front of me curve a big grin to someone who is walking towards us. I turn and see who the important person is. I gulp. It's the King!

"Maghadeera!" yell the King happily and begin to embrace his brother with a big hug. He walk to the royal dining table with his brother leaving me dumbfounded here.

"I don't give a damn"i say sticking my tongue out and walk to the royal dining table and stand behind the King to make sure he is all fine. Well the King is under my custody and it is my job to keep him great and safe.

"Brother you know Meena- ma don't recognize me anymore!" That guy name Maghadeera say while munching the cookies. I bite my underlips. He really tells his brother? For God sake i am dead!

"Oh?"the King turn his head and look at me. I give him a clueless smile and Maghadeera bursts into laughter. Like what so funny?

"Do you realise that you just smile?" the King question and i widened my eye balls.

"Why is it a crime? To smile?" i make asking tone since i am quite worried.

"No, it's just..  It have been years since we all see your grin. Since our very own court lady Miss Malikha ...." say the King dragging slowly and i walk a little bit in front to see his face expression and who is this 'Malikha?'

"I am really sorry for your lost." Oh then i come to know that the court lady he was mentioning is dead.

"Ya RIP" i say and the King raise his both eyebrows which is damn cute. I didin't show it on my face but my heart is racing.

"I mean Rest In Peace.." i say in a much clearer way and the King nod with a sad look.

"It must have been hard for you since it's your mother.  But seeing you all happy really makes me happy and sister you are truly inspiring!" say Maghadeera then i gasp. I shock wickened. My veins are stuttering and i feel like a gun shot goes in my heart. That Malikha is my mother? I mean Meenalakshmi's mother? God i pity this person so much. I just make a sad expression and say "Life have to go on Your Highness". I  give  a sweet smile and Maghadeera smile back happily and continue eating. The King stands up and carassed his brother hair and walk away and i am supposed to follow him.  But i am still standing there like a statue and Maghadeera gives me a weird look.

"Can i have this?" i point at the cookies and he laugh and grab one from the plate and stuffs it into my mouth. My eyes widened and finally i start munching and bow with respectations. I love when they treat commoner like a royal person too. It feels like a family!

I run to the King as he was walking to the carriage. I let him sit and start to ride the white horse. His very own horse. He sit on the carriage and look at the entire town who is busy with their works.

"Stop here" he say as we arrive at a  market. He steps down and take a box under his seat cushion. He opens the box and i see a lot of chocolates. He called up the kids who are playing and gives them some.

"Long life! Long life! Long life! King Vijayarama!" say those kids uniting. Okay so his name is Vijayarama? Or should i say Vijay. Stop drooling Ashu! Focus!Focus!

"Kids! Come here!" yell a female voice glaring at the King with a death look. She move forward and the King look at her with a smile.

"I know what for man like you come here! You want to drag these innocent kids as your slave right? That will never happen as i'm alive!" yell the girl to the King and the King shocked and look at that girl with a unbelievable glance.

"Now leave! Leave!" the girl yell while hugging the kids.

"Lady, hmm i think you got me wrong.  I am actually.." before the King could explain himself someone from far approach by calling his name "Future King Vijayarama!".The man bow of respectations. The girl who have been sounding from just now stuttered and gulp.

"K..in..g?.."she ask with a widened eyes. The man push her head forward for her to bow for respect.

"Devasena, you were not here since kid so this is Prince Vijayarama and soon to be our  King tomorrow! We will be having big big festival to embrace and appreciate him!" say the man and the King smile cutely and place his hand on his chest and bow a bit.

"You may call me anytime My King, I'll be there" say the man pointing at a shop at the market and leave.

"Hmm Lady.."The King start to divert his look at this girl who have been yelling a few seconds ago.

"Forgive me your highness! Forgive me! I have committed a death sin!" that girl join her palm and bow low and her face is all swollen up.

"No it's okay dea.." the King is going to say something else but she cut his words off with "Devasena". The king nod understanding and she smile brightly. The King order me to get moving and i start the horse carriage.

"Oii pilla( Hey girl)" the King call for that girl and she turns around and the King throw a bag of chocolates and she catch it perfectly.

"Good catch"the King winks and giggle while leaving that girl dumbfounded. The King sit and i just try to focus the way.

"Your Highness, so the coronations is tomorrow?" i ask since i have been calling him with 'your higness' all these while.

"Yes and it's my last day to have fun.." he say sighing and i giggle.

"You don't like being a King?" i ask him and he move his head side to side.

" Not that i don't like. It is just i'm scared i can't rule this country. I am not confident enough." he say and i smile and say "You can, i believe in you Your Highness!" he remain quiet for a second and i make a clearing throat sound.

"Thanks dear warrior!" he say and i yell with "Long life! Long life! Long long life! King Vijayarama!". He giggle and i ride the horse more faster as the King keep on happy the entire day! I can't wait to see him on the throne tomorrow. He will sure be a great King!
