Alice's POV

"Thank you so much for doing this Alice, it means the world to me" Adrian tells me. As we talk on the phone.

"I know and I am honoured to do it" I tell him. Adrian is my best friend. We've know each other since diapers. And I am going to be his surrogate. My husband was not thrilled at first. So we had a son a year ago. So now he has agreed to allow me to be Adrian's surrogate. I'm at the hospital now for the insemination.

"I don't know how I'll ever repay you and Leo" he tells me. "Anyway I have to get to a meeting, see you tonight" he says. Did I forget to mention, he's a billionaire CEO? Well he is. I say good bye and hang up. My name is called and I go to see the doctor. But my phone rings and I see it's the daycare centre.

"Mrs Bennett speaking" I say when I answer it.

"I'm sorry to call you Mrs Bennett. I know you are busy, but Andy had an accident and may need stitches" the man says. He's the manager of the daycare centre.

"What? I'm on my way" I state and hang up. I rush over to the counter. "Please tell Dr Moore something came up and I had to leave. I'll reschedule the appointment later" I tell the male nurse. Who nods his head not looking up from his phone. I rush out of there.

(Dr Moore's office) third persons POV

"Mrs Bennett will be here soon for the insemination" Dr Moore tells the nurse helping her prep. The nurse nods her head. Suddenly a call comes in. One of the girls in labor is breached and needs an emergency C-section. "I have to go, but do you remember the procedure?" she asks the nurse.

"Yes, I've seen you do it several times. Go, I'll be fine" the nurse assures her and Dr Moore leaves. The nurse prepares the tools.

Kiara's POV

I arrived half an hour early for my appointment. There's a history of Ovary cancer in my family. Today I am having a test done to see how my ovaries are. It's my first time, but mum assures me it's painless. But will be uncomfortable, especially with me being a virgin. But if it avoids me having to go through cancer treatment, I'm ok with it.

Anyway I was sitting down when a nurse calls my name. I frown in confusion and walk over to the desk. "Dr Moore's last appointment cancelled. She can see you now" she states. As the male nurse beside her plays on his phone.

"Oh thank you" I say and she tells me where to go. I leave to hear her telling the male nurse to get off of his phone and inform Dr Moore of the chang I went to the room to see another nurse.

"Good morning, Dr Moore was called away to preforms an emergency C-section. So I will be preforming the procedure today. Don't worry though, I've helped her perform several times before" she assures me.

"Of course, what must I do?" I ask her.

"You can change in there, I'm just reading your file" she states pointing to the rest room. I go change and lay on the bed. Legs on the rests so that she can see my vagina. I'm glad it a girl and not a guy doing this. "Now this will feel uncomfortable, but it'll be over before you know it" she assures me.

"Thank you, I'm a little nervous" I tell her.

"Completely naturally, but it'll be over soon" she assures me. "We can talk to pass the time" she tells me. I agree. "So what do you do for a living?" she asks me curious.

"I'm studying to be a vet actually, just exams and I'll be fully qualified" I tell her.

"That's great, do you have pets?" she asks.

"Yes, two dogs and a cat" I state as I feel discomfort in my never regions. I try to ignore it focusing on my pets. "An Irish Setter called Ruby, a DSH ginger tabby called Orion and a golden retriever puppy called Buddy" I tell her.

"You're doing very well, how old are Ruby and Orion?" she asks me curious.

"Ruby is two and Orion is five" I tell her as the discomfort goes away.

"All done, you did great" she tells me.

"How did it look?" I ask her.

"Everything was perfect" she tells me.

"I can't wait to tell mum, thank you" I tell her.

"Have a good day, I have one more patient before my break" she says. I nod my head and change. She walks me out to the waiting area. I thank her before leaving not knowing what I now carry.

(Dr Moore's office) Third Persons POV

"How was Mrs Bennett?" Dr Moore asks.

"It went great, no complications with the insemination. But Miss Willows cancelled, said she'd reschedule" the nurse tells her. "How did the c-section go?" she asks.

"Both baby and mother did very well. The baby was perfectly healthy and the mother is recovering in the maternity ward" she states. "I think today has been a successful day. I have no more scheduled appointments. So just need to catch up on paper work" she tells the nurse.

"I clock off soon, anything you want me to do?" the nurse asks.

"Can you file Mrs Bennett and Miss Willows files?" Dr Moore asks.

"Of course" she says and Dr Moore gives her the files. "Ma'am, I thought you should know. Mike was on his phone again" she states. Mike is a trainee. But he's not interested in being a nurse. The only reason he's here, is because his mother made him. He'd rather be working at his mates repair shop as a mechanic.

"I'll have to talk to the board, I believe this is his last chance" Dr Moore states. She leaves the office. The nurse takes the files and leaves to file them.

(Elsewhere)

So Andy didn't need stitches, but has a nasty scratch on his arm. He didn't like the shot he had to have though. Alice told her husband and Adrian about having to postpone the insemination. Both said it was fine and were glad that Andy is ok.

(Willows house)

Kiara arrived her mother's house and did her homework. Before making herself lunch, then did some house chores. Before picking her brother Jake up from school. As their mother is in meetings all afternoon at the hotel she manages. She helped Jake with his homework before making them dinner. Leaving left overs in the microwave for their mother.

They then watched some cartoons before she tucked him into bed. After making sure he brushed his teeth and was in his pjs. She even read him a bedtime story. Before going to the kitchen to see their mother Jenny had returned and is eating dinner. "How did the appointment go?" she asks her.

"Everything was perfect" Kiara tells her. "Jake's in bed" she adds.

"Thank you for helping me today" Jenny states.

"Anytime mum, see you Sunday" Kiara tells her. Before grabbing her school bag and leaving. Returning home. To be greeted by her pets. She notices her neighbor had fed them and smiled. She got ready for bed and called it a night. With all her pets sleeping on their beds or in their crates. Buddy had curled up before Ruby in her crate.
