"Honey, there was no one here. Iris, look at me. Look at your old man. Come on, now." Michael, her father whispered to her as if she were a spooked animal. He held his hands up in the universal sign for peace to show he meant no harm.

But Iris never took notice of him, she was too consumed with her thoughts. Her body continuously faced the impending wall. Her hands still searching for a clue as to how 'he' escaped. How he had simply disappeared, as if he had never been there in the first place.

Michael took timid steps towards his frantic daughter, fear in his own heart as she searched for something on her wall. What the hell was going on up here? He wondered as he calmly pulled her away from the wall. Iris's eyes stayed glued to the corner of her room, even as her eyes filled with and released tears, she stayed focused on where 'he' had stood in her room.

How did he just disappear? How come he had two hearts? Why did he glowed the other night? She had so many questioned to litter her brain and yet the only answer she could come up with, was one she didn't want to acknowledge.

How was any of this possible? She knew he was defiantly not like everyone else. But the 'how' of the situation could only be answered by the one person who had disappeared into thin air.

Suddenly she was placed on a soft, warm surface. The couch, she realized.

Iris was so out of it that she didn't even realize that her father had taken her from her room and had now moved her to the front room.

'She was loosing her mind.' Iris thought feverishly as she covered her face with the palms of her hands. Her father planted himself carefully on the small wooden table in front of her, his eyes warm as he took in the image of his upset child.

"Iris," Michael said pausing, as if trying to find the right words to say. What could he possibly say to make her stop crying? Or better yet what could he say that could bring light to the situation they were in? Something was wrong with his daughter, and not in the simple 'I need a shoulder to cry on' way.

Besides the mental breakdown she seemed to be having, she thought she was pregnant.  Pinching the bridge of his nose, god he hoped not. He could deal with her mental status being a little disturbed. I mean all kids her age went through a rough patch, especially with the schools being as demanding as they were but a baby? No, Iris wasn't ready for that. She was still a baby herself! She was his baby. His little girl.

He wished she was just going through something that could easily be fixed. Maybe she was under loads of Stress and everything was finally hitting her. Or maybe..

Maybe she was truly loosing her mind.

Iris knew from the way he'd said her name that he didn't believe her when she'd said that Eric was in the room with her. Just great. Now her father thought she was crazy.

"I-I'm not c-crazy, Dad." She stuttered out as she tried to stop her tears from falling. "I know you don't believe me, but he was there. Talking to me. He was physically there, I touched him-"

"Honey, nobody was there. You've been upstairs by yourself for the last few hours-"

"No dad! He was there, okay! I'm NOT crazy!! He was there, I know it. I just know it!" Iris suddenly exclaimed in anger at the fact he didn't believe her.

"And he's the one your pregnant by?" Michael asked figuring that if she said 'yes' then there was a chance there was no baby; considering whoever she thought was in her room, wasn't.

"YES!"

Her father released a breath of ease as she answered."Okay, okay, calm down. Why don't you sit back down and we can calmly talk about it -Iris!" Michael exclaimed as he watched her try to leave the room.

"You wouldn't believe me anyways." She realized as she watched the emotions on his face register. He was relieved, because he thought she was crazy. He didn't believe her. She couldn't necessarily blame him. If she was the parent in this situation she'd be questioning her child's sanity too. But this hurt her all the more because, he was her best friend. Why would she ever lie about something like this?

Pausing by the stairs she spoke calmly, "No one would believe me. Heck, I barely-"

"What the hell is going on down here? What's with all of the yelling?" Her mother suddenly spoke as she rubbed her eyes trying to wake fully up. There she was having a good nap in her bed, when the raised voices of her husband and daughter interrupted her dreams. At first she thought she was mistaken, I mean they never argued. Never. So that had to mean that whatever was going on had to be serious.

"I'm trying to figure out what the hell is going on myself, only words I've gotten from Iris that I can even comprehend is that she seems to think she's pregnant-" Michael yelled in strong confusion.

"What?!-"

"I am! Why would I lie about something like that, dad?"

"Honey, I keep telling you! There was no one in your room! And if there was no one there then you're not pregnant!" He tried to explain.

"He was there, right before you burst threw the door! We were talking. And then he just -he just disappeared," she paused with a whisper as her own face showed how confused she was by what happened, before continuing with small amounts of conviction. "I don't know how he just disappeared into thin air, but he was there dad! And I know this sounds weird, but you have to believe me. I'm pregnant."

"W-What did you say Iris?!" Her mother echoed as she threw herself down the rest of the stairs and stood frantically in front of her child. Her eyes wide as her daughters words registered fully.

She had heard this before.

She couldn't believe it. Could it be?

Iris's arms gripped tightly in her hands as she asked, "Iris, honey, what did he look like hmm?"

"Jenny, seriously? What are you trying to-" Michael questioned his wife's now strange behavior.

"Shut up, Michael!" She spoke harshly as she turned back towards her daughter. "What was his name? Hmm? Did he say his name?"

"....Eric Havok." Iris answered carefully, not truly understanding why her mother looked.... excited?

"Havok.  A Havok, was here. Oh my gosh!" Her mother exclaimed as she placed her hand on her forehead in amazement.

A smile spread across her cheeks, "They're back!" She spoke in excitement.
