"My people, as in...?" Though Iris had a feeling she knew what the woman in front of her was implying, she simply wanted everything spoken plainly. Her brain was already trying to process the fact that she had been lied to all these years about her true parents, so she really didn't want to just jump to conclusions. Even though they would be rightly justified with everything that she'd already noticed about Eric.
For instance: His two hearts, the green glow that had been echoing across his skin, and the fact that he had disappeared from right in front of her face.
Iris knew Eric wasn't normal but she simply couldn't handle any beating around the bush. She wanted Jenny to state what and who exactly 'her people' were.
"As in... People who don't originate from earth. Your father, Devlin and Michael; they were all from a planet named Cranium, they came to earth strictly for mating purposes. Apparently their planet was dying out and as a last resort to save themselves, they sent groups of their best warriors out to different planets to find females that could carry a crossbreed to full term. They could literally sense it, or at least that was what I was told. But as long as they found someone who could survive the full pregnancy and the baby was born, their race could survive and thrive. Eventually they would find another planet like Cranium, and get back to the way things were before whatever problems they had grew. Hence, where you come into the story. Your father picked your mother as the person who would bore him children, but things happened before she could have anymore, thus meaning you were the only result of that relationship. And although I wouldn't wish for things to happen the way they did, I can't say I'm not happy he didn't use your mother for more kids. She wouldn't have been able to handle being with him after all the horror he had put her through." Jenny said as she stared into Iris's face.
Jenny hadn't truly admitted the fact that she knew about this let alone talked to anyone about it since... Well, since Iris's mother died all those years ago. Tears pooled in her eyes at just that thought.
Having to hold such deep and dark secrets for almost 18 years could really rip a person up inside. It was bad enough that she had to admit that Iris wasn't her own biological daughter but she also had to admit to the fact that there were other beings outside of their small universe.
"You're telling me that not only was my father a alien but you're telling me... I'm part alien?" Iris knew from the moment Jenny had started with her first story that things would be unbelievable but now it seemed all the more untrue.
She had never felt or looked any different than anyone else so how could she be part...alien?
The room started to spin as all of her thoughts started to jumble.
Okay, so her father was a alien... After everything she'd heard, she could believe that.
But that also meant she was part alien... Of course, the fact that her father was no doubt a full blown alien, she knew that would in-part make her at least fifty percent alien and fifty percent human. But just the idea of that made her two things: confused and sick.
Then there was the fact that Eric Havok was apparently kin to the Havok's that visited before, who were also aliens...
Thus meaning that the being that was currently snuggled deep within her womb, would also be more alien than human...
She was going to have an alien baby.
"I can't breathe," Iris panted as she suddenly started to feel overwhelmed. All of this was too much. She was starting to grow dizzy.
Two strong hands gripped at her arms helping Iris to stay upright. "It's okay, honey. I know it's a lot to take in but believe me, it's all true. Now just, relax. Breathe. That's it. Come on, calm down. Everything's fine."
"Can I just -I need a moment to myself, please." Iris said as she brushed Jenny's hold away before walking swiftly to her room. She couldn't even find the energy to close her door as she sank down to the soft mattress. Curling into a small ball, Iris tried to suck in all the information that had been poured out over her.
She felt as if she were in another mental space, taking everything in. Standing abruptly she started to pace the space of her floor, back and fourth. It seemed so fictional, like some weird science fiction novel that every time she thought about it she felt overwhelmed.
Her father was a alien. She was part alien. She was pregnant by a alien. Yet she lived in such a human world...
Or at least what she thought was a human world.
Whose to say if the people around her were truly human- Heck, she was supposedly half alien and she seemed about as human as humanly possible, if that made sense.
Taking a deep breath, Iris tried to focus on one problem at a time. One problem seemed to be continuously floating around in her mind...
Jenny had said that her father, Elias, had been sent here to mate with the humans to help re-multiply their own race; her mother being the woman chosen to have his children.
The problem that Iris was having with this now was simply that she was pregnant.
By an alien now...
So did that mean Eric had chosen her simply because he knew she could carry a mixed breed child? Would it even still be called a mixed breed, considering she was already a mixed breed? Had Eric never really noticed her because of who she truly was... but he noticed her because somehow he could sense she could be turned into a perfect baby making machine?
Suddenly a tiredness collapsed around her. Causing a distressed Iris to yawn widely, she could barely hold her eyes open as she started to droop towards the floor.
Panic set in as she realized what was happening. He was here. But her realization meant nothing as she felt a pair of strong arms encircle her waist and head, lifting her, making sure she wouldn't hit the floor.
"My beautiful Iris," The voice whispered as she was lifted up fully. It wouldn't have been as frightening if she had recognized the voice but in all honesty...
It was a voice she'd never heard before.

Downstairs, Jenny sat silently on the bottom step of her stairs. Her left hand constantly combing through the hairs of her still unconscious husband's scalp. Her right hand was encircled around her legs, clutching her knees to her chest as she stared down at him.
His body had gone back to his original form thanks to the magical potion she'd used earlier on him. Though to Iris it had looked like she'd only pinched him, she had actually stuck him with the potion that had once been inside of her mood ring.
Jenny exhaled again as she stared at his beauty, his frame stretched out across the floor at seven plus feet tall, his skin having a purplish tint. It had been so long since she'd laid eyes on this version of him. She loved him both ways, human or not.
Back when everything had happened to Iris's mom, he had been there, helping the both of them. And Jenny had fallen deeply in love with his personality. When Devlin Havok had announced he'd be leaving, Jenny had thought Michael would too. But he stayed to protect Jenny and Iris. Since his size and features were too beautiful to be unnoticed by humans, Devlin gifted him with a potion that would disguise his alien parts. The downside was that he wouldn't even remember that he was alien, not unless someone would give him a second dose of the potion. Only it could restore both his true being and memories. And Jenny had just done that.
She knew he would be angry the minute he found out that she'd told Iris everything...well, almost everything. But he had to understand, she couldn't hide any of it anymore. Plus, more Havoks were back, and if they were back that meant so was he. Everything was bound to come out anyways, it was better that Iris got the truth from them. Especially before someone else told her.
Finally after waiting what seemed to be forever, he awoke. At first his eyes showed nothing but confusion at his surroundings, then realization of the situation around him rained in like heavy saltwater. The fact that his wife's eyes held nothing but guilt as she stared into his awaiting eyes. Micheal sat up quickly, "Tell me you didn't." He said as he looked down at his legs and hands, noticing his change.
"I'm sorry, I had to. You know I had to-"Jenny spoke softly but was cut off.
"No, we gave an oath Jenny! We promised never to mention any of this sh*t again! Not after what happened to-" The anger showing in both his words and features as he stood quickly, pausing in his words and taking a deep breath. Gripping the space between his shoulder and neck, a grimace showed over his face, "And you used some of the potion on me." He stated, pissed as he felt the break in his skin.
"I'm sorry, I was just trying to have a moment with her alone. She needed to know and I knew you wouldn't tell her. I used one of the ring needles so that when I touched you, Iris wouldn't notice what I'd done," Taking a deep breath, Jenny finished, "They've already found her, so we can't just pretend what's happening before us isn't happening."
"That's not what I'm saying Jenny, and you know it. We gave our oath that we would never tell Iris the truth-"
"I know but we can't keep lying to her! She's been walking around for eighteen years thinking she was our daughter. And now that she's of age, they're back, and you wanted me to just pretend she was going crazy? She's not stupid."
"She is our daughter, regardless of if we have the same blood or not. You know I love her as if she were my own, but now that you've told her everything not only is our oath broken but she's in more danger!"
"So what would you have had me do then? Because acting as if she was imagining it all would've surely made her think she was committable. Excuse me, if I'd rather tell her the truth instead of wait for her to be told by 'him.' We both know that someone was there in the room with her, so there is no use in hiding anything anymore!"
"It's for her own protection, Jenny!"
"I know that, but the lies were beginning to weigh on me. And I wasn't going to do it again! She deserved the truth so I told her about her mother, her father, us not being her parents-"
"Jesus Jenny, you told her everything?!"
"It wouldn't have made sense if I told her only part of the story. Of course, I told her everything! Well, most of it anyways. There are still something's she doesn't know. I didn't tell her about you but now that you're back to-"
"Shut up!" Micheal exclaimed suddenly as he turned a ear towards the stairs, his hand tightly gripping at the banister.
"What?"
"Do you feel that?"
"Feel what?" Jenny paused as she tried to quiet her rapid beating heart, fear seemed to be causing her sudden heart beats.
Something felt off, it was too quiet in the house.
"Vibrations." Her husband said as he pushed past her and rushed up the stairs. Jenny hot on his trail as they both rushed to Iris's now empty room.
Her window wide open, her curtain floating out into the open breeze as her father approached it carefully. Michael's gaze followed the movements of a ship as it disappeared from sight.
"Dammit! They've taken her!"
"Did you see whose ship it was?!"
"Not really, but I can damn near guess whose it was! Send out the signal to my old ship, we have a situation." He spoke harshly as he brushed past his wife angrily.
All this could have been avoided if they had chosen to at least tell Iris together, they could have protected her together....
Bet you guys didn't even think about the fact that Jenny's husband was named Michael...
👉Michael Havok....
Did anyone catch that?
No, well anyways see ya!
Hope you enjoyed the chapter. 😘😘
