Judy's P.O.V

"Here goes everything" I heard Nick mumble. I couldn't help but agree with him. My parents hated foxes, except Gideon Grey, since they do business regularly...
But Nick was a different story.

I walked off of the train, right behind Nick. I hopped in front of him and started walking towards my old home in Bunnyburrow. I kept glancing behind me to make sure Nick was following. He was, but not as enthusiastically as I initially thought he would.

After a while, he walked faster, coming up next to me. He had a bored look on his face. I rolled my eyes and asked, "Yes, Nick?"
He sighed, grinning, "Are we there yet?"
I giggled, "Almost, be patient."
He looked around, grinning.
I smiled when I saw my old house. So many memories, some good... some bad...
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I realized I had walked up to the door, with Nick a good five feet away from me. It was obvious he was nervous, and I couldn't blame him. I quickly hugged him, then knocked on the door.

Nick's P.O.V

I was a little surprised as a sea of bunnies came rushing out of the front door. My ears folded down and I jumped back, not expecting this at all. I knew Judy had around three hundred siblings, but... this?

After the bunnies were done hugging and saying hi to Judy, they looked over and jumped at me, clearly trying to hold the big bad fox down till their dad got here.
Judy exclaimed, "Guys! Let Nick go. Now!" "But he's a fox! He's going to steal our stuff!" I just let my head fall to the ground in shame. I wasn't going to do anything bad here, just meet her parents and stay the night for dinner.

After a stern look from Judy, they all wearily let go and got off of me. Judy helped me up and I hugged her. "Thanks, Carrots." I whispered. She just nodded in response.

Finally, after introducing me, they all looked as if being around a fox cop is better than a normal fox, and Judy's parents walked out. Mr. Hopps immediately gave me the death stare, while Mrs. Hopps smiled at me.
"Hi mom, dad. This is Nick. My partner at the ZPD and...my mate" Judy said the last part quietly.
Judy's mom exclaimed in joy "Oh! You're the lucky mammal! Nice to meet you!" She shook my paw.
"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Hopps." I said.
"Just call me Bonnie, sweetheart, and this is Stu."
"Sure... Bonnie." I smiled.

I looked over at Stu "Nice to meet you too." I held out my paw.
He suddenly pulled out a fox taser and shocked my hand. I yelped in surprise.
"What was that for?" Both me and Judy said at the same time.
"Stay away from me. You're just lucky it wasn't fully charged." He said as he turned around.
I glanced at Judy who stared in disbelief at her father.
"That was quite shocking don't you think, Carrots?" I laughed. She rolled her eyes, grabbing my paw and almost dragging me inside.

After a bit of unpacking, me and Judy sat on her old bed, just the two of us.
I sighed, "I know you wanted me to come here and all... But I don't think it would be smart to stay..."
She kissed me, and said, "Come on, I know my dad doesn't like you... But maybe that can change. At least my siblings and mom seem to like you."
She nuzzled me and I looked at her.
"You always know how to cheer me up Whiskers."

Judy's P.O.V

I reluctantly stood up. "Come on... It's probably dinner time."
Then we heard my mom yell, "Nick! Judy! Dinner time!"
Nick chuckled, "Speak of the devil"

Me and Nick sat next to each other while my dad sat across from us, watching Nick carefully. My mom and Nick were making idle conversation while I dozed off, eating. It was all going smoothly until one of my siblings asked, very loudly, might I add.
"Judy, what's on your neck!" She asked.
Nick stopped talking, looking frightened and his ears went down. I flustered, blushing profusely.
"Uh... n-nothing!" I subconsciously moved my hand up to my neck, trying to cover Nick's love bites.
She did not give up. "Liar! There's... bite marks on your neck!" I blushed even more if that was possible. I pulled my ears down and laid my head against the table.

Nick's P.O.V

I was blushing too, but thankfully they couldn't tell. They knew I was terrified, however.
"What?! You, fox! Did you bite my daughter!"
I didn't exactly know how to answer.
"Umm..."
Judy's sister was determined to make me look bad apparently, she said, quickly sniffing me and Judy. "Judy! You even smell like him!"

I put my head in my paws, embarrassed. Stu was even more pissed. "What?! You even marked her!" He stood up angrily. Judy's mom, Bonnie tried helping. "Stu! They are mates. Of course he would mark her. It's what they do."
"That still doesn't explain the bite marks on her neck."
Judy spoke up. "Yes, it does... they're... love bites. Foxes do that to their mates as well..."

Stu stood there with disbelief and... a hint of disgust written all over his face. Of course he would hate me.
I just stood up, ignoring Bonnie's pleas to me and Stu, going to me and Judy's room, lying down on the bed. Waiting for sleep to come.
