The sun had already risen and fallen before I finally found a place to land. If I followed the map right then I should be right outside the California border. That should be plenty of distance between me and home. I relaxed on a high tree branch settling in for the night when I heard a sharp crack come from the ground underneath me. Startled I looked down and saw a pair of yellow eyes watching me accompanied with a low growl.

Slowly I started chuckling It's just a cat... Jesus I'm on edge. I can't shake the feeling that something bad's gonna happen. Nervously i started tracing my scar as i fell asleep.

I woke up in a black void that night as I had only twice before in my life. For some reason my head felt staticy and as if someone was piercing me through the head with a sharp blade. "What the fuck...why does this hurt so much?"

"Who are you? I remember this place but I sure as hell don't fucking remember there being an irritating voice" I growled in pain as I held my head.

Aww can you imagine how heartbreaking that is for me? I've spoken to you on a multitude of occasions, darling. You were just too prideful to listen to me. Always writing me off as nothing and blocking me out more and more. But you may wanna listen this time....

"You still haven't answered my question. What reason do I have to listen to you or believe I'm not insane?" I whimpered. The pain was becoming unbearable. I could feel something wet below my nose. I knew what it was just from how light headed I was feeling.

I heard a soft mocking chuckle, You should know who I am...After all we're the same body. And that's my advice to you. I know where you plan on taking us but you're putting us in danger. You're taking us outta my territory into claimed territory and there will be consequences if you make a wrong move.

"What do you mean ter-" Everything went fully black. I awoke in a cold sweat with a sharp pain in my head making it's presence known once again. "What kinda dream was that and what did she mean?" I wondered. "Wait....she never even told me her name! Wait...why do i even believe 'her', for all I know I'm simply going crazy!"

"I need to get a grip already. Maybe if I get on my way again, I'll feel better." Launching myself in the air, I took off wasting no time in crossing the border on my way to Los Angeles. I'd always heard stories about what kind of place it was but stories and reality are two different things.

There's nowhere I can land without risk of being seen. Well that's utter crap. Does this place not believe in privacy? Ooh wait there's a spot! I angled myself towards a dark alley near a small park with a trail. As soon as I was a foot off the ground, I folding in and hid my wings.

Glancing around nervously, I couldn't shake off the feeling from earlier. Now it felt even stronger and like I was being watched or even hunted. Quietly I pulled up my hood and tucked my tail under my hoodie as well before I began to follow the trail out towards the main road.
