-Part 1-

The sun was setting on the western plain, grey clouds mixing with the red and orange hues that managed it work themselves across the once blue sky. A light purple had already started to cover the canopy of the sky. The white moon had already started to make an appearance, along with the first stars in the sky. A boy with blond haired stood on top of a hill, gazing across the landscape before him. A large town, an enormous prairie, and a never ending sky stretched around him. His hands were in the pockets of his leather pants, matching the leather best he wore over his baggy green shirt. A hat with a single green ribbon was perched on his locks of golden hair, slightly covering his green eyes that seemed to glow neon in the setting sun. Breathing in the fresh air, his hand slid over to his holster where a black gun with detailed markings was held. Raising the weapon to the sky he waited for the large clock in the enter if the town to ring it's chimes. Soon enough, he heard it.

Ding...Dong...Ding...Dong...

He pulled the trigger of his gun, once, then twice, signaling to the men on the prairies that the work day was over. Immediately, a stampedes of hollering men on horse back came barreling through the valley.

Whoops and hollers could be heard as the riders raced towards town. It was an unofficial tradition that after every work day, the workers would race back to the town. The winner would get bragging rights, and most likely a free drink at the bar. In their town, bragging rights were great, especially when it came to the ladies. The boy smiled, thinking of his own girl back at town. She was probably out at the orphanage, teaching the children how to do laundry or something of the sort.

The first rider to arrive was on a copper stallion, who's coat seemed to turn maroon red from the cast if the sun's colorful rays. The rider wore a red shirt, dusty blue jeans, and newly polished leather boots. His ten-gallon hat was slightly lopsided, and his brown hair seemed to stick up at strange angles. His hat and jeans both were embroidered with red stitching, making him look very fancy and high class, even if he was a part time blacksmith. The rider swiftly swing out of his saddle, silently landing in his feet. The only noise he made was from the spurs on the back of his boots. Sweat trickled down his pale arms, his skin tone he inherited from his mother looking a light brown from a thick layer of dust. (His sister got his father's skin color, a light brown that looked like the color of a perfect tan.) No one could ever beat the rider on his Arabian stallion. He shot the boy a grin, scars on his cheek and nose glinting underneath his amber eyes.

"Howdy, Lloyd.", he greeted.

"Hey, Kai. How was the workday?" Kai shrugged.

"Same as usual. Un-eventful, boring, yet tiresome." Lloyd nodded as another rider came in, a brown mare trotting in a circle before stopping beside the two boys. A lanky-slightly muscular but still lanky-boy with light brown hair, electrifying blue eyes, an old hat, blue jeans, and a blue shirt sat atop the mare. On his shirt was a yellow star, his name stitched in black thread. His mother had always felt the need to customize his clothes when he was a young teenager, and he had yet to grow out of them. The boy slumped against his horse, his breath heavy and panting as the rest of the riders poured in through the town, some putting their horses in stakes, washing up at some barrels if water on the side of the street, or immediacy heading to the bar or a shop.

"Is it really supposed to be that hard to just round up a few hundred cattle, and watch over them? How long is it supposed to take?", he asked in dramatic exasperation. Kai frowned.

"Obviously not long enough, Jay. You're not dead yet. Since the sun's heat doesn't seem to kill you off, that means you'll still end up marrying my sister...", he mused, annoyed at the thought of this tiny boy becoming his sister's husband. Jay scoffed but was interrupted by another boy coming over.

The boy was noticeably more muscular than the others, and he towered over Lloyd. His hair was as black as night and his eyes a chocolate brown as they sparked from determination and relief that come with finishing a day of hard work. His own hat sat at his side, a thin black string tied around the middle and a few feathers attached for he sake d decoration. Other than that his outfit was pretty plain, with a simple black shirt, leather pants much like Lloyd's, and worn out boots. He stood beside Jay's mare, leaning against her for support as he picked a rock out of the sole in his boot. He had already put up his black stallion in the stable he shared with his beau, her own Clydesdale in the other stall. He gave the group of boys a toothy grin as he rubbed the grit out of his bushy eyebrows. Jay copied the motions, just to make sure no sand fell in his eyes.

"Man. That's what I call a good day's work!", he said with excitement, his smile contagious as the others too have their own grins. At that moment a girl with raven colored hair and blue eyes walked out of the stable connected to the blacksmith shop, having just put up her horse. Some people called her horse a cow-horse, because if the splotches that made it look like a cow. She swung her hat, letting her ponytail swing in the cool breeze, her light blue shirt puffing up from the gusts that occasionally followed the breeze. Wiping her hands on her dark blue jeans she sighed, leaning against Jay. His hand instinctively went to her waist, holding her in a gentle, yet firm grip. He fingered the blue neckerchief that hung around his shoulders, sweat trickling onto it. It had been crafted by the girl, Jay's lady-love, with a series of light and dark blue strips of cloth, and black stitching that seemed to create patterns of nothingness. Kai pretended to gag as he walked I've to the stable she had just come from, putting away his horse and tack.

"Whew!", she said with a sigh. "That water pump you guys wanted out there is hard to build. Good thing I had Jay to help me." Nya bopped his nose as he blushed from her praise. "I would've asked Pixal or Zane but they're helping Cyrus repair the bottom of the clock's foundation." As soon as she said that, a boy with blond hair that Almaty seems white walk towards them, icy boy eyes squinted from his smile. In one if his hands was a wrench and the other a black toolbox, which created a stark contrast against his spotless, white shirt(minus a few grease stains that he would surely wash out later) and light blue jeans. His own boots seemed to be silent as he crossed the street to the group.

"Hello, fellow teenagers.", he greeted in his strange way. Behind him, a gorgeous girl with bright green eyes, very pale skin, and hair so grey if seemed silver. She too had a small toolbox in one of her petite hands, the other gosling the skirt of her purple and white dress. The fabric of the dress was arranged so that it almost looked like a quilt pattern on the dress made of light purples and whites. Her hair was in it's usual ponytail, the twine holding it up slowly becoming loose.

"Hello.", she said sweetly, her voice sounding like chimes to the white haired boy's ears.

"Hi, Pixal, Zane.", Lloyd said as he greeted his friends with a smile. "We were just about to head over to Dareth's. You guys coming?"

"Of course." As soon as Kai returned, they all walked over to the saloon, Kay tying his horse to a post. He would put her up later.

Opening the swinging doors, the group was met by the sight of men crowding in groups, laughing, drinking, or even playing a round if friendly poker. They all walked over to the counter, sitting in their usual seats. A man with thick brown hair and chocolate eyes smiled at them, his signature grin on his face. It was noticeable that he was slightly pudgy as he leaned against the counter. "What can I do for ya?", he asked.

"I'd just like a water please, Dareth.", Nya requested.

"Same.", Lloyd agreed. Kai shrugged.

"Today's special.", he said as he looked at Dareth's paper menu.

"Lemonade.", Zane requested. "And a cold fruit juice for Pixal."

"Just a cherry-limeade, Dareth.", Cole said as he fanned himself with his hat. Just then the pianist played a few notes. "Oh dear...", he said with a smirk at Kai, who simply say up in his seat straighter, turning towards the balcony. A woman with long, red hair was walking down the stairs, her bright red and orange feathered dress catching everyone's gaze. The piano starting playing a beat that was both slow and quick, all at the same time as the woman sang, slowly descending down the stairs.

"Moonlit river...

Baby take me down to the moonlit river...

Where the water glows,

And we just don't know

How long this night will last.

Moonlit river...

With all of nature's chimes...

With the silver moon,

And the sweet lagoon,

Take me down to that moonlit river...!

Where the water glows tonight." She continued to sing, her song only stopping as soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs. Everyone burst into applause from the sound of her angelic voice, their attentions slowly going back to what they were doing before. Kai patted the seat next to him and she sat down, his arm immediately latching around her shoulders to signify she was his. "Afternoon gentlemen." They all dipped their hats in greeting, slowly beginning to chatter among themselves. Cole stirred his limeade that had just been given to him, eyes watching his father who was on stage, singing and dancing with the rest of his crew. The Royal Blacksmiths. Suddenly everything was quiet, and Cole tinted to the open door, noting that was where everyone's gaze was. A girl in a light pink dress with strips of green and and a black shawl stood in the doorway, her blond hair flowing over her shoulders. Her pink bonnet was swinging from her side, bright blue eyes sparkling in joy, or mischief. He wasn't sure. Thin, leather boots made small tapping noises as she hopped through the doorway, a giddy smile on her cheeks. His heart stopped for a moment, adoring the sight of the lovely girl, a perfect sunset behind her and dust floating in the air thy seemed to sparkle from the light.

"Everyone! Guess what?", she excitedly said.

"What?", everyone asked at the same time.

"I had an idea!" And then total chaos erupted. People were barreling over each other for the back exit, chairs were over turned and the music performers were hastily trying to make their way off stage. Glass shattered and-

"Cole? Cole? Hello? Earth to the Cookie Monster!", the girl said in front of him as he snapped out of the day dream. It was a little dramatic but at times, she really could scare the whole town by saying those four words.

"Sorry, Hannah. I just zoned out there." She pulled a chair up to sit by him, scooting Lloyd's seat to the side with incredible strength so she could fit.

"All good. So? How was your day?"

"Pretty good. Yours?", Cole asked as the short girl leaned against him. She shrugged.

"Same ol' same ol'. I did break that new filly I was telling about today. Her name's Elise." Pride burst in his chest. Hannah was the go-to person when it came to horses, and he was always proud of her when she trained a new one.

"That's great!", he congratulated, rubbing her arm affectionately. A thus in the seat beside him made them both sit up quickly, turning to the source of the sound. Shooting warning daggers at Cole was a tall, dark green eyed man, with longer black hair, a green streak in it, and a vey muscular build. His eyes squinted at the boy, smiling tightly at Hannah.

"Hello, you two." Cole immediately translated it. He really knew Morro was saying, "Get your grubby hands off of my daughter you idiot." Cole immediately let go, picking up his cup with both hands. Hannah frowned.

"Dad, be nice to Cole. He's my fiancé. You'll have to learn to like him.", she said, trying I reason with he stubborn father. Morro groaned.

"Hannah, why don't you just not get married, hm? Just, not grow up and go back to being a little girl?", he suggested hopelessly. Hannah rolled her eyes with a giggle.

"Whatever, Dad. Is Damien still asleep?", she asked, changing the subject.

"Yes. I saw him sucking his thumb." Hannah got a puppy-dog look on her face.

"Aaw! My baby's so cute!" Cole nudged her.

"Of course he is. He's your son.", he said, attempting to flirt. Hannah blushed as Morro threw fire with his eyes at the poor boy. A similar scene was happening with Jay and Nya a few chairs away.

"Nya?", Jay stared nonchalantly. The tomboy raised her eyebrow. "Did I ever tell you that you're the prettiest girl in the prairie?" Nya quirked a smile as he say her drink down.

"Only everyday." Jay goofily smiled, pretending not to notice the deadly look Kai was giving him behind Nya's back.

"Well it's not nearly enough times. But then, you're too beautiful for words." Nya rolled her eyes with a bashful smile. Yes, Jay needed to work on his pickup lines, but he loved him nonetheless.

"You're cute Walker." Pinching his cheek she stood. "Now come dance with me." Jay stood abruptly with a giddy smile.

"My charms have worked! I knew you loved me!" Nya just giggled as she looped her arm through his. They stood together in the middle of the floor, giggling and laughing as their boots tapped the newly polished wooden floor, arms never letting go. Everyone in the building started clapping their hands to the beat, and pounding the floor with their shoes, urging on the cute couple. Kai had to admit that they were really good for each other-he just hated the thought if having to give his sister up. Oh well, he thought. Better her marry someone I trust than some idiot. When the two were done dancing, breathless and laughing, they just kind of held each other, gazing into the other's blue eyes lovingly, anything else around them drowned out. Swiftly, Jay bent Nya over, placing a living kiss on the unsuspecting girl. The crowd erupted into cheers. It was common knowledge that they were engaged. The whole town would come to the wedding whether they were invited or not-everyone loved them. Nya melted into the kiss, pulling him closer(if that was physically possible). Nothing could make her let go.

Well, except for-

"All right all right! Show over!", Kai shouted as he walked to the center of the building where the couple was. Nya's head fell back as she looked at her brother upside down, her unamused expression matching Jay's. The crowned groaned and laughed at the same time.

The pianist stood after finishing his song, walking over to where Hannah and Pixal sat, chatting about the factors of what the wether would be tomorrow, trying to determine if it would be a good day for repairing the town's pasture where the horses could roam. The pianist dipped his hat to the ladies, slightly covering his cloudy green eyes and black hair. His chocolatey skin matched the dark brown shirt he wore, black pants tucked into his tall boots. "Excuse me ladies. My gifts over and I need to go meet Nada." Hannah and Pixal nodded. Nada was his girlfriend, an Hannah's lifelong friend. She also worked at the Mercantile, which was where he had met her. Nada had liked him for a very long time, but he hadn't even known she existed. Finally though, they had met and fallen in love.

"Alright, Hilo. Go have fun.", Hannah said as she walked over to the piano, Pixal following so they could make small-talk as she played. He smiled, the movement making the scar on his cheek seem more apparent. Jogging out of the saloon with a hand on his hat, he was stopped by Lloyd getting up to follow him.

"Hey, Hilo.", he greeted. "Where are you off to?"

"Mercantile. I'm meeting up with Nada." Lloyd smiled at Cyrus Borg who was sitting in his wheel abut on the porch.

"That's where I'm headed. Gotta pick up a few things for Harumi. She gave me a small list-" Lloyd pulled said list from his pocket, scanning the items.

"I thought you said it was a small list!", Hilo joked as they crossed the street. Lloyd nodded with a huff as he read the foot-long list.

"Women am I right?" Walking in they both went their separate ways. Hilo slunk up to the counter as stealthily as possible, trying to surprise the black haired girl at the counter. Her back was turned to him as he walked begin the counter, startling her as his fingers danced up the back of her dark, almost black, purple blouse. Her skirt was a deep black, and her teal apron was bright against the fabric. She swiftly turned around, relaxing as soon as she saw his familiar face. Fixing the red bow in her braided hair she pretended to be upset.

"Hilo, you could have made me drop the jar of pickles.", she said with a fake pout. Hilo grinned as he wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm sowwy. You forgive me?", he asked as he nuzzled her hair. Nada giggled.

"Alright, Thunder. You have been forgiven." Hilo noticed Lloyd gagging playfully at them while he examined some burlap sacks. A pile of groceries sat on the counter beside him. "Now. Let's get going.", Nada commanded as she picked up her bonnet from its hook where it hung. In it's stead she hung up her apron, and poked her head into the storage room where a man with gray and blond hair was rearranging the shelves. "Mr. McAntosh! I'm leaving." He looked up from his crates with a smile.

"Alright, dear. Have fun. And tell that blond boy to stop drooling over the candies and just buy one." Nada and Hilo turned to where Lloyd was looking at the room in shock.

"How did he know...?", he whispered to himself. Nada waved at the shopkeeper and Lloyd, taking Hilo by the hand and walking outside. Lloyd dug through the candies. Wether he was an adult now or not, nothing would keep him from his candy. Mr. McAntosh walked out I the storage room, wiping his hands with a towel.

"Better grab some chocolate and pickles for the lady. I have some for her set aside." Lloyd grinned. Mr. McAntosh was one fire few who didn't judge him because of his father, Garmadon. Garmadon was an outlaw, and many people were determined Lloyd would grow up to be just like him. Luckily, the idea seemed to have worn away lately, and less people believed it. Especially now that he was going to be a father. Lloyd and Harumi had gotten married not too long ago, and now she was going to give birth to his child. Although, because he was pregnant, she was clan tablet asking Lloyd for weird food combinations.

"Got any raisins? Harumi wants to make raisin bread-if she doesn't burn it.", Lloyd joked. Harumi wasn't the best cook, but she was trying, and that was all Lloyd could ask for. And, after a long day of plowing their wheat fields, he would eat just about anything. After Lloyd paid for his groceries he walks outside, taking in all the sights and sounds. Fresh air brought the scent of grassy hills, laughter flowed out of the saloon, mixing with the sounds of an up beat piano piece. Through the window he saw that almost everyone was up and dancing, laughing and feeling merry. He once again smiled, walking in the direction of the stable. Unhooking his horse's bridle, he put the groceries in his saddlebags, swung onto the milky-vanilla colored mare, and set off down the road towards his house, taking in the sights of trees, leading his horse to step off the road when the occasional cart passed. Finally, he made it to the small cottage he and his wife lived in. Putting the horse in the barn, he took off its tack as brushed down her fur. "You know, Missy, I think it's about time to get you a friend. Maybe this harvest we'll have enough wheat to sell. If the crops good." The horse whinnied, blowing some dust out of her nostrils. "Don't know what that means but I'll take it as a whinny of hope." Lloyd grinned, closing the door and walking out of the barn. A cow bellowed at him as he walked to the house, chickens scattering to their pen with the idea he was going to feed them. Closing the door when they were all in, he laughed. "You've already been fed today. Get some rest, you silly chickens." Thy squawked in defiance as he closed the door to the cottage. "Rumi? I'm home!" A gorgeous girl with white hair, brilliant green eyes, and a swelled tummy walked out of the small kitchen, eyes lighting up like her smile when she saw him. Leaping into his strong arms, he caught her with a laugh, kissing the top of her head. She pulled away only far enough to look him in the eyes, memories flooding their minds. She had helped his father nearly destroy the town when he was freed from his jail sentence. Right before they had defeated him, a building collapsed on her, and she had been thought to be dead. A year later, she showed herself when she brought Hannah to the doctor from the alleyway. The team was immediately informed of the situation, one thing led to another, (extra details that would spoil my Ninjago High story), and then Lloyd and Harrumi made up. That was the short version of the story.

"Hi, Lloydie! Did you get the groceries?", she asked innocently. He playfully sighed as he set the items on the small table.

"If you mean the list of 100 objects from the store, then yes." The wife rolled her eyes as she sorted through them, quickly putting them up.

"Well, I've made dinner. It's a simple pot roast. You don't get anything fancy until tomorrow." Lloyd gave her a perplexed look.

"What's tomorrow?"

"Oh, Sulfur and Hannah are coming over tomorrow. They're going to help make dinner and give me some tips on being a mother. Griffin and Cole are coming too, so you men can do whatever it is men do dying that time." He nodded, sipping a cup of coffee in thought. Happily sighing, Lloyd placed the cup on the table, wrapping his arms around Harrumi's waist as she stirred the pot of roast.

"I love you, Harrumi Garmadon."

"I love you too, Lloyd Garmadon." She leaned into his embrace, a content smile on her lips, knowing whatever trials may come their way he would always be by her side.
