In fiction, we usually see that the powers that a superhero happens to possess fit their personality to some extent. Or are just seemingly random, that sometimes happens too.

But what if people had powers that were linked to their biggest fears or something they just plain hated...

Fears aren't always something that can be explained. Phobias aren't always rational.

My world would be so much easier to understand if fear worked that way. If we could explain fear we could explain power. In my world they are pretty much the same thing. Your fears determine the powers you process, the abilities you have.

But what happens to someone who's afraid of heights but has the ability to fly...

What happens to someone so afraid of leaving their comfort zone that they have the ability to teleport but it causes them fear and pain to do so...

What happens to someone so afraid of technology that they don't even own a phone, yet can build these incredibly advanced machines, and yet are strangely ok with doing so...

What happens to someone who's so afraid of being judged or what people think of them. But being given the ability to always know what's on people's mind...

What happens when someone wants to have complete control over the world and will do whatever it takes to get that control. After all the fear of losing control over your life can be quite the advantage in that area...

But what happens to the poor person who's afraid of everything. How will they cope in a world where fear has this much control over people's lives. How much power could someone like that process. But more importantly what side of things will they fall on, will they be controlled or will they follow their heart...

I suppose we better find out, are you afraid?
