Robins point of view

"Jem, he's telling the truth...", Jacks says as he lifts his head to look at Jem, "it was only a matter of time before you guys found out".

"Find out about what exactly?,", I ask him, a little worried about this whole situation. First off, I mean come in, Finn is acting odd... almost sinister, like he's working against us. And now Jacks been lying to us about his powers... this is getting crazy.

But then before Jack could answer my question, I remembered why we were standing outside in Jacks back garden at midnight.

"Wait, wait...no", I say frantically waving my hands around, "that's not what's important right now... I mean that's is a big deal and we definitely need to talk about that later...", I say looking at Jack, but then I move to look at Finn.

"We have bigger fish to fry right now... like you", I say pointing at Finn, taking a step closer to him.

"What are you up too?, why are you stealing that paper? and why are you turning against us?", I say getting a mixture between angry and upset with each question that I ask.

"Oooo honey... I ain't got time to explain... I better be off, but I'll leave you with this...", he said, as he lifted his hand and moved his finger to touch my forehead...

...that's when everything went black...

Jems point of view

Finn moves closer to Ro, he touched her and then she collapsed... but just before I swear her eye went dark grey and almost black it was hard to see.

"What did you do to her?", Jack yelled at Finn, as he ran over to Ro and so did I.

"Ooo, just gave her a little fright...", he says with a chuckle. He makes his way to leave before Jacks runs over to him to block him once again.

"Oh for gods sake!," he says exasperated and rolls his eyes.

"Your not leaving, intill you undo whatever you did to Ro!", Jack angrily says to Finn.

"Uhhh... Nope!", he says before he once agin reaches forward and touches Jack on the forehead like he did to Ro... and like Ro he collapsed.

"Haha,", he says before stepping over Jack and leaving the garden.

"Not on my watch!", I say to no one before teleporting my way to stand in front of Finn.

He sighs when he sees me, " What is it with you people!, can't you just let me be!", he says rolling his eyes once again.

"Your our friend Finn, I don't understand... I don't understand why your doing this??", I say trying not to breakdown and give in to the tears that threaten to fall.

"Because like I said before... IM NOT FINN!", he yells, he angry, more angry than I've ever seen him.

"What does that mean?", I ask him, pleading for him to explain himself.

"It means, he's being controlled, his psyche has been split into, Finn is in there somewhere... I can hear him pleading EverFear to stop what he's doing", says a voice behind me.

I turn around slowly... I don't recognise the boy standing behind me, he look around my age had blonde hair and even though it's dark I can see his wearing black jeans with a white t-shirt and I think a red jacket... not entirely sure.

"Hi Jem, I mean no harm, I'm here... I'm here to help... I wann stop him too Jem...", the boy said taking steps towards us.

"Umm, who exactly are you?", an annoyed abounding Finn, said behind me.

"Oh, hi Finn, or do you prefer EverFear... I believe you know my father... tall... maths teacher... evil... control freak...", the boy says.

As he list more things I begin to realise who this boy is. "Omg... your Max aren't you?", I ask as I turn to face him.

"Indeed, I'm glad to know Ro, has mentioned me... by the way I can read minds that how I knew your name and I know what he's done to Ro and... your friend Jack", he smirks as he says Jacks name, but I ignore him.

"And it's also how I know this isn't Finn...  it mentally he chose the name EverFear, really man?! What kinda name is that!,", the boy I now know is Max says looking at Finn... or EverFear? Max is right what kinda name is that.

"And I also know your still in there Finn, and I know you don't know me and have reason to trust me but I do know my father and what his powers do to people... you must be a really good person who really loves his friends, if the very though of betraying them, even against your will... broke you mind in two", he said taking a step closer to EverFear as he spoke.

"Basically I'm saying you stronger than my father and your stronger than EverFear...", he says has he is standing directly in front of him now.

EverFear looks Max directly in the eyes... "your wrong!", he says pulling his mouth into a smirk..., "Finns not here... I'm all that's left...".

"Then why can I hear Finn in your head right now... screaming at me... screaming at me to get away from you!", with that he jumps further away from EverFear.

EverFear floats up into the air, and flys away? He flys away!!! Flys... flys away??? How???

"Umm Max... he flew away?.... HOW DID HE FLY AWAY!!", I screamed as I look up into the sky.

"Ro...", Max said looking at his feet, he moves his head up to look at me... "from what I can tell, he took Ro's power when he did whatever he did...".

"How do you know all this?", I ask him.

"I... I read his mind... it's werid normally I can control it... only read people's mind when I want too but the closer to Finn or EverFear whatever... the more thoughts I heard without trying... it was like I was getting stronger... my powers were getting stronger...", he said looking confused, searching for an answer he knew he didn't have.

Then I remembered something Finn told us the day we met.

(Finn just shrugs and says "I can also enhance people's fear as well as their powers".)

"Omg, that's one of Finns powers... the first day we met... he told us that he could also enhance people's fear... as well as their powers.", I say with a smile.

"Oh Jesus Tap Dancing Christ, how many powers does this kid have??... But anyway why would EverFear enhance my abilities, when I was trying to stop him?", Max asks me.

Oh yea... why would he? Unless he didn't... someone else did.

"What if EverFear did enhance your ability...", I tell him, let a smirk fall on my face.

"I don't follow...", he stares at me confused.

I let my smirk turn into a more genuine smile... "Finn did".

"Ohh, maybe but we can't know for sure," Max says smiling before staring to head back to Jacks garden, "we better go check on them, and if they are still unconscious, which I think they will be..." he says with a sigh, "we should probably take them inside out of the cold".

"Yea..", is all I say before following him.

Hiya, this ended up longer than I was expecting and nothing like I had planned... but I think this is better.

Sooo Finn used his powers on them, yeesh. I bet Finn is more powerful than you all expected him to be!
