We had pretty much no trouble entering the building... which was odd Nikola seems to know his way around. We were walking down a corridor in mid conversation. I was asking him as many questions as I could about the mission and the plan and stuff... at he moment we were talking about the whole power plant incident...

"did you not think it was odd that's the power plant blew up... yet no ones powers went out...", he says looking down a corridor.

"I never... noticed that before..." I say as I'm stopped from walking further as two guards pass.

"no one did... apart from Controller that is" he says walking again.

"that odd... why is he the only one who noticed?", I ask.

"because you can't use mind control tech... on a mind controller", he says as we reach I locked door with a keypad next to it.

"ahhh... makes sense..... wait MIND CONTORL TECH?", I yell to loudly and he shushes me.

"that's what P.H.O.B.I.A does", he says starting to mess with the keypad.

"wait... whats P.H.O.B.I.A?" I ask as I lean on the wall.

"uhhh... you don't know?", he says looking away from the keypad briefly.

"are you serious?... does it seem like I know any of this...", I say leaning my head on the wall.

"umm one, I'm always serious... I wear a necktie..." I laughs slightly and gestures to his tie, "..and two why are you here? Everyone else in this seems to have personal vendetta against P.H.O.B.I.A... but you don't?".

"To be honest I don't know why am here... I know for a fact part of me doesn't want to be here... but I'd chosen to ignore him..." I say looking at the floor.

"I'm in..." he says as the door opens and we make our way into the room.

"what exactly are your powers?" I ask as we enter the room.

"electricity ... making it... controlling it... effecting anything that uses it... like tech... like keypads to secret labs" he says walking around the lab looking for something.

"right cool... What exactly do you need me for?" I ask following him through the lab.

We reach I giant machine that looks high tech... and I have no idea what it does.

"I need a boost..." Nikola says answering my question.

"boost?", I ask still looking at the machine.

"my powers?",

I stare at him blankly... I have no idea what he needs me to do.

"... I need you to boost my powers so I can disrupt all the electronics in Eternia Heights..." he says looking back up to the machine.

"why do you need to do that?" I ask him

He chuckles, "you have a lot of questions".

"because I need a lot of answers... I'm supposed to be the centre of this plan... yet I don't know the plan... no one felt the need to tell me..." I say gesturing around me frantically.

He looks at me with an amused look, "hate to break it to you... but you are not the most valuable player in this game...".

"then who is?" I ask with an eyebrow raised.

Max's point of view

"yea... ok...", Ro says making her way into the building.

I walk around the area looking for anyone... Ro was right it is strangely quiet

Well it was in till...

"Max?" I hear a familiar voice behind me.

I turn around to see my father standing there with his hand in his pockets, "oh... what no Maxwell or son..." I say with an amused laugh.

He looks down at his feet "I know I haven't called you Max in a while...".

"you haven called me Max since... since you know when...", I say quietly.

"I know perhaps I could change that..." he says looking up at me.

Come on son... don't make me do it...
I heard him think...

"don't make you do what? Hmm..." I ask him angrily.

He looks at me afraid but slightly angry "Maxwell... I thought I said not to use your powers on me"

"You also that about your powers... but that didn't stop you forcing me and my friends to sit in those chairs did it... what was your plan with that anyway... don't tell me it was to try and convince me that your the good in all this and for me to join you..." I yell... tears filling my eyes

My see my father shuffle on his feet awkwardly.

It makes me feel like what I just said might have said had some truth to it... and that's just hilarious to me "wait... no... really... well how did that work out for ya... huh..." I say with a laugh.

Not great obviously...

"I'm guessing you don't actually need me to answer that..." he says with a slight laugh.

"nope, now if you excuse me... I need to go talk with someone", I say making my way to the door to warn Ro.

I can let you do that

Uses his powers to stop him from walking away

My legs stop moving and I turn around to face my father, against my will.

"dad what are you doing?", I ask frightened.

Everything goes black... the last thing I heard was...

"I'm sorry Max...".

Well that explains what happens to Max... also just to clarify Morrison has Max fully under his control now

The dynamic between EverFear and Nikola is fun to write...
