"Everyone we have a new student joining our class today, he's moved here from another class," our teacher announced to the class, with Finn standing next to him, "would you like to introduce yourself?".

"I... uhhh...." he's says nervously, his eyes dotting around the class to the people he didn't know until his eyes landing on me. I smile at him giving him two thumbs up, trying my best to reassure him.

He smiles back at me and takes a deep breath, "my name is Finley Fawkes, but everyone just calls me Finn.

"Like the Star Wars character !!!" Jem shouts out making Finn and half the class laugh.

"Ok, Finn the Star Wars character you may sit down now," Mr Morrison says as he turns to his desk to get ready for the lesson.

Finn walks over to the empty seat next to Jem and asks if it was ok if he sat there, she just nods in response and he sits down.

The rest of the class goes by like normal, and as we are about to leave to go home, Mr Morrison calls me back into the classroom. Jem and Finn wait for me outside as I talk with Mr Morrison.

My mind was racing, why did he want to talk to me after class, did he know I saw him with Shadow Spider...

"Miss Swift, are you listening to me?" I heard Mr Morrison say as I'm pulled out of my thoughts.

"Sorry, Sir, long day..." I said hoping that was an adequate answer for him not ask any more questions.

"As I was saying you left this in my room yesterday," he says handing me my coat.

"Ooooh, thanks," I say relieved it wasn't anything more serious, "may I ask how you knew it was mine?".

"It was left in the seat you were sitting in, I may have only been here a day but I have a good eye for faces," he said raising an eyebrow as I take my coat from him.

"Ahhh, ok thanks again, but I really must go, my friends are waiting for me," I say as I start heading for the door.

"Ok Miss Swift, see you next lesson," he says watching me leave.

"Bye sir" i say leaving the room as quickly as I could without it seeming suspicious.

I walk out of the room and greet my friends. Jem looks at me worried while Finn just looks confused.

"He just wanted to give me my coat back," I say to Jem easing her concerns.

"Phew!, ok let's start walking to Jacks, he had a half day so he's already home..." she says before looking at Finn and then back at me "working on that project for us".

We start walking down the hall towards the exit of the college, in comfortable silence, in-till it was broken by Finn.

"Why do you walk home, if you can just fly or teleport home?", he asks us curiously.

Both me and Jem stop in shock at what our new friend just said about the powers we had never talked about.

"Uhhh Finn, how did you know what our powers are?" I asked him, with a wide-eyed look.

He turns to face us, "that's kinda my power, I have pantophobia, which means I'm afraid of everything, which sucks!" he says as he chuckles a bit, "that makes me be able to sense what people's fears are and what powers they have".

"Huh, that's a cool power," Jem said still a little shocked at what we just heard.

Finn just shrugs and says "I can also enhance people's fear as well as their powers".

"Wait you can make people's powers stronger?" I say taking a step towards him and smile "that's really cool".

"I also make people more afraid, I can't always control my powers," he says turning around so we can't see his face.

"Finn, are you ok?" Jem steps forward putting a hand on his shoulder, which makes him jump slightly.

"Yea, I'm fine," he says, but we can tell he's not.

"Ok, I can't believe I'm doing this!" Jem says dragging me and Finn outside and behind the college, so no one can see us. Me and Finn look at each other confused before looking at Jem. She had both her hands out in front of her where a small circle of blue light was forming. I gasped as I realised what she was doing, she was making a portal, I've seen her do it before but not very often.

The portal was now big enough for us to walk through we could she Jack's back garden on the other side where the Treehouse stood.

"Hey, Ro, you think we can trust Finn here with our secret project," Jem said smirking at me, as Finn just looked both confused and in awe of the portal Jem just created.

"I think we can", I say looking at Finn then back up at Jem.

"What secret project," Finn asks us still looking at the portal.

"You'll see" both me and Jem say in unison laughing. With that, we all walk through the portal...

"Geronimo!!", yelled Jem, to ease her nerves.

We arrive on the other side of the portal and Jem closes it, we walk up to the Treehouse and climb up, well they climb I fly. We walk in to see Jack working at the table on something, he turns around to see us.

"Hey Jemy, Hey Ro, Hey... who's that ?" he says looking at Finn.

"This Jack, is Finn," says Jem to Jack, "and Finn this is Jack," she says to Finn smiling.

"Nice to meet you, Jack, this place is amazing", said Finn holding his hand out for Jack to shake.

"..... Thanks", Jack said hesitantly shaking his hand.
