Alvin Giovanni was excited to get his Hogwarts letter for on top of proving his distasteful parents wrong, he was finally able to see the wizarding world for himself or so he thought. Having been trained with spells at a young age up till the required fifth year yet no matter how much he waved a wand, no matter how much he said a charm, and no matter how much he willed for something to happen, everything was simply blank . There was no accidental China breaking, no shrieking that caused precious glass to shatter, not even a simple levitating of his favorite stuffed animal. On top of being a squib, Alvin seemed to be day dreaming all day in class and not just any day dream, a day dream that consisted of staring at none other than Slytherin Pureblood, Theodore Nott who often stared back.

Theodore Nott prided himself in being knowledgeable, he prided himself in being a pureblood who could outwit anyone who came his way yet as first year rolls around, Theodore gets a taste of his own medicine when not only does a young boy out smart him in class, a squib boy out smarts him in class. Horrified and Embarrassed, Theodore makes it his personal mission to investigate the boy through any means possible and he's dragging everyone that's in ear and eye shot into it.

For this mission, Theodore expects a lot of things to happen, a visit to the infirmary, losing his so called friends, finding out that even the most knowledgeable person could be suffering and everything in between but he didn't except to abandon all his morals and become friends  with the very thing he was taught to despise.
