"i love it when we get to spend time together without being bothered by anyone else..."

jeno chuckled at his boyfriend's words, snuggling closer to him as a sign of love and affection while both of them were cuddling on their bed.

"i love that too." he nodded. "it's nice when you have days off like those."

"mmh, these kinds of days are the best." renjun approved his boyfriend's words without an ounce of hesitation.

right now, renjun couldn't imagine having a better life.

he had been granted a day off, and he was spending it with his perfect boyfriend in his arms, none of them being stressed by any potential thing that they would need to do later on.

it was just renjun and jeno, jeno and renjun, and no one else. no one to bother them or to prevent them to do whatever they wanted to do.

and renjun couldn't dream of having a better life at this exact moment – well, until this exact moment.

just as renjun was realising how lucky he was to have his whole day with jeno, without anything to bother them, inevitably something appeared to bother them. and this thing was nothing else than the white rabbit jeno had adopted at this weird auction around two weeks ago.

"everything alright? you seem tensed." jeno pointed out, feeling renjun's body getting more rigid suddenly.

"let's say that just when i thought i would be able to spend an amazing day with you and only you, someone came, thus making it impossible..." renjun heaved out a sigh, taking his eyes off the bedroom's door that was now ajar and that had let the rabbit walk in.

"huh?" jeno frowned, not understanding what his boyfriend meant.

"see for yourself..." renjun told, and before jeno could ask anything further, a mop of white hairs hopped on the mattress by jeno's side, causing him to coo loudly.

"aww! nana!" jeno exclaimed, sitting up and reaching for the hybrid.

"and here we go again..." renjun breathed out, his eyes unconsciously rolling to the back of his head in desperation.

"he wants cuddles too." jeno giggled, lying back on the bed and snuggling into renjun's hold, but this time with the rabbit between both of them.

renjun looked down at jeno, his eyes widening when he saw that his boyfriend had placed the rabbit between them.

"what's that- what's he doing there?" he asked, doing an effort to use the 'he' pronoun for nana as his boyfriend had asked him days before.

"he's cuddling with us." jeno explained simply. "he's sad always seeing us being cuddly but never cuddling with him."

"right..." renjun said. "and i believe he told you that?"

"he did." jeno looked up at his boyfriend with a bright smile that he knew renjun couldn't resist.

he wasn't really lying. during one of their conversations jaemin had mentioned that he was happy that jeno had such a perfect boyfriend as renjun, and that he envied him for his amazing love life. jaemin had also said that he would give anything to be cuddled against someone's chest like that.

so, by pulling nana in their embrace, jeno was partly realising jaemin's dream – not that renjun needed to know that.

"of course, he did..." renjun's eyes rolled to the back of his head again, still not too seduced by the idea of this rabbit getting in the middle of their love life.

"how would you feel being alone and living with a perfect couple, huh?" jeno raised a brow.

"well, as a human, i'd certainly be envious of them." renjun replied. "but the question doesn't need to be asked because you and i already are the perfect couple."

"sure, we are..." jeno giggled. "and nana has to live with us, so i suggest that we show him more attention and love, because i don't want him to feel left apart."

"i'm not sure rabbits have the capability to feel all of these complex feelings." renjun replied sceptically.

"i'm sure he has." jeno told bopping his boyfriend's nose.

the two of them stayed silent for a few seconds, their bodies pressed together as the rabbit was still between them, held by jeno's arm. their faces inched closer, tempted by each other's lips even after years of being together. when they finally met, butterflies erupted in their stomachs, ticking their insides in an oh-so-pleasant way that neither of them wanted to break apart. when they were forced to pull back to breathe, they both kept their faces close before leaning in again and again and pecking each other's lips multiple times while staring into each other's deep eyes.

everything was so perfect, and they were both aware that better wasn't possible. they had reached the upmost level of perfectness in their relationship and nothing could break them apart. they love each other dearly, and this was all that mattered.

jeno pulled away, his cheeks flushed because of their kisses. "are you sure you're human?" he asked his boyfriend.

"why? because i kiss like a god?" renjun lifted a brow, making jeno laugh and hit him playfully.

"yes, you do, but it wasn't what i was referring to!"

"then tell me what is it, babe." renjun chukled as well.

"well, i don't get how you can resist... this much cuteness!" jeno exclaimed, lifting the rabbit and placing it right in front of renjun's nose, causing him to squint.

"h-huh..."

renjun spent a few seconds looking into the rabbit's big black orbs, somehow getting mesmerised by their depth and intensity. these eyes were almost begging him to give in and coo loudly, because yeah, they were fucking cute, and the way the rabbit's nose moved slightly as he breathed added to the animal's cuteness.

he had ot remember though that this rabbit used to belong to mister na, that they had gotten it at a weird auction, and for free. and he had to keep in mind that everything that happened around this rabbit seemed weird and not normal.

"isn't he cute, renjun?"

before a 'yeah' slipped past his lips, the chinese male looked aside at his boyfriend's whose eyes and face were as cute as the rabbit's.

he couldn't deny it, the rabbit was cute. but it was a rabbit, and all rabbits were cute. so how could he find a rabbit not cute? right, impossible.

"yeah... he's cute..." renjun gave in, unable to resist his boyfriend's charms (once again).

"so, he deserves cuddles like i do?" jeno spoke again.

"well..." renjun hesitated, not really fan of the idea of cuddling this weird rabbit.

"it's a package deal. twice more cuteness." jeno explained, placing the rabbit next to his face. "an adorably cute little rabbit... and an amazing boyfriend..."

renjun looked between the rabbit and his boyfriend, his heart melting at the sight of the two.

he couldn't deny it, they were so fucking cute, and as much as he doubted this rabbit, this sight of the two of them just made him want to wrap them in a giant blanket and cuddle them forever.

and who was renjun to say no to such a proposition...?

"then i'm taking the package deal." he smiled at them, making jeno shout in happiness before he scooted closer to his boyfriend, causing nana to be cuddled comfortably in between them – even though renjun tried to ignore its presence.

"stop staring at me like that."

a few seconds passed during which the room stayed almost silent, the only background noise being the water from the shower running a few rooms aside.

"i said stop."

another few seconds of silence followed, and the chinese male couldn't help but let out a groan, his eyes falling on the white furry animal that had been staring at him for the past minutes while he was peacefully sitting on the sofa, waiting for his boyfriend to come out of the shower.

"why the hell are you staring at me?" renjun asked with a brow raised, not expecting an answer from the rabbit.

and effectively, the rabbit stayed silent. instead of giving a verbal answer, it hopped in renjun's direction until it was sitting on renjun's lap, making the chinese male tense up immediately.

"what are you doing?!" he squeaked, lifting the rabbit up and placing it back on the sofa. "don't jump on me!"

if rabbits could smirk, nana would definitely have smirked as he immediately jumped back on renjun's lap, causing him to push him off again.

"stop that!" renjun scolded it, pushing it with more force, but whatever he did, the rabbit always came back to sit down on his lap, frustrating him even more.

after pushing the rabbit away ten times, renjun had reached his maximum level of frustration, and he didn't hesitate to grab the rabbit under its front legs and lift it in the air so that they could look into each other's eyes.

"i hope that you are aware that the sole reason why you aren't in my stomach yet is because jeno loves you dearly, huh? because i won't hesitate one single second to put you in a pot and season you with rosemary and pepper!" the chinese male muttered – not too loud in case jeno could hear.

as if the rabbit had understood those words, his ears that were previously perked up suddenly flapped down and his eyes widened slightly, as those of a human would have.

renjun's eyes never left the animal, analysing each and every of its actions.

he had to admit, jeno was right, nana could be cute. right now, for example, with its scard eyes and its flappy ears, he looked adorable, and renjun would have cuddled and reassured him if the rabbit didn't have this annoying behaviour.

"i know there's something wrong with you..." renjun spoke in a low voice, studying the rabbit from the tip of its ears to its pom-pom tail. "there has to be... why would mister na own an animal like you...? and why the hell would his wife give you out for free...?"

these questions were still in renjun's mind. they had always been, and they would always be as long as he didn't find an answer to them.

and the fact these questions were permanently printed in renjun's mind was mostly what prevented him to like the rabbit as much as jeno would like him too. sure, renjun tried making efforts when jeno was around because he didn't want to pain his boyfriend, but he secretly dreamed of throwing the rabbit out and stop questioning himself about what could be wrong with it. his mind had been too clouded with this matter for the past three weeks, and he wanted it to stop.

"i'll find what's wrong with you, trust me..." renjun told, putting the rabbit on the floor by the couch. "and when i'll tell jeno about it, he'll be feeling so betrayed that he'll stop loving you as much as he does."
