The Black Puddle Queen Pt. 2
You couldn't see anything. You had been swimming for a while now. The breathing mask Liz had given you helped to let you breathe underwater. The lightstick also helped, but not much.
The black water was so dark that you couldn't see anything two inches from the lightstick. And to make matters worse, you couldn't see where you had entered.
You were completely on your own to find everyone. And then there was the thing behind it all.
The sea witch that Courage had warned you about.
Whatever it was, you needed to be ready. It had your friends they need your help. Time to be a hero or whatever.
You just wish you knew where you were going.
Power Up!
Bubbles sighed as she read over her script. Today had been a weird day. Some of the stage techs didn't show up so they couldn't do much in Drama. And to make matters worse, her sisters were still at each other's throats.
She had no idea what was happening with Blossom and Buttercup, but she knew better than to get in the middle of it.
So, she decided to avoid them both. It was for the best.
Still, she wished they would get along. They've fought before in the past, but this was different. It was like Buttercup didn't even know what she was fighting for. Blossom really did just start taking bites at her out of the blue.
Blossom was bitter about something. She didn't know what. Well, she could take a few guesses.
She figured it had something to do with the fact that you asked Buttercup to the dance. Bubbles knew that her sisters both liked you. She saw you more as a good friend than a crush, honestly, but she did see why they would be interested.
You were a great guy. Always so nice and you were quite handsome. But she also knew that you were unaware of other's feelings towards you. She didn't think it was because you were oblivious to it either. She couldn't quite explain it, but she felt like there was something going on in your head.
Still, her sisters were fighting. She didn't know why for sure, but maybe she should get you to talk to them.
Now if only you would answer your phone.
---------------
Your phone rang on your bed.
You were no where near it.
You swam deeper into the water, unaware of the shadowry figure swimming nearby. You just focused on swimming down until you found some kind of bottom.
And, you just did.
You spotted the many rocks on the bottom of the seemingly endless body of water. You landed, and your jacket immediately made it so that you could walk on the ground.
You looked around but still saw nothing. Still, you walked forward. However, as you did, you felt the rocks shift and move under your feet. You held your light to them and took a closer look.
Your eyes grew wide when you realized that they weren't rocks.
They were skulls.
You immediately floated off of them and looked again to see that the entire floor was covered with them.
You then heard something swim behind you. You turned around and caught a quick glimpse at the creature.
It swam away into the darkness. You turned and swam as fast as you could to try and get away from it.
It circled around you and dove for an attack. You managed to dodge the creature and tried to shoot it with your lasers. It managed to avoid being hit and swam back into the darkness.
You looked around frantically to see if you could find it, but it was gone. You turned and continued to swim.
Eventually, you spotted something in the distance. You swam towards it to discover that it was a underwater castle of some kind. That looked promising.
You swam towards the open door where you found a pocket of air. You eyed it suspiciously before you swam along.
You found yourself inside of the castle which was full of rusty suits of armor and ruined oil paintings. You looked around before you spotted a rusty sword. You swam over and grabbed it.
Y/N: This might come in handy if that fish monster shows up again.
You tucked it into your belt and swam along. As you explored the castle, you used your light to examine your surroundings. It worked a lot better here. You could actually see things.
You eventually reached what could be considered as the throne room. It was here that you made a startling discovery.
You found everyone who had gone missing. All males raging from all ages. They were bound by a chain that connected to their ankles. Their heads were surrounded by air bubbles. They were all unconscious.
You looked around before you spotted Mitch. You swam up to him to check on him. He didn't seem like he was hurt. Actually, he didn't seem like he was really affected by any of this. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully.
At least there was that.
However, you did notice something around his neck. You reached out and examined it closer.
It was a necklace, made of seashells. Looking around, you could see that everyone else had seashell necklaces as well.
Not only that, but Mitch was the only one wearing more than just his underwear. Everyone else was...pretty much naked.
Now you were uncomfortable.
Y/N: How am I going to get everyone out of here?
You looked around before you spotted something. You swam down towards the side of the throne. There, you found a large mirror. Looking through it, you found that you were watching the stars.
Wait, you knew where this was. This was the lake in the park! She must use this to teleport to different bodies of water.
If you could get everyone, you could send them through this.
Now you needed to act before that fish witch shows up.
???: Where are you going?
You turned around and suddenly found someone right in front of you.
Black Puddle Queen: Stay with me. Stay here with me.
She reached out and placed her hands on your cheeks. You tried to pull away, but she was stronger than you thought she'd be.
Black Puddle Queen: Stay with me. Join me. Let me love you.
She moved closer, but you managed to break her grip. You then pulled out the rusty sword. She seemed confused, but you swung the blade, right it into Mitch's chains.
She screamed out which suddenly woke Mitch. He looked around frantically as his air bubble vanished. He began to panic at the lack of air, but you quickly swam to him and handed him another breathing mask.
He finally calmed down and you gave him the sword. You motioned for him to break the chains and send everyone towards the mirror. He nodded and got to work.
You, meanwhile, turned back to the sea witch.
She did not look happy.
She actually looked a lot like that sea monster from earlier and ohhhhhhhh....yeah, that made sense.
It hissed and began to swim right towards you.
--------------
Liz and Courage stared at the open bathroom door in worry.
You had been down there for a while now. It was night time and there was still no sign of you.
Liz: I hope he's okay.
Buttercup: You hope who's okay?
Liz and Courage both jumped at the voice. Buttercup walked out of your room looking a bit confused. Liz quickly stood up while Courage closed the bathroom door.
Liz: B-Buttercup? What are you doing here? How did you get in?
Buttercup: Y/N always leaves the window open for me. Is it a bad time?
Liz and Courage looked at each other. Liz then turned back to Buttercup.
Liz: Yes, actually. It is. Can you come back, uh, tomorrow?
Buttercup: Sure? Is everything okay? You two seem a bit...
Liz: We're all good!
Courage: <Nothing to worry about here!>
Buttercup just looked at them oddly.
---------------
You swam out of the way just as the monster charged towards you.
It slammed into the wall while you swam away. Mitch had most of the people cut free and gathered by the mirror.
He only had Double D and Wally left. He quickly swam towards them and held the sword firmly.
As he tried to break them free, you found yourself face to face with the monster. It opened it's massive jaws and went to bite you, but you caught it.
You held it's mouth open as it pushed you against a wall. You could actually feel it's hot breath through the water. It continued to try and push forward.
You tried to use your lasers, but it simply pulled away to avoid them. They didn't seem to be as strong underwater. That could be a problem.
You eventually pulled an arm free and swung at it. You managed to land a punch which helped avoid you being bitten. You kicked the creature away and swam up towards the roof.
Once your feet landed on the roof, you looked back down. The creature swam right towards you, but you pushed off of the roof.
The creature rammed into the roof which caused it to start to cave in. You managed to avoid the falling rock as you swam back to Mitch and the others.
Mitch: I hope he knows how to use this.
Y/N: I have no idea how to use this!
You grabbed a hold of the mirror to avoid floating away. You examined it closely before you tapped the glass. It reacted. You looked at it with wide eyes. You then placed your hand against it.
It sunk in like you were pushing it through jello. You and Mitch both looked at each other. You then started to push as many people as you can through the mirror. The monster struggled to escape it's rocky tomb, but you moved faster.
You managed to push the last person through the mirror, leaving only you and Mitch left. You moved your hand over the mirror which now showed your bathroom. Perfect.
You were about to go through, but the monster broke through. You and Mitch turned around to see that it was now much, much angrier.
Mitch: Aw, crap!
Y/N: Are you kidding me?!
The monster swam right towards you. You and Mitch managed to get out of the way before it could catch you. You managed to hit it with one of your lasers which made it scream out.
Mitch used the opening to swing his sword. He managed to cut the creature which made it swim off into the shadows.
You grabbed Mitch and signaled to the mirror. He nodded and you both swam to it. Mitch managed to get through first, and you followed closely behind.
Before long, you were both back in your apartment. You both landed on the bathroom floor. The noise alerted Liz and Courage who both swung the door open.
Liz held a rolling pin and Courage held a pan.
Liz: Where is it?!
You quickly began to drain the tub. You spat out your breathing mask and turned to Liz.
Y/N: Make sure there's no way she can get....
There was a clatter in the kitchen. You all looked towards it to see a hand rise from the sink. You all looked at Liz.
Liz: I forgot about the dishes.
You quickly jumped to your feet while Mitch held his sword. You both pushed Liz and Courage behind you as the hand turned into an arm. Before long, the sea witch emerged in full.
Mitch: Are you kidding me?!
Y/N: Hey, it's alright. This is our turf. We can take care of......
Courage: AHHHHHHHHH!
You suddenly found Courage running towards the sea witch. It growled at it, but Courage swung his pan at her.
He managed to get her right across the face. She fell onto the ground and Courage continued to hit her with the pan. Liz picked him up as he continued to try and hit the witch.
You and Mitch walked over and looked down at the witch.
Black Puddle Queen: Spare me! Spare me, please!
You and Mitch looked at each other. You then looked back down at her.
Y/N: You want to be spared? Go home, and never take another person from Townsville. Got it?
Black Puddle Queen: Yes! I will Spare Townsville!
You picked her up and tossed her back towards the kitchen. She then crawled back into the sink. Almost immediately, the water turned back to being clear.
The four of you watched it for a moment, they you all let out a collective sigh.
All well that ends well, right?
Mitch: Oh, wait. I just realized something.
You turned to him.
Mitch: Is everyone naked in the park right now?
You stood there blankly.
---------------
You fixed your backpack as you walked through the halls. They seemed to be a lot more full now. Honestly, you were happy. Everyone made it back home just fine.
After you and Mitch pushed them through the mirror, a police officer happened to be passing by. He called in the mass of near naked bodies that seemingly popped up out of nowhere.
They all gave their testimonies regarding the Black Puddle Queen. After a quick investigation, they confirmed this to be true.
The fact that you and Mitch saved them went under the radar. You didn't really care. You were just happy that everyone was safe.
Mitch noticed you and waved. You smiled and walked over.
Mitch: Looks like everything worked out in the end.
Y/N: Yeah. Seems like it.
Mitch: Do you have a plan incase that witch comes back?
You nodded. You reached into your pocket and pulled out the seashell you had left over.
Y/N: If she comes back, I'll be ready. This time, I'll make sure she gets what's coming.
Mitch smiled. He threw an arm around you and you both smirked as you walked to class.
