Y/N was working on her skills as she is part of the "C" squad hoping one day she would become part of the "B" squad. She heard her name in the com and went to the command center wonder why she is being called to be there for. When she got to the command center, she salutes to the commander who is the dog alien named Doggie Cruger.

"Sir?" Y/N asked.

"Cadet L/N, I am partner you with Cadet Tate as part of your training," Cruger said.

Sky looked surprised but he is not happy to have a partner with Y/N as part of her training. Y/N looked at Sky and can see that Sky is not happy.

"Sir, why does she need to be a partner with me?" Sky asked.

"Because you are one of the top cadets that can help Cadet L/N and teach her what she needs to know," Cruger said.

"Yes sir," Sky said as he doesn't want to disobey his commander's orders.

Both Y/N and Sky salutes to Cruger and leaves the command center. Y/N followed Sky to the training room. When they got to the training room, Sky turns around and look at Y/N.

"I don't trust you at this moment," Sky said, "I don't understand why Commander wants you to be a partner with me."

"Me either but I am sure he has a good reason for this," Y/N said.

"Probably," Sky said, "I want to see how well you did in combat training."

"Alright," Y/N said.

Sky walked to the control panel and looked at Y/N who just walk to the middle. Y/N gave a thumb up saying she is ready. Sky starts the training on as Y/N begins to fight against the holograms. Sky looked to impress with Y/N's combats skills. Y/N manage to complete her combats training and pants softly as Sky turn it off.

"Not bad," Sky said.

"T-thanks," Y/N panted.

"But you still got a long way to go before you could join my squad, Y/N," Sky said.

"Yes sir," Y/N said.

Sky turns off the command panel and turns to leaves.

"Get rest as tomorrow I will help you to work on your further skills," Sky said as he left the training room.

"Yes sir," Y/N said as she is not sure what is Sky's problems.

The next day, Y/N is waiting for Sky in the lodge room. Sky walked to the lodge room and see Y/N waiting for him.

"Good morning sir," Y/N said.

"Good morning Cadet L/N," Sky said, "You will be joining me on the patrol."

"Yes sir," Y/N said.

Sky and Y/N walked down to the jeep and get in. Sky drove the jeep around in Newtech City. Y/N was watching for any problem. She was thinking about Sky and want to ask him some questions.

"Sir?" Y/N asked.

"Yes?" Sky asked.

"Why you don't like me?" Y/N asked before yelped when the Jeep lost the control.

Sky lost the control of driving the Jeep before he manages to stop the Jeep from crashing into anything. Y/N looked scared but think it was not a good idea to ask him that question while in the jeep.

"Sorry..." Y/N said softly.

"It's not your fault. It's just your question startled me," Sky said, "I actually didn't trust you but after seeing your combat. You did well. More like better than me."

"W-wait. You mean that I am better than you?" Y/N asked.

"Yes. I just don't know how to say it without hurting you," Sky said.

"Oh," Y/N said before looking out the window.

Sky continued to drive while Y/N looking out as neither of them are speaking after having an awkward conversation. There is no trouble on the street so they are headed back. When they got back to the Delta Base, Y/N and Sky gets out of the jeep. Sky told Y/N that she can take day off. Y/N nodded and went to her room. Sky is planning to give a small gift to Y/N for apologizing since he did almost crash earlier while out on the street.

The next day, Y/N was in the lodge since she doesn't have any work at the moment. Sky was looking for her and found her in the lodge. Y/N didn't see Sky coming in. Sky walked to behind the chair and taps on her shoulder.

"Yes?" Y/N asked.

"Can we go for a walk?" Sky asked.

"Oh! Sure," Y/N said as she turns her head to see Sky.

Sky walked out of the lodge as Y/N gets up and follows Sky. They were walking while in silence before Sky came to stop. Y/N stops as she looked at him.

"I... want to apologize to you about what happened yesterday," Sky said.

"It's ok," Y/N said.

"Ok. Here is the gift," Sky said as he handed it to her.

Y/N opened the gift and see a bracelet. She looked at him.

"Is this for me?" Y/N asked.

"Yeah," Sky said.

"Thank you," Y/N said as she gave him a hug.
