Shelby POV

So me, Chase, Koda, Riley, and Tyler have been rangers for about 2 months now and I may have a crush on a certain hotshot. Me and Chase were on patrol when a beam came out of no where and hit me. There was a blinding light and then I was in a cage above a pool of lava.

Chase POV

A monster walked out after Shelby disappeared.

"Where's my friend", I yelled at the monster.

"Here she is", the monster showed me a mirror and it had a image of Shelby in a cage over lava.

The monster disappeared. I ran back to the base my mind thinking about a million things. I like Shelby. Does she like me back? How am I going to find her? Where is she? Should I tell the others that I like her? I got to the base and got my mind straight. Kendall had a worried look on her face and she was looking at her tablet. The only ones in the base were me, Tyler, Koda, Kendall, and Keeper.

"Where's Riley", I said.

"He captured", Koda said.

Kendall showed me her tablet and I saw Riley and Shelby in cages above a pool of lava.

"How was he captured", I said.

"A beam came out of nowhere and the a monster came out and showed him in the cage ahove lava in a mirror", Tyler said.

"Same as Shelby", I said.

"Guys I have a confession to make... I like Shelby", I blurted out.

They looked at me jaws touching the floor not literally.

"They are in the volcano on the island", Kendall said.

"Thanks", I said and we ran out of the base.

"We're coming guys", I said.

Shelby POV

I looked across to Riley who was standing up and looking at something on the ground.

"Riley what are you looking at", I said.

"The control panel", Riley said.

I just stood up and my mind was wondering. I like Chase. Does he like me the same way? Will he find us? Will me and Riley make it out of this? I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt the cage go down.

"Ahh", I yelled.

"Umph", I said when the cage stopped and I fell to my knees.

I was close to the lava now.

Chase POV

I heard someone scream and could tell it was Shelby. I ran into the cave and found where the others were.

"Guys", I yelled.

"Chase", they said and Shelby smiled.

I ran over to the control panel and found the button that covered the lava. I lowered the cages and then ran over and unlocked the cages. After I helped Riley out Shelby ran over to me and crashed her lips on mine. At first I was shocked but then I kissed back and wrapped my arms around her waist. We pulled apart and our foreheads were touching.

"I like you Shelby", I said.

"I like you too", Shelby said.

"omg", Riley said.

"What just happened", Tyler said.

"I told you I like her and I take it she likes me", I said and smirked.

"I do", Shelby said and giggled.

I smirked and hugged her and then we headed back to the base. Then we headed to the park.

Shelby POV

We were at the park and Chase was using my lap as a pillow and I was running my hand through his hair and watching Riley, Koda, and Tyler passing a soccer ball around. We were probably there for 2 hours and then it got dark and Chase thougt it would be nice if he walked me home. I held his hand and we walked to my house. I unlocked the door and kissed him on the cheek befo shutting the door and going to bed.

This had to be the best day of my life.
