Bella's POV

I was standing at the lab table with Tyler and Koda, watching Shelby and Kendall take apart what was left of the e-tracer. Kendall pulled out a clump of wires that were black and charred. "Our beautiful e-tracer, up in smoke." Shelby said, sadly. Koda's stomach growls randomly.

"Sorry, I very hungry." Koda says, apologetically. "It's okay Koda. I ordered pizza a while ago." Kendall reassures Koda.

"Chase went to go get it." I add.

"So, Fury knows where the Ptera zord is, but will he tell Sledge?" Shelby asked, bringing us back on the problem ahead of us.

"Sledge doesn't care about the zord unless it leads him to the gold energem." Kendall countered.

"But Fury betrayed Poisandra, so it means that Sledge can't trust him anymore-" I started, but Tyler cut me off.

"Whoa, whoa wait. I am so confused, what's our next step?" Tyler asked.

"Maybe we eat." Koda suggested and we all smiled.

"I think I solved it." Riley started and we all turned to Riley. "We need to look at the problem logically. Sledge, Poisandra, Fury." Riley starts while holding up different colored marbles for each monster. We all walk towards him and towards his marble run track. "Now, they each take their own paths chasing after power, love, maybe revenge." Riley says and drops his marbles into the marble run construction. "But, there is one thing that all of them need first." "The energems." Shelby answered.

"Exactly. Their only chance of getting an energem is with a very powerful weapon, like the Ptera zord. Different paths all leading to one conclusion." Riley concluded as the three marbles fell into their final spot.

"So, they've got to power up the Ptera charger." Tyler said. Riley nodded.

"But there is only one lab like ours with equipment strong enough to be able to energize a dino charger." Kendall answered.

"Then logically, that lab is where we start." Riley said, concluding our first step to get the Ptera charger back from Fury.

"I'll look up the coordinates of the lab." I said, having a brief idea of where the lab is. At the laptop, I scanned the city area and found the lab. I transfer the coordinates to my Dino com and put them on a map to get us there. "Got it." I state. The others look at me once I spoke up.

"Okay. Let's head out." Tyler said. We grabbed our energems on the way out and I lead the way to the lab. We all rush towards the lab. When we reach the lab, we see Chase fighting a monster by himself near the entrance of the building. Chase gets knocked into a giant chess board and the pieces that Chase hits fall to the ground.

"Chase!" Shelby shouts as we run into the courtyard and towards our friend.

"Yikes, probably more rangers!" The monster shouts and runs into the lab building while we rush to Chase's aid.

"Chase, you okay?" Koda asks while Tyler helps Chase up.

"I'm fine. Puzzler just caught me by surprise with that last attack." Chase replied.

"Fury must be in there with the Ptera charger." Riley points out the only reason why one of Sledge's monsters would be here and not somewhere else where he could cause chaos. "Well, let's pay him a visit." Tyler said and we start to file into the lab. We walked into the building and it definitely looked like no one's been there in years with the dust collecting up, along with the things around here looked beat up.

"This looks like no one's been here in years." I commented, taking in the surroundings. "We have to find that lab and fast." Tyler instructed us.

"Let's split up." Riley suggested and the rest of us took off into different hallways. I sprint down the hall and push the window's curtain aside, only to find them covered in bricks.

"That's weird." I say to myself, not knowing why this building's windows would be blocked. I continued down the hallway, and looked at the only turn out. I take the right turn to another hallway and as I walk down the hall, I notice that I'm in the same exact hallway. "What?" I ask myself. I decide to mark the hall somehow and take the curtains off of the window. I dropped them to the ground and continued down the hallway. I take the same right turn and find myself in the same hallway. The window doesn't have curtains on it and it's in the same spot where I dropped it. "It's some kind of looping illusion." I concluded. I continued to try and find some way out, but give up soon. I kept walking around because the temperature started to drop and I was starting to shiver. My Dino com rang and I picked up the call and saw that Riley was calling the rest of us in a group call.

"Guys can you hear me?" Riley asked.

"Loud and clear." I reply, trying to keep my teeth from chattering.

"I'm here, but I have no idea where here is." Tyler added, implying that he was also in a loop. "It is so cold."

"I keep running up the same staircase, trying to keep warm." Shelby said, telling us how she's attempting to keep warm.

"I'm stuck in a loop too." Chase adds.

"I still hungry." Koda said, pointing out that he needs food.

"Listen, I found a way out---" Riley starts but the connection is cut off by static. I look down as the dino com and see that the dino com is losing its signal, while starting to freeze over.

"Now is not a good time for something to screw with my dino com." I grumbled and shook the dino com to attempt to get some signal back on it. I sigh, regretting leaving my phone in my room. It keeps getting colder and colder and I've given up walking around and decided to sit in a corner to try and contain my body heat to hopefully not freeze to death. I wrap arms around myself, and try to stay warm. I tried using my new mermaid powers to heat the room up but I could only do it periodically for a short amount of time. Hopefully someone finds a way to communicate to get us out of the freezing building.

Third Person's POV

As soon as the Dino com's connection broke, Riley looked back at the vent opening and decided that he would need to get out before he could help his friends find their way out of the looping maze. He jumped into the vent system and started to crawl through it to find a way out. He turned down a corner and suddenly heard a loud roar along with an ominous bright orange glow emitting into the vents. Wondering what it was, Riley got closer to the vent. "I can't believe it's working!" He heard Wrench exclaim and Riley looked down into the room below him. "The Ptera charger is gaining power and fast." Riley couldn't believe his eyes, he saw Fury strapped to a chair and there were wires connecting him to the Ptera charger and there was an orange mass of energy trying to escape Fury's body. It looked like that mass was charging the Ptera charger. Riley suddenly realized that this must've been what Tyler was talking about yesterday when he was fighting Fury.

"I can't control it any longer!" Fury shouted.

"Just a little bit more." Wrench told Fury. Fury held off a bit more and let the Ptera charger gain more power.

"Turn it off!" Fury shouted and ripped the wires off of him. He sat up and Wrench pulled the Ptera charger out of its place.

"It worked!" Wrench informed Fury.

"Give me the charger." Fury growled and snatched the charger from Wrench's hands. Fury left the room, with Wrench looking at him.

"What just happened?" Wrench asked. I'm wondering the same thing... Riley thought and continued down the vent system. Riley reaches the roof and walks out quietly, hearing Puzzler's voice.

"I already caught the rangers in my never ending maze." Puzzler informed someone. Riley closed the vent quietly and began to make his way towards the monster.

"Good work. Once I get the Ptera zord, I'll have it and the rangers. Sledge is going to beg me to come back. Finally, he'll understand that I am his most trusted general." Fury announced and Riley's dino com went off. He picked it up to see Kendall calling him.

"Riley, what is going on? I haven't been able to contact any of the other rangers." Kendall demanded an explanation.

"Okay, I found the Ptera charger but Fury has it and it's full of power." Riley informed the scientist.

"You've got to get that charger." Kendall told Riley.

"But the others are trapped, I have to-" Riley started to protest but Kendall stopped him.

"Riley, you may not get another chance. You said it yourself, we've got to do the most logical thing and right now that means stopping Fury." Kendall pointed out to the green ranger. Riley hung up and rounded a corner to avoid Fury seeing him, because he was walking in Riley's direction. Riley looked between Puzzler and Fury, needing to make a choice quickly.

"I can't leave my friends." Riley decided and faced Puzzler to try and free his friends. Riley threatened Puzzler and the monster demanded a chess match to free his friends. Riley began to bluff during the game and threw 5 marbles in the vent behind Puzzler and the vent behind him to lead his friends out of the maze.

Bella's POV

In the silent hallway where the only noise was my teeth chattering, but that was soon interrupted. Something pinged down the hallway and rolled next to me. I picked it up to see that it was a yellow marble, one of Riley's marbles. I look around and notice that the marble came out from the vent. I grin.

"R-Riley, y-you g-genius." I say to myself, my teeth chattering. I get back on my feet after putting the marble in my pocket. I pulled off the vent covering and climbed in quickly, sighing in happiness, when the vents were so much warmer that the hallway I was stuck in. I continue down the vent system and find myself following the daylight out to the roof. I push the vent door open and find myself at the roof. I grin and send Riley a thankful look as he continues to distract Puzzler. The others start filing on to the roof, no longer shivering from the cold.

"Ha, I win. Now give me your energem." Puzzler demanded.

"Oh, I don't think so. You see the game wasn't chess..." Riley started. "Surprise." We interrupted and Puzzler turned around to face us in shock.

"The game was to escape the maze." Riley finished his statement from before.

"Inconceivable!" Puzzler exclaims.

"Oh, that reminds me. Checkmate." Riley said and finished the game, winning.

"What? How could I miss that move?" Puzzler whipped around to face the game they were playing. Riley regrouped with the rest of us.

"Dino chargers!" Riley led us to our morph. We all followed his lead and pulled out our own chargers and activated them.

"Ready!" We shouted and loaded the activated chargers to our dino morpher blasters. "Energize, Unleash the power!" We morphed into our battle modes.

"I'm done playing games!" Puzzler shouted and flipped over the chessboard. He headed down a level back on ground level and we stood at the edge of the roof, looking down at him. "Check out my game pieces." Puzzler told us and vivix surrounded him.

"It's going to take a lot more than that!" Tyler shouted at him. "Tyrannosaurus Rex, Power Ranger Red!" Tyler introduced himself.

"Parasaur, Power Ranger Black!" Chase introduced himself after Tyler.

"Stegosaurus, Power Ranger Blue!" Koda continued.

"Brachiosaurus, Power Ranger Yellow!" I said after Koda.

"Velociraptor, Power Ranger Green!" Riley said.

"Triceratops, Power Ranger Pink!" Shelby finished.

"Dinosaur might..." We started and bent down to hit the ground. "Ready to fight!" We all said in unison. "Power Rangers Dino Charge!" We all took our final stances.

"It's about to get wild!" Tyler signaled us to go into the fight and we did just that. We all jumped and flipped to join Puzzler and the vivix on the floor. As soon as I land, vivix surround me. I kick a vivix and I pull out my Dino morpher blaster. I continue to fight the vivix and blast them with power blasts.

"You were right, you do always lose!" Chase said. I flipped backwards and blasted a vivix before it could try and attack me again.

"What do you guys think, do these guys just keep getting easier to fight?" Riley asked as we all fought through the vivix.

"I think that we just get better." I answered as I punched a vivix down. "Riley, Bella you make monster angrier." Koda informed us and kept fighting Puzzler. Once the last vivix disintegrated, we joined Koda.

"That hurt!" Puzzler said as he fell back from Koda's blast.

"Nice shooting Koda." Shelby complimented Koda as we approached him.

"Guys, I very hungry." Koda informed us, needing food.

"You have to do better than that to beat this game." Puzzler said and got up off of the ground.

"Tyler, combine powers." Koda told Tyler, so he could end this problem.

"Right, time for this game to be over." Tyler said and handed Koda one of his Dino chargers.

"Thanks." Koda told Tyler. He activated the charger and loaded it to his dino morpher blaster.

T-Rex Charger Engaged

"Energize, dino morpher blaster final strike." Koda says and attacks Puzzler with the last attack. Puzzler shouts in agony and explodes. Suddenly the sky goes dark and purple lightning crashes through the sky. It was unnatural and we dreaded what was possibly coming with this unnatural storm.

"Oh no..." Tyler mutters.

"The Ptera zord!" Shelby says in disbelief as the zord flies into view. "Fury must have control of it."

"We cannot hurt friend." Koda said, knowing that this is nothing that any of us wanted to do to a fellow zord.

"We don't have a choice. Brachi-Raptor formation?" Tyler suggested and Riley and I nodded, ready for the new formation. The three of us pulled out chargers.

"Summon zords!" The three summoned and threw our activated chargers to our zords.

Dino Chargers Engaged

The megazord formed and we teleported to the cockpit of the zord. "Dino charge megazord, Brachi-Raptor formation. Ready." Tyler said and we took our stances and plugged in our Dino morpher blasters into our stands. "Here we go." Tyler said wearily. The Ptera zord shoots lightning around us and we barely manage to dodge them. Unexpectedly, the magna-beam rains down from the sky and Puzzler is revived again as a bigger monster.

"I'm at the top of my game!" Puzzler shouts after becoming a mega-monster. Puzzler uses his staff and attacks us and the Ptera zord attacks us from behind, shaking us around in the cockpit. "We're in it to win it!" Puzzler comments, claiming that him and Ptera zord will take us down.

"We won't be able to take much more of this." Shelby said as we all gained our footing again. "Who do we fight?" Koda asked our leader.

"Let's deal with this one problem at a time." Tyler said and decided that we should take down Puzzler first then deal with the Ptera zord. We took our stances again and pulled out our Dino morpher blasters from their stands.

"Dino charge megazord, final strike!" We summoned the attack. "Brachi-Raptor final blast!" We said and the powers of the zords combined and launched at Puzzler. The attack caused Puzzler to be shot up into the sky and towards the Ptera zord. The Ptera zord attacks Puzzler and he gets destroyed by the zord.

"Ptera zord must have thought it was being attacked." Tyler pointed out. The Ptera zord disposed of the charger and leaves to go back to his habitat.

We all demorph and send the zords back home and start to head back to base. I stopped Tyler, pulling him back.

"Let's go get lunch." I said and grabbed his hand. We laced our fingers together somewhat unknowingly, and hurried to the pizza place. We got food and headed back to base.

Third Person's POV

"I was so close to get the Ptera charger back." Riley said as he talked to Keeper, while sitting at the table. "I wish I could've stopped Fury."

"Going after Fury would've been the logical decision but-" Keeper started.

"It wouldn't have been the best decision." Kendall finished Keeper's thought.

"You save your tribe." Koda told the green ranger as he, Chase and Shelby walked into base. "Act with heart." Koda says and pats Riley's chest, right at his heart.

"I agree, especially since I'm in that tribe." Chase told Riley.

"We all are." Shelby said. Koda gives Riley a tight hug as Tyler and Bella walk in with pizza boxes in hand.

"Anybody want food?" Bella asked, walking over to the lab table.

"Finally, food!" Koda excalims and rushes towards Bella.

"Leave some for us Koda." Kendall says playfully. Everyone but Riley gathers around Bella and Tyler notices. He sits down with Riley.

"What's up?" Tyler asked, concerned about his friend.

"I'm good." Riley replies, but continues anyway. "When I was in the duct, I saw Fury. That energy thing that you saw trying to escape Fury, I saw it too."

"You saw it too. What do you think it is?" Tyler asked, curious to see what else Riley may have found out about this mystery energy thing.

"I don't know, but it looked like Fury was draining its energy to charge the ptera charger." Riley answered.

"Whatever it is, we have to free it or stop it." Tyler claimed. "Before Fury uses it to destroy us all." "Guys, I want to show you something." Bella said. "Ok. What is it?" Kendall asked. Bella looked around and saw some beakers with water in them. She raised her hand to it and lifted some of the water from the beaker. Everyone looked at it with shock and awe. Bella made the water come to her, then she let the water drop onto her hand. She started to count to 10 with everyone getting curious looks on their faces. Then when Bella got to 10, she shifted into her mermaid form and fell to the floor, since she could not stand upright on her tail. Everyone gasped loudly. "Is that what I think that is?" Shelby asked. "Wow," Chase said. "You're a mermaid?" "Correct." Bella said. Ms. Morgan bent down and said, "This is real?" "Yes," Bella answered. "You can touch my tail if you want." Ms. Morgan nodded and ran her hand along Bella's tail. "So when you come into contact with water, you change into a mermaid?" Tyler asked. "Yes, it's a resent development. I fell into a moon pool on Mako Island with my friend Frankie." Bella answered. "Awesome." Tyler said.

That night, Tyler and Bella were hanging out when someone came and grabbed him. "Who are you?" He asked. "You'll find out soon enough." The person said as he sank his fangs into Tyler's neck and started drinking his blood. Tyler screamed in pain then started moaning in pleasure. "It feels so good." he said. The person retracted his fangs as Tyler fell limp under him then bit into his wrist. "Now drink, Tyler." he said. 'Is it possible?' Bella thought as Tyler started drinking the person's blood. "That's enough, Tyler," the person said after a minute and left.
