Bella's POV

 "Hey Bella, where is that volcanic cave again? The Sampson Cave. A visitor is asking." Chase asked in the museum common link as I walked towards Dino Bite Cafe.

"About 15 miles off of the city. It's where we found the T-Rex fossil. Don't forget to meet me at the cafe." I reminded him. I walked into the cafe and told Shelby, the waitress, my order. Shelby and I talked quite often, she seemed so interested in dinosaurs and wanted in on digs a lot, but after the incident on finding my energem a month ago, Kendall decided that whenever the 3 of us go on digs to look for energems we shouldn't take anybody else. We don't want to risk any innocent civilians getting hurt. I sat patiently in Dino Bite Cafe waiting for Chase, cause he agreed to let me drive the truck to our next digging site if I bought him some food. Chase finally walked into the cafe and he walked over to me.

"I see you bought me some food." He said, sitting down.

"You better hold up your promise about letting me drive the truck, or your skateboard will get it." I threatened him, just in case he backs out at the last minute. He passed me the truck's keys, holding up his end of the deal. I grinned and noticed Chase watching Shelby.

"She keeps glancing over here. Maybe she finally wants to go on a date." Chase commented cockily and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't count on it." I said. "Come on, Kendall wants us to leave soon to check out the triceratops fossil." I said as Chase finished up. We walked out of the cafe and pulled on headphones and I put in my earbuds, but I kept one out of an ear so I could still hear the surroundings around me. Chase pushed a cart filled with equipment we needed for our dig and I walked next to him, spinning the truck keys around a finger.

"Chase, Bella! Wait up!" I heard Shelby shout and I stopped walking and grabbed Chase's arm to catch his attention. I jerked my head towards Shelby, signaling the approaching girl. Chase stopped walking as well and took his headphones off. I tugged my earbuds off as well and let them lay around the back of my neck.

"Hey Sheri, are you bringing me a present?" Chase asked, glancing at the brown paper bag in her hand.

"It's Shelby." Shelby corrected Chase and I gave her a smile. "So Chase, Bella. Going fossil hunting?" Shelby asked, looking over the stuff we had on the cart. I nodded, answering her question.

"Yup," I started. "It's supposed to be a great find." Shelby picked up the tablet off of the cart that had a picture of the triceratops fossil that we were going to go check out in hopes to find the pink energem. "The triceratops! You're both digging up my favorite dinosaur. See it's right here." Shelby said and motioned to her Dino Bite Cafe name tag that had her name and a silhouette of a triceratops printed on it. "Let's cut to the chase, and go catch a movie." Chase asked and I rolled my eyes at the pick up line.

"Does that line work on New Zealand girls?" Shelby asked, clearly shutting him down.

"Nope, doesn't work on them either." Chase replied and continued to push the cart. I walked with him.

"Instead of a movie, why don't you take me on the dig?" Shelby asked Chase, following the both of us towards the loading deck where Koda was lifting up boxes and putting them in the truck.

"Sorry, no can do. Museum policy." Chase answered her question.

"Sorry Shelby." I apologized to her and ran to catch up with Chase. I glanced back over my shoulder and saw Shelby approach Koda with the brown paper bag. I smiled when Koda grabbed the bag and ate the bronto burger. Shelby sighed and sat down on a big crate. Koda picked up the crate easily and loaded it up on the truck. Kendall walked out and I helped her with the things she gave me to load up on the truck.

"I think your party in booth four is missing a dinner roll, and no you can't come. Museum policy." Kendall told Shelby, not even letting her ask if she could come.

"Triceratops' head grew up to be seven feet long. Only two of the horns were really bone. One was just a ligament. Give me a shot Miss Morgan, please?" Shelby pleaded. "I know as much about dinosaurs as anyone on your crew." Shelby said, motioning to the three of us. Kendall glanced over to Chase and Koda, Chase was balancing his skateboard in his head and Koda was licking his fingers.

"For your information, Chase and Koda are very highly trained museum personnel." Kendall started, but Shelby cut her off.

"Well, they hide it pretty well." Shelby said, talking about the boys and glanced at the two boys.

"Besides, Bella knows a lot more about dinosaurs than you can imagine." Kendall finished her thought and I smiled at the compliment.

"We should be leaving now." I said and Kendall nodded and shooed Shelby away. I climbed into the driver's seat of the truck and waited for Chase and Koda to get in the truck. After rechecking the dig site for the triceratops, we didn't find the pink energem like we hoped. I drove us back to the loading dock and we climbed out of the truck. We left the truck loaded with the equipment, knowing that we're going to go look again for another energem later. "I very hungry." Koda commented.

"Koda, you're always hungry." Chase explained.

"I'm hungry too." I agreed with Koda, following Koda's lead on this. Chase twisted a tooth of the T-Rex head and the door opened. We all slid into base. As a routine that's been engraved into our brains, we all unclipped our energems from our necklaces and let them fly into their designated place in between the teeth of the small cavern so they could charge our Dino Chargers. I headed back to my room to get changed. After getting changed, I walked out of my room and caught up with Chase and Koda. "Kendall just told me that 3 more energems were found and they found the base." Chase informed me. I nod. We walked back to the main lab area of base and saw Shelby and two other boys, one in green and one in red.

"Koda? Chase? Bella?" Shelby asked as they saw us walk out. "Miss Morgan?" Kendall and Chase stood on one side of Keeper and Koda and I stood on the other.

"You fought to defend a stranger at great risk of your own life. That's why the red energem chose you Tyler." Kendall explained, walking up to the group. A smile broke out on Tyler's face. Kendall moved on to the next person in line. "Your discipline and intelligence has given you the skills to protect others. That's why the green energem chose you Riley." Kendall continued down the line and a small smile made its way onto Riley's face. "Shelby! Why the pink energem chose you...is anyone's guess." Kendall finished and the smile fell off of Shelby's face.

"Okay. But energems, dinosaur spirits and bonding. It sounds a bit unbelievable." Riley said. Kendall looked back at the 3 of us.

"Show them." She instructed. We all walked forward a few steps and held our hands out. Our bonded energems flew into our hands. "I helped Keeper track down Chase, then we found Koda. Bella actually found her energem on a dig and joined us soon afterwards." Kendall explained. While she was talking, a small stegosaurus floated out of Koda's energem, a small parasaur floated out of Chase's energem and a small brachiosaurus floated out of mine.

"Wait, Bella? As in Bella Newlin?" Tyler asked Kendall. I clipped my energem to my necklace.

"Yeah, why?" Kendall replied. Tyler took off towards me and engulfed me in a huge hug, lifting my feet off of the ground. I let out a small squeak of surprise when he lifted me up. Tyler set me back down on my feet. Memories flooded back into my brain and hit me like a truck. Tyler was a good friend back in the day.

"When did you move back?" Tyler asked, putting his hands on my shoulders. "Not too long ago." I replied, grinning.

"We were best friends before Bella moved away from Amber Beach 8 years ago." Tyler answered, seeing the confused looks on everyone's faces.

"We lost contact and we moved back. I stayed in Amber Beach while my dad still works with his anti-vampire agenda." I explained. "And when I started working here."

"Welcome. To. The. Team." Koda stuttered out while clipping his energem to his necklace.

"You're officially Power Rangers." Chase said and clipped his to the string around his neck.

"Cool." Tyler commented.

"Power what?" Shelby asked.

"The energems have given you three magnificent powers and the dinosaur spirits give you strength." Keeper explained.

"Six energems have been found but 5 more are still lost." Kendall said and motioned to the other wall where there were 5 empty spaces for the other energems. "You must use your new powers to find them before they fall into evil hands."

"Evil hands?!?!?! You mean like that thing we fought in the woods?" Shelby asked, sounding a bit shocked and scared. "You expect me to fight monsters? Really?" Shelby asked, "I just want to dig for dinosaur bones, not bond to one." All of a sudden, our warning siren went off and Chase, Koda, Kendall and I rushed back to the middle of the room where the hologram of the area popped up. It was the mountain area, right outside of the city with a glowing red mass.

"What's going on?" Tyler asked, walking towards us.

"I'm seeing more seismic activity, same location as yesterday." Kendall informed us. "We better go take a look." Chase said.

"I'm all in." Tyler said, sounding confident.

"Good." Kendall said.

"This all seems crazy, but I'm in too." Riley added.

"Great." Chase said.

"We go now." Koda said and we all headed towards the entrance to head towards the area. We all noticed that Shelby wasn't coming with us.

"Shelby?" I asked, wanting to know why she wasn't coming with us.

"You fought bravely to save the Pink Energem. Now the world needs your help." Keeper said, trying to convince Shelby to come with us.

"It's her decision, Keeper. She's right to be hesitant. Clearly this mission is just too dangerous for a waitress. Go without her." Kendall said and with the look in her eyes, I could tell she was using reverse psychology. We all turned around to leave again, but Shelby stopped us.

"Wait! Sure I'm a little scared, who wouldn't be? But with mine and Lexa's knowledge of dinosaurs we could be a great team. Fact is, you need me and I want to help." Shelby explained, showing her bravery and confidence.

"Don't forget your dino chargers." Chase said over his shoulder to inform the newest members of our team. I grabbed my three dino chargers and stuffed them into my pocket carefully. As Riley's and Shelby's energems flew into their hands, I handed them both a new necklace string where they could clip their energems to the necklace. Tyler did the same, but his energem didn't fly into his hand but another loud siren went off. Kendall went to go check on the table to see what was happening.

"Something is interfering with the red energem's power." Kendall informed us.

"Tyler you must stay." Keeper told him.

"But I..." Tyler started and trailed off seeing the looks on our faces saying that he needs to stay back and figure this out. "Okay." I passed him a string for his energem. We all turned back towards the exit and headed out towards the coordinates. "Come on! It should be around here somewhere!" I shouted over my shoulder, as I continued to run towards the location.

"It's gonna be just ahead." Chase said and I slowed down to a stop when I caught sight of a volcano.

"That's a volcano and it's going to blow." Shelby pointed out and we all glanced at each other worried. The ground shook and the volcano exploded. As the volcano exploded, the red T-Rex zord emerged from it.

"Look, it's Tyler's T-Rex zord." I commented, impressed by the zord.

"You wanted dinosaurs, welcome to the power rangers." Chase told Shelby, who was still looking at the zord in amazement. Chase's dino com went off and we glanced at him for a second. "Go for Chase." He replied.

"Meet Tyler down at the city center, he's gonna need your guys' help." Kendall informed us.

"Alright, we're on our way there." Chase told the scientist and hung up. We took off sprinting back towards the city. After 10 minutes of running, we made it just in time to see Tyler relaxing a bit already morphed.

"Alone? Think again!" Tyler said and we all rushed to his side. "Better late than never."

"Are you really in there?" Riley asked, knocking on the side of his helmet lightly. Tyler nodded rapidly.

"Looking good Tyler." I complimented my best friend and Koda nodded, agreeing with me.

"For a first timer." Chase sarcastically said and I rolled my eyes.

"No more games! I'll destroy all of you!" I heard a new voice say. We all turned towards him.

"That is not Fury." Koda pointed out. It was just an abominable snowman monster, but not Fury. "That for sure. But whatever it is, it's about to know who we are." Chase said and pulled out a dino charger. Koda and I followed his lead. "It's morphin' time!" He said but before we could morph, Shelby pushed her way past us.

"Just try and keep up guys, Dino charger ready!" Shelby said, and tried getting hers to work. Koda decided to save her from any more embarrassment.

"Here, click." Koda instructed her.

"Oh, thanks." She thanked the caveman and we all lined up next to her.

"Ready!" We shouted in unison and pushed the buttons on our dino chargers. Our morphers appeared in our hands and we loaded them up. A voice emitted from them, indicating that they were ready.

"Energize! Unleash the power!" We all called together and spun the barrel of our morphers. We held our morphers above our heads and the head of each designated dinosaur we bonded to shot out of the morpher. They encased us and a bright light faded, and we were all morphed into our gear.

"Wow, we look great together." Shelby commented.

"Whatever, you're still weak humans." The monster commented.

"Humans with dinosaur spirits." Tyler said confidently.

"Yeah!" We all echoed his thoughts and confidence.

"Well, I hope you're ready to lose!" Iceage shouted. "Get them!" He commanded and an army vivixs rose and charged at us.

"It's about to get wild!" Tyler said and we took it as a cue to go attack the vivixs. We all split up so we could take down the vivix and so Tyler could confront Iceage. "You can't handle all of this awesomeness!" I exclaimed, while punching and kicking my way through the vivixs. Each going down one by one. I twisted my belt buckle and popped it open. I slipped the charger into my Dino morpher blaster.

Brachi Charger Engaged

"Power blast!" I shouted my attack and aimed at the group of the vivix. The vivix all disintegrated and I was finished. We all regrouped with Tyler, as he took down Icy with his zord. Tyler's 'Rexy' kneeled down in front of us.

"No one is going to believe what just happened." Tyler said. Rexy went back to his volcano and the rest of us demorphed and headed back to the Dino Museum. We all slid down one by one.

"Hey, we're back!" Chase shouted into base to inform Kendall and Keeper that we were back.

"You gotta show me how to handle a sword like that." Tyler told Riley.

"You took out that giant monster, how about you show me." Riley asked back.

"I'm glad you are on the team, but I-" Koda started while talking to Shelby.

"Don't worry. I'll still make your favorite bronto burgers." Shelby told him. Koda grinned.

"Just wait till my brother hears about this." Riley said.

"Incorrect. No one can know what you are doing." Kendall corrected.

"Yeah. It would put them more in danger actually. That's why we never risked taking Shelby on any digs for any reason because we didn't want another incident like how I got my energem." I explained. The rest of the new team members nodded, agreeing with us. Chase kneeled down in front of Keeper, who was deep in thought.

"Keeper, that monster was not Fury." Chase pointed out. Keeper looked up at the rest of us. "You said that Fury was the only monster on earth."

"That monster belonged to Sledge, a ruthless bounty hunter. 65 million years ago he drove me to hide the energems here, which Kendall has been helping me look for. Somehow Sledge has returned and he'll destroy anything to get the energems, including all of you."
