Bella's POV

We were all listening to Kendall as she stood up on the mini stage to tell the story of the gold energem and how it was founded, while the rest of us stood in the back of the room. "I'll be glad when this exhibit is over so we can lock away the Stone of Zandar safely and sound at the base." Chase commented to us lowly, when he joined us. We all nodded in agreement.

Once Kendall finished her presentation, the crowd dispersed and started milling around to look at the other treasures of Zandar as well. Not too long later, a group of bodyguards walked in with a boy in the middle of them, looking not that much older than us.

The boy had brown hair that was styled nicely along with matching brown eyes and was wearing a graphite grey suit. He commanded the bodyguards to collect all of the Treasures of Zandar. Kendall instantly noticed and walked over to him, the rest of us followed her lead and approached him as well.

"Excuse me, I'm the museum director, just what do you think you're doing?" Kendall asked him.

"I'm taking what belongs to me." The boy replied, I could hear the accent in his voice.

"Hey, whoa, whoa," Riley said. "No, that's impossible because theses belong to the royal family." But suddenly he looked the young man up and down and realized who he was and said, "Oh." "Starting to get the picture, are we?" the young man replied. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Prince Phillip III of Zandar, the real prince, unlike the imposters who were masquerading around here." Prince Phillip added, pulling out a magazine with a picture of Tyler and I printed on the back of it. I looked down at my shoes and tried hiding myself behind Shelby. "Wait a minute, this is the two of you, isn't it?" Prince Phillip asked Tyler and I.

"I...Uh..." Tyler stuttered, not knowing what to say.

"I wonder how anyone mistook you as a prince, she on the other hand does have the beauty of a princess." Prince Phillip flirted with me. My eyes widened at his comment and I felt my cheeks flush. Koda came up behind him and said, "We mean no disrespect." Phillip look annoyed and said, "And what would you know about respect? Look at you, filthy, shoeless. Were you born in a cave?" "No," Koda replied. "Born on mammoth hunt. Mother could not make it home to cave." He offered the apple he was eating and asked, "Want some?" Phillip gave a disgusted look and then walked over to the Stone of Zandar and said, "A knight's bravery is what makes this stone a legend. How dare you touch it! None of you are worthy!" 

Third Person's POV

Unknowingly, Tyler was glaring at the Prince while he was flirting with Bella and insulting the others while they watched with slight confusion. The Prince had slightly dissed Tyler for being the prince, then moved on to flirt with Bella and not throw a snarking comment about her being the princess the day before.

Tyler had this burning in the pit of his stomach as he watched the scene unfold in front of him. "Did you see that? He made Bella blush!" He whispered-yelled to his friends.

"Relax." Shelby started, noticing Tyler's reactions towards the flirting. "It's just some harmless flirting." Chase answered, smirking at Tyler's reaction. It's about time that the red ranger shows some mutual feelings about the yellow ranger.

"That is not harmless." Tyler resorted. "Are you jealous Tyler?" Riley asked, hoping to make him realize that he really did like Bella more than a friend. Tyler opened and closed his mouth when he was not able to answer the question. Am I jealous? Tyler asked himself.

Bella's POV

Suddenly, the prince and his guards all filed out of the exhibit and we all, including Kendall, followed them out. They all loaded into the cars and we watched them drive away from us. "We can't just let them leave with the gold energem. Can we?" Shelby asked, knowing that this is only taking us further away from finishing our ultimate goal.

With Sledge looking for energems, it could put the Prince and his Kingdom in danger for inhabiting the gold energem. We all looked at Kendall, hoping for an answer. She just shrugs, not knowing what to do.

"Look, vivix." Koda pointed out the aliens that were hiding in the trees. They looked over at the trail of cars and disappeared, probably to follow them and get the energem.

"This isn't good..." Tyler commented. We hurried after the cars, knowing that they probably won't get too far with the monsters that were heading their way. Koda was faster than the rest of us and took off further ahead of us to try and get to the prince as soon as possible. As we arrived on scene, we saw vivix and monsters surrounding the young couple and their guards. Their guards were trying to fight off the swarm of vivix and Koda was trying to defend the Prince by himself. "We're coming Koda!" Tyler shouted to our friend. I took off and ducked a vivix and kicked it on the knee, causing it to fall and I kicked it away from me. I kept fighting through the vivix to get to Koda to try and help him to keep Prince Phillip safe.

Phillip looked shocked at the two, mainly for their actions to help him. "I'm at a loss for words," he told them. "After how I treated you, the insults, why would you risk your life for me?" Koda decided to answer that by saying, "Everyone has good on inside. Even mean prince like you." Phillip sighed and said, "I suppose I deserve that." "Definitely." I said. 

We suddenly heard Fury growl in the distance. We looked around and saw a giant boulder rolling toward us. "Move!" Koda shouted. Koda and I pushed Phillip out of the way and took the boulder head on, knocking them backwards. Phillip rolled to the side, with the Energem flying out of his pocket. He tried to pick it back up, but Fury got to it first. "Finally," Fury said. "After 800 years, the gold Energem is mine!" Phillip looked up at him and asked, "800 years? So you're the monster that attacked Prince Colin 800 years ago?" "Yes," Fury answered. "That prince survived, but you'll be destroyed!"

Before he could deal the final blow, he was interrupted by gun fire from the other Rangers, who finally caught up. "This Energem is coming with me," Fury said. Chase and Riley ran up and helped Phillip to his feet. "Don't worry. We got you," Riley said. Tyler and Shelby ran over to me and Koda and helped us to our feet. "You guys OK?" Tyler asked. "Fury got Energem," Koda replied.

"You all right, mate?" Chase asked Phillip. "I'm a fool," Phillip said. "But I'm fine." Tyler pulled out his communicator and told Kendall, "Fury has the gold Energem." Kendall replied by saying, "And he just summoned the Ptera Zord. IF he installs the Energem into the Zord, he will have infinite energy."

"We stop him first." Koda claimed.

"Bella, I've been developing a new dino charger that works with yellow energem power that may finally give a zord the edge we need on the Ptera zord." Kendall explained. I nodded. "I just need a few seconds to transmute the yellow energem and the charger."

"Okay. I'll be there in a few." I told her and Tyler hung up.

"We'll go after Fury, you have to get back to base as fast as possible, and meet us there." Tyler instructed me and the others nodded in agreement. "Be careful." Tyler told me and pressed a quick kiss to my cheek and I felt my face turn flush into a blush quickly.

"Uh... Okay. You too." I managed out and took off in the direction of the museum to avoid the others to see my blush, not noticing the slightly pointed look that Tyler sent the prince.

I pulled out the dino cycle charger out of my pocket. "Dino cycle, reeve up." I summoned the bike. The bike formed in front of me and I quickly climbed on and I drove back to the museum. In a few short minutes, I arrive at the loading dock and I summon the bike to go back and I quickly go down the slide to base. Once my feet hit the floor of base, I pulled my energem off of my necklace and approached Kendall. I passed her my energem, so she could get to work quickly. She plugs it into the equipment and continues to explain to me for a minute about what the charger can do to make Brachi stronger. I nod, taking all of the information in. She takes out my energem and the new Dino charger #16 and passes them both to me.

"Okay. The Dino stretch charger is ready." Kendall told me as I clipped my energem back on its string and tucked it into my shirt. "I really hope this works." She said.

"Kendall, it's going to work. It will at the very least buy us some more time." I reassured her.

"Good luck." She wished me. I shot her a small smile. I thanked her headed back up. Once I was there, I started running back in the direction where the others were. "Dino charger ready, unleash the power!" I said when I pulled my Dino charger out and morphed.

Third Person's POV

Tyler watched Bella's retreating figure, with a slight smug grin on his face, hoping that he sent a clear message to the charming prince. The others smirked at Tyler's antics and faced the prince. "You go back to the road, back to safety." Koda told him, knowing that he needed to get to safety, as far as away from Fury.

"But I-" Prince Philip tried protesting but the rangers took off in the direction of the monsters not letting the prince finish his sentence. The rangers reached the scene where the monsters were talking about the gold energem, casting aside the other treasures of Zandar.

"Let's get it to Sledge, so I can start planning my wedding." Poisandra told Fury, talking about the gold energem.

"Cancel the invitations." Shelby started as they stopped running and faced the monsters.

"It morphin time, dino charger!" Koda led, while pulling out his Dino charger.

"Ready!" Everyone else followed his lead and pulled out their chargers. "Energize! Unleash the power!" They said and loaded their activated chargers to their Dino morpher blasters. They morphed into battle mode, having no clue that the Prince of Zandar was watching them, in awe.

"They're power rangers..." Prince Phillip muttered lowly, wide eyed at the new discovery.

"The tide has turned rangers, prepare to suffer my wrath!" Fury shouted, holding up the gold energem. "Ptera zord." Fury summoned the zord, but did not teleport to the cockpit of the zord quite yet. The Ptera zord flies closer to the ground and attacks the rangers with a lightning attack. The 5 rangers manage to dodge the attack just in time. The Ptera zord flies back up, to gain some more leverage for the next attack. "Shocking isn't it, you can't outrun the Ptera zord forever." Fury stated.

Bella's POV

On our way to the battle site, I was sitting on Brachi's head and saw the Ptera zord fly away from something but it looked like he was going to attack again. Brachi acted on instinct and she attacked the Ptera zord with yellow lasers to protect our friends. We got close enough and Brachi leans her neck down a bit for me to jump off. "Hey guys!" I shouted and jumped off of Brachi's nose. Since I was still quite high, I did a front flip off of Brachi and tucked my knees into my body. I rolled on the ground and spring back on my feet with ease. I turn back around to face Brachi. "Great job Brachi!" I complimented her and turned back to my friends.

"But the Ptera zord is going to come back." Shelby tells me, worried.

"Don't worry, Kendall's new dino charger should stop that." I told the others to reassure them. I pulled out the new charger and showed them dino charger number 16. "Dino charger, ready!" I say, after facing Brachi again. I threw the activated charger to my zord and it loaded into her mouth.

Dino Stretch Charger Engaged

Barchi's neck stretches even more to go towards the Ptera zord, who is still flying above us. She clamps her jaw around Ptera's wing and shakes him around. "That charger makes Brachi even stronger!" Tyler exclaimed. Brachi manages to take down Ptera and he's temporarily down, just until we get the gold energem back to get Ptera back on our side.

"No, they've taken down my Ptera zord!" Fury shouted in angrily.

"Did you really think you could beat us Fury!" Tyler asked rhetorically.

"With dinosaur might, ready to fight. Power rangers dino charge!" We said together, taking our stances to show him we're ready to fight.

"Wipe them out!" Fury commanded the swarm of monsters around him. They all charged at us and we all acted quickly.

"Dino steel armor on!" We summoned our Dino steel weapons to form. We all commence in a battle of our own to make our way to the stronger monsters. I kicked my leg up and my foot collided with a vivix and I shot another with my bow. I made my way through the vivix while shooting them with my bow and I eventually teamed up with Chase as we tried taking down one of the spikeballs, who were harder to take down that vivix. In the background, I could hear Riley trying out a new attack with his raptor claw, Shelby's tricera drill and Koda's stego shield. But I didn't pay much attention to it because of the spikeball in front of Chase and I.

"Bella, I'm going off of Riley right now. Give me your bow." Chase asked and I passed him my bow once we got away from the spikeball after dodging an attack. Chase combined both of our weapons, my bow going on in front of his para chopper as usual. "Bachi and Para, double blast!" Chase and I summoned the attack. Both of our weapons glowed and the swirling black and yellow energy blast hit the spikeball. The strong blast destroyed 1 of the 4 Spikeballs. So... 2 down, 2 to go. Suddenly there's an explosion that takes us all by surprise. We all rushed towards where Tyler was battling Fury and saw Fury on the ground. We all rushed to Tyler's side.

"It's over Fury! Give back the gold energem!" Tyler demanded and held his hand out.

"Never! It's mine!" Fury shouts and the gold energem suddenly starts to glow in his hand. The orange energy mass that we saw yesterday started to pull itself out of Fury's body. "No! Not now!" Fury shouted in agony as he started to lose control over the energy mass.

"What's happening?" Shelby asked, but we were all confused. The orange mass takes a person-like shape. The person-like energy continues to pull away from Fury.

"I think it's trying to escape Fury's body..." I say, when realization hit me. Tyler walked away from us and a few steps closer to Fury.

"Could it be?" Tyler started. "Dad, is that you?" He asks again, but more to himself. The energy mass manages to pull out of Fury's body and it looks even more person-like. The energy mass breaks away from Fury's control and it sends a strong shock wave all around it. We all are thrown backwards and landed roughly on the ground, causing our battle modes to be disabled. I glanced up to see Tyler hurrying towards the person who just escaped Fury's body, who was also laying on the ground. The rest of us get up steadily, while watching Tyler and this new person who just escaped Fury's body. Tyler flips him over, only to see that it isn't his dad. "What? You're not my dad, who are you?" Tyler says and he scrambles back from him. We all glance at each other, confused. The person who escaped Fury's body stands up tall and proud before introducing himself.

"I am Sir Ivan, the knight of Zandar." Ivan introduces himself as all of our jaws drop.

"The knight of Zandar!" Chase says in astonishment. Ivan turns away from us and towards Fury who was getting back on his feet

"Finally, it is my turn to morph." Ivan says and looks at the gold energem in his hand.

"That energem is mine!" Fury shouts in denial. Sir Ivan throws the gold energem up into the air.

"Gold Ptera morpher!" He summons his morpher and a stone morpher blaster formed around his wrist, very different from ours. The energem drops into the opening and the stone breaks around the morpher and forms a blue, gold and white morpher around his forearm, shaped like a pterodactyl head. "Unleash the power!" He shouts and a gold pterodactyl head flies out of the morpher and around Ivan, morphing him into the gold ranger. "Still think that the stone is yours!"

"Woah..." Shelby says in awe next to me.

"Gold ranger?" Koda asked, as we did not see a moment when he could've bonded to the gold energem to make him the gold ranger.

"Vivix rise!" Fury shouted and the monsters formed around him.

"Pterodactyl, power ranger gold!" Ivan took his stance after introducing himself. The vivix make their way to Sir Ivan. "Gold Ptera morpher, Ptera bolt!" Sir Ivan says and rapid blast the ground of vivix. Some fall to the ground and disintegrate, as the others charge at Sir Ivan. "Leave these beasts to me, I have a score to settle." Sir Ivan told us before we had a chance to go help him. He easily punches his way through the vivix. "Ah-ha! They practically leap onto my fists." Sir Ivan exclaims. He jumps up and wing-like objects grow off of his suit. "Ptera strike!" Sir Ivan summons another attack and attacks the vivix while flying around.

"Woah!" Riley says in awe.

"He can fly!" Chase says in disbelief. Ivan takes on Poisandra and Curio who were now charging at Ivan to try and take him down. He jumps up to avoid an attack from Poisandra's axe and summons a new weapon.

"Summon Ptera saber!" From a small storm cloud, a blue and gold saber appeared in Sir Ivan's hands. He opened up the saber and put energem into the slots in his Ptera saber.

Gold Energem Engaged

"Lighting strike!" Sir Ivan calls out and attacks Curio and Poisandra with a lightning attack. The lightning attack shocks Curio and Poisandra. Wrench attacks Sir Ivan next. Sir Ivan ducks an attack and blocks another with his Ptera saber. With the Ptera saber making contact with Wrench's axe, Sir Ivan attacked him with a lightning attack, as well, shocking Wrench to the core. "You fried my circuits!" Wrench shouted in dismay as he recovered from the attack. Wrench ran off with Poisandra and Curio and headed back to Sledge's ship to avoid any more of the battle. We didn't know when Fury left the fight scene before the other spikeballs attacked Ivan, but we noticed that he was gone.

"Who's next?" Ivan asks and the last two remaining spikeballs approach him.

"It's my turn!" One of the spikeballs growled and charged at the knight.

"Feel the power of the storm!" Sir Ivan shouted as he raised his Ptera saber above his head. Lightning gathered around his Ptera saber and charged it up. Sir Ivan takes his proper stance. "Lightning final strike!" There's a wave of the lightning attack as it destroys both of the Spikeballs immediately. Before any of us had a chance to figure out when he bonded to the gold energem, the bright blue magna-beam shot down from the sky and where the spikeballs were destroyed. Both spikeballs become mega-monsters.

"We'll call our megazord." Tyler informs Sir Ivan, saying we can take care of this issue seeing that the Ptera zord may still be evil.

"No, this quest is mine." Ivan stops any of us from pulling out our chargers.

"Wait, wait." Riley says and rushes up to the gold ranger "The Ptera charge megazord is evil." Riley tells Sir Ivan of the big problem we've been facing for the past few days.

"Not for long." Sir Ivan states confidentiality and teleports to the cockpit of the megazord. After a few moments, we see the faint purple shield around the Ptera zord's eyes break."You evil spell is broken! Ptera charge megazord ready!" Sir Ivan says and the Ptera zord changes into the Ptera charge megazord. Sir Ivan and the Ptera charge megazord both fight the mega-spikeballs. He blocks the clubs from the spikeballs with his wings. The Ptera charge megazord flew up and attacks both spikeballs, causing them to fall back. There's a final lightning attack from the head of the Ptera zord and both spikeballs explode and are destroyed. The Ptera charge megazord forms back into the Ptera zord and drops the gold ranger off. The Ptera zord flies off to his habitat and I tell Brachi to go as well. Sir Ivan demorphed and we all rushed towards him.

"Sir Ivan, I'm Shelby. Welcome to our century." Shelby greeted the new ranger.

"You will like it here." Koda started to talk to Ivan. "I show you burgers." Koda said and imitated the shape of a burger with his hands. Suddenly, Prince Phillip walked up to us, we looked at him confused. We thought he had left to go somewhere safe, but if he's here right now he must've seen us demorph from when Sir Ivan escaped Fury's body.

"Prince Philip, Why you still here?" Koda asked him.

Ivan kneels down before the royal prince.

"Sire, I'm at your service." Ivan told him. Ivan holds up the gold energem to Prince Philip. "This belongs to the royal family." Ivan tells Prince Philip and he takes it from Sir Ivan's hands.

"Do you know who I am?" Prince Philip asked Ivan.

"I know the royal blood of Zandar when I see it. I've spent my entire life faithfully protecting your family." Ivan told Prince Philip. Prince Philip looked at him impressed.

"So you truly are Sir Ivan the Knight of Zandar." Prince Philip concluded and motioned him to stand. Ivan stood back up to his feet. "And the monster did not destroy you?" He asked.

"No, he captured me for 800 long years. Only with the power of that stone was I able to escape his body." Ivan explained to the prince.

"It's not just a stone." I say, bringing the attention to us as the rest of us pull out our own energems to show them to Prince Philip, and Ivan. "They are energems."

"They have more power than you can imagine." Riley added to my point, informing the two about the energems.

"Millions of years ago, 11 energems were lost. So far, we've only been able to find 6." Chase told them. "The Stone of Zandar is the 7th." Tyler spoke up. Prince Philip looked at the energem in his hand then back at Ivan.

"The energem is yours to use as you will." Prince Philip told Ivan and gave Ivan the gold energem back.

"I will use this to make the kingdom proud." Ivan said.

There's a car horn from behind us and we all turn around to see Prince Phillip's limo with his guard waiting for him. Prince Phillip turns to us.

"I am humbled by your bravery and courage." Prince Philip tells Koda and he stands tall and proud while smiling. Phillip turns around to leave. He stops after a few steps and turns to face us again."May you all find the remaining 4 energems safely." He told us, wishing us luck and turned around to leave again. This time, we watched them get into the limo after bidding us one more goodbye before the limo drove off.

"Welcome to the team..." Shelby starts and I turn around to see Ivan walking away from us. "Where are you going?" Shelby asks him.

"I have been trapped for 800 years. It matters not where I go, it is the path I take that I have chosen." Ivan told us and continues to walk away from us to explore the new time and area he is in.

"Let him go." Riley tells Shelby who is about to call Ivan's name again.

"Yeah. Let's give him some space. He's experiencing something he hasn't for a long time." Chase said, walking up to the pair.

"Freedom." Koda states, walking to them as well.

That night I was with my adoptive parents at Marlows restaurant. Mom crawled into the seat next to mine, Dad/master taking the opposite side. A waitress, one I was unfamiliar with, approached the table and took drink orders. Mom and I spoke occasionally, but I wasn't really up for chatting. I had a feeling I was going to need my energy for whatever Dad wanted to talk about.

Fortunately, he at least waited until we'd finished our entrees. It was then that the air at our table became tense. Mom and Dad shared a look, and then both of them glanced at me. I sat up straight, angling my chin up and waiting for the lecture or scolding I was about to get.

"Bella," Dad started. He chanced another glance at Sarah. "You know I love you, and I know that you work at Amber Beach now. Sarah has convince me to give you some space, but we've talked about it. We think it's time for you to start participating in life with us again." Dad finished off his peace, and Silence engulfed the table. "Steve, maybe-" Mom started, noticing the way I started to tremble. Dad cut her off. "You can work with me, leading the church and fighting vampires, one at a time."

"Fighting vampires? Yeah, right." I seethed, clenching my jaw so tightly it hurt. "You mean killing vampires. Like the one you have locked up in the church's basement? What are you? Are you a barbarian, Dad? We don't lock people in cages!" My voice raised pitch with every word, until I was shouting. Steve stood up quickly, glaring down at me heatedly.

"Be quiet." He hissed at me. I stood as well, fists clenched at my sides.

"No!" I yelled. "You are ignorant, and filled with so much hatred! I can't stand it! All I hear you talking about is how evil vampires are and how much you hate them-Hate is a sin, Dad!" Steve's nostrils flared, a murderous expression crossing his normally cheery features. He stood out from the booth and grabbed hold of my arm. He gripped my arm tightly and began to half drag me outside of the building.

"What in tarnation do you think you're doing?" Dad yelled as soon as we were safely outside the restaurant.

"Finally telling you the truth!" I retorted, crossing my arms stubbornly.

"You listen here, Bella Newlin, you are my daughter and you do not talk to me that way! Secondly, hating what god hates is not a sin, and god hates vampires!"

"Why would he allow them to exist if he hated them so much?" I hissed back at him.

"Because it is our job as his loyal servants to eradicate them from the earth. It is our duty to our lord." I stared at Dad, unsure of how to respond to that lunacy. Was he serious? I couldn't tell if he actually believed his own bullshit or not. It certainly seemed like it, and that was perhaps even more terrifying than anything. "And that vampire in the basement is none of your concern! He's an abomination, they all are!" Spit was flying from lips now, his voice above shouting and now hitting screaming.

"You're ridiculous!" I threw my hands up in the air. "Aren't you tired of hating things? 'Cause I am. I am so sick and tired of It and of you treating me like a dog when I'm just as human as you are!"  I was screaming now too, though my voice was starting to break. I rapidly blinked back tears. I would not cry, no way in hell. Not in front of him. Steve stormed up to me, pointing his finger in my face.

"You are grounded, young lady! You will not leave the house except for church for a month!" He then pointed towards the restaurant, gesturing for me to walk back inside. "I don't think so. I have to go see my friend Tyler who's waiting for me. Bye!" I said as I walked away.
