Day One
Morning - Halliwell Manor - Foyer
There was a small earthquake, shaking the house.
It stopped.
The sisters walked downstairs.
"Oh, God," Parker told them. "Not another aftershock."
"Yeah, well, at least they're getting smaller," Prue told them. "What was the main one? 4.3?"
"The radio said 4.5," Piper told them.
Poppy noticed that the earthquake had tilted a picture of their grandmother, straightening it back up. "There you go, Grams."
"Earthquakes give me the jeebies," Phoebe told them.
"Would that be the Phoebe Jeebies?" Piper asked.
"Oh, you know, it's the comedy stylings of Piper Halliwell," Parker told them.
"Prue, you're the only Halliwell that actually likes earthquakes," Poppy told her.
"I don't like them, but I don't go running through the house naked screaming 'run for your life' either," Prue told them.
"Okay, that is such an exaggeration," Phoebe told them. "I was wearing slippers."
They walked into the kitchen.
"Okay, okay, okay," Parker told them. "Does anybody smell that?"
"Yeah, uh, I caught a whiff of it first thing this morning," Phoebe told them. "I think it's coming from the basement."
"I don't know," Piper told them. "I called someone to come out and check. They should be here any..." The doorbell rang. "Now. I'll get it."
Piper walked out to get the door.
"We're never gonna pull this off," Prue told them.
"Everything's going to be fine," Poppy told her.
"Yeah, until the house blows up," Prue told them. "Look, this Bucklands VIP specifically requested for the dinner party to be here. Now, Claire may have prodded me into agreeing, but the point is I did agree, and--and..."
"Nothing has changed," Phoebe told her. "Piper and Poppy are gonna cook a feast. Parker and I will serve with grace. And Claire will kiss your ass." Piper walked in with a gas man, clearing her throat. "Trinomial talents."
"Morning, ladies," the gas man told them. "Wow. That's the smell?" Parker nodded. "Doesn't really smell like gas."
"Yeah, but if it is, we can't light the stove," Prue told him. "No stove. No dinner."
"Relax," Piper told her. "If we have to, I could have it cooked at the restaurant and brought here."
"Well, let me check it out and see what's up," the gas man told them.
"Great, thanks," Poppy told him. "The basement is thataway."
Poppy pointed at the basement door.
"Okay," the gas man told them, walking into the basement.
Poppy smiled teasingly. "Look, Parker. He's going into the basement, alone."
"Don't even start," Parker told them.
"Yeah, what if, dare I say it, the boogyman gets him?" Prue asked.
"I believe Parker pronounced it Woogyman," Piper told them. "Or was that just the buckteeth?"
"Okay, I was five years old, you guys," Parker told them.
"Oh, so, what, now you're over it, which is why you haven't been down there in what?" Phoebe asked. "13 years?"
"Okay, you guys were not there," Parker told them. "It was real. It was--"
"A story," Piper told her. "Grams told you she got rid of the Woogyman in the basement so you could sleep better."

Basement
The gas man was looking around the basement.
The light turned off.
The gas man turned on his flashlight. He saw a crack in the ground, kneeling down to get a closer look. He grabbed his screwdriver, sticking it into the crack.
Black smoke rose out of the crack.
The gas man was in shock. "What the..."
The black smoke entered his body, possessing him.

Kitchen
The sisters were still in the kitchen.
Poppy was going through the mail. "Who's Chanda Lier?"
"Oh, they're for me," Parker told them, taking the package from Poppy. "I ordered some CDs."
"Using a fake name to score some free CDs?" Piper asked. "Isn't that a little dishonest?"
"Is Parker's dark side rearing it's ugly head?" Phoebe asked teasingly.
"I do not have a dark side, thank you very much," Parker told them. "And just because I protect the innocent doesn't mean I have to be innocent all the time."
"Ooh, I don't know," Prue told her. "Still believing in the Woogyman is pretty innocent. It's so cute, too."
Parker looked at them in annoyance. "It was scary, and it was real."
The gas man walked out of the basement.
"So?" Piper asked. "What's the verdict?"
"Bad," the gas man answered.
"Bad, as in destroy my entire dinner party, or bad, as in you can fix quickly, it'll just cost more than my entire education?" Prue asked.
"By tonight, there will be no more problems," the gas man told them, walking into the basement.
"Okay, Piper, you and I gotta head off to work," Prue told her.
"Right," Piper agreed.
Piper and Prue walked out, leaving.
"Phoebe, we gotta go, too," Poppy told her. "Remember we promised Prue we'd go to the wine store?"
"Yeah," Phoebe answered. Poppy handed the mail to Parker. "Here, for you."
"Thanks," Parker told them.
Poppy and Phoebe walked out, leaving.

Basement
The gas man was looking at his shadow on the wall. "Which one do you want?"
Parker called from upstairs. "Uh, I'll just be upstairs if you need me."
The shadow pointed to the stairs. "Parker."
The gas man nodded.

Bucklands - Prue's Office
Prue was picking things up off the floor, straightening a picture on the wall with her powers.
(Song Ends)
Claire walked in. "Little down on the left."
Prue turned around. "Thanks." She walked over to the picture, straightening it. "Uh, so was this your first quake?"
"And hopefully my last," Claire answered. "I prefer my ceilings above me. All right, this is the final guest list for tonight. All important clients to me, to Bucklands, and therefore to you. And at the top of the list..."
Claire handed Prue a sheet of paper.
Prue read from the list. "Professor Whittlesey. Didn't she just buy the Calder?"
"Well, her family did and they can afford to buy much, much more," Claire answered. "And for whatever reason, she's fascinated with your house, your job is to keep her happy."
Professor Beth Whittlesey walked in. "Excuse me. Claire, I will be bringing a guest if that's all right."
"Of course," Claire agreed. "Prue, tonight's gonna be five plus one."
"It's your home, then," Beth told her.
"Yeah," Prue answered.
"Oh, Prue Halliwell, Professor Whittlesey," Claire introduced them.
Beth shook Prue's hand. "Beth. I can't tell you how excited I am to be spending an evening in a house with such history."
"I understand you know a lot about the Halliwell history?" Prue asked.
Beth nodded. "Well, I'm better versed on the house's structure than its inhabitants."
"The professor's tenured at Berkeley," Claire explained.
"Architectural history," Beth went on. "As a matter of fact, I use your house as an example in one of my lectures."
"Really?" Prue asked. "Well, do you mention the leaky roof and the limited hot water?"
Beth chuckled in amusement. "Well, the original house that stood on that spot was a masterpiece. But it had to be rebuilt after the earthquake of 1906 when it was completely destroyed."
Prue nodded. "That's right around the time my great-grandparents moved in."
"Metaphysicists beleive the land to be what they call a spiritual nexus," Beth explained.
"But it's still standing after this morning's rumble," Claire told them. "So, okay, gotta go, gotta go. See you at seven. Plus one."
They left.

Wine Store
Phoebe and Poppy were walking through the wine store, getting the wine for the dinner.
Prue called Poppy from work.
Poppy answered her phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, how's my favorite sister?" Prue asked.
"You want something," Poppy told her. "I know you want something."
"Look, my boss just told me it's plus one," Prue told her. "I am so sorry."
"Plus one?" Poppy repeated. "But we've already bought... Oh, whatever. You owe us."
Poppy hung up.
Phoebe was at a counter, trying to grab a bottle of wine.
A guy named Josh took it before she could.
Phoebe looked at him in annoyance. "Excuse me, that's..."
"Callara Jensen, '93," Josh finished. "Last bottle."
"Mine," Phoebe told him. "Um, look, why don't you try this?" She picked up a different bottle of wine. "It's got a real brusque flavor, good nose, great vintage. It's probably better than the Callara."
"I'm impressed," Josh told her. "But why do you want it so bad?"
"Because it's got a great body," Phoebe told him sarcastically. "Look, my sister is making Coca Vin, and she needs that bottle more than you do."
"Look, I'm sorry, but I've already been to three wine stores, lunch break is long over, and I was told that this was the bottle to get," Josh told her.
"Told?" Phoebe repeated.
"Well, the woman who recommended this grew up in a vineyard, and she does know how to choose wine," Josh told her.
"Yeah, well, I grew up in a house with four sisters, and I know how to get what I want because I'm a wi--" Phoebe started.
Poppy walked closer, putting a hand on Phoebe's mouth. "Ner. Winner. She's used to getting her way. Excuse us for a minute." She pulled Phoebe aside. "Are you out of your mind?"
"Piper needs that wine to make the Coca Vin to make Prue and her boss happy, Poppy," Phoebe told her. "I found this spell in the Book of Shadows that can bend his will to mine."
"You can't," Poppy told her. "We can't use our powers for personal gain."
"Yeah, but it's not really personal gain exactly, if we're trying to make Piper and Prue happy, is it?" Phoebe asked.
Poppy gave her a look. "Phoebe!"
Phoebe sighed, knowing that she was right. "Damn it."
Poppy pulled Phoebe past the guy. "You can keep the wine."
Poppy and Phoebe walked out, leaving.

Halliwell Manor - Foyer

She heard the gas man's voice from the basement. "Help me! Help me!"

Kitchen
Parker ran to the kitchen. "Where are you?"
"Please help me!" the gas man told her.
"Uh, what's wrong?" Parker asked.
"I--I fell," the gas man told her. "I think I might have sprained something, my ankle. I could really use a hand down here."
Parker muttered to herself. "Right, a hand. Um... okay." She called down to the basement. "Um, I'm coming."

Basement
Parker started to hesitantly walk down the stairs into the basement. "Hello?" She looked around the seemingly empty basement. "Where are you?" The gas man appeared behind her. Parker sensed him behind her, turning around. "I thought you said you were..."
Parker looked around.
The black smoke floated out of the crack in the floor. "Parker. Your nightmares are true. I exist."
Parker shook her head in denial. "No. I'm a good witch. You can't take me."
"You'll fight me at first," the black smoke told her. "But in the end... you'll do everything I ask."
The black smoke floated inside Parker.

Foyer
Phoebe and Poppy returned home with the groceries, walking through the threshold of the foyer, receiving an electric shock.
"Maybe we should call someone to check the electricity, too," Phoebe told her.
Poppy nodded.
Kit ran past them, out of the door.
"Kit?" Poppy asked. "Hey! Parker?"

Kitchen
Phoebe and Poppy carried the groceries into the kitchen. The gas man appeared behind them. Phoebe and Poppy put the groceries down, turning around, jumping in surprise.
Poppy sighed. "God. You scared us."
"Is everything okay with the house?" Phoebe asked.
"It will be," the gas man told them.
"Good," Phoebe told him. "Could I get ETA? Because we're gonna have two very stressed out sisters. Have you seen our other sister?" The gas man grabbed Phoebe's hands, holding them together, restraining her. "Hey!"
The gas man grabbed a carving fork.
Poppy grabbed a cutting board, hitting the gas man over the head with it, making him fall unconscious.
Parker walked up from the basement, seeming different. "You guys okay?"
"Parker, he just..." Poppy trailed off.
"It's okay, it's okay," Parker told them.
Phoebe sighed. "We gotta call 911."

Outside
The police and the ambulance was outside the manor.
Andy and Darryl were talking.
"This doesn't track," Andy told him.
"What's that?" Darryl asked.
"I just got background on the gas man," Andy told him. "He doesn't have a record, not even a parking ticket. A family man, church volunteer, Little League coach."
"When good coaches go bad, it makes me go bye," Darryl told him.
Prue and Piper walked up to them.
"Andy, what's going on?" Prue asked.
"Everything's fine," Andy told her. "There was an incident a moment ago when the gas man was checking your house. Got a little rough with Phoebe and Poppy. Don't worry. They and Parker are fine."

Inside - Living Room
Prue and Piper walked inside, receiving an electric shock when they walked through the front door. They walked into the living room.
Phoebe, Poppy and Parker were waiting.
"Hey, Phoebe," Piper told her. "Poppy? Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"No," Phoebe answered. "Forget it. I'm--I'm fine. He attacked me, and then Poppy stopped him."
Poppy sighed. "Tonight's gonna be fine. Everything will be fine."

Parker walked down into the basement, turning to look at her shadow on the wall. She held out her hand, thinking for a moment, making a piece of gum appear in her hand. She put it in her mouth, starting to chew. "Thanks for my new power."
"You must use your powers against your sisters," Woogyman told her.
Parker shook her head. "Please don't make me do this. I don't want to hurt them."
"Parker, you are not strong enough to fight me," Woogyman told her.
Parker looked at her own shadow expressionlessly.

Piper, Phoebe and Poppy were in the kitchen.
Piper went to turn on the blender, but got an electric shock, gasping in pain.
Prue walked in. "There is larva water spewing from the shower heads. Did you turn off the water heater again?"
"No," Phoebe answered. "No, I..."
Piper went to turn on the food processor, getting another electric shock, gasping in pain. "All right, the earthquake must have messed u the wiring or something. Try cooking a feast when your own kitchen is attacking you."
"Just relax," Poppy told her. "We still have an hour before..."
The doorbell rang.
Piper looked at her watch. "It's 7:00. How can that be? The--the--the clock on the microwave says..."
The clock on the microwave was flashing.
"Something weird is going on," Phoebe told them.
Parker walked out of the basement. "Is anyone going to answer that?"
The sisters looked at her in surprise.
"Parker?" Prue asked.
"Wait, am I seeing things?" Poppy asked. "Or did you just come from the basement? Wait, what about the Woogyman?"
"It's just a story, remember?" Parker asked. "You should probably finish getting ready."

Piper, Phoebe and Poppy were still trying to get things in the kitchen to work.
"Everything is fine," Poppy told them. "This is fine."
Piper poured flour into a measuring cup, missing. "This is an utter disaster. We are good people. What did we do to deserve this?"
Piper buried her face in her hands.
Josh walked in with the bottle of wine. "Prue told me to give this to the chef."
Phoebe looked at him in surprise. "You!"
"Most people call me Josh," Josh told them. "I, uh... wow. I work for Professor Whittlesey."
"You're the plus one," Poppy realized.
Josh nodded, holding up the bottle. "Last bottle." He looked at Piper. "Uh, you have flour on your right, uh..." Piper tried to wipe the flour off her face, missing half of it. "Perfect."
Josh walked out, leaving.
Parker walked on. "Are you planning on feeding the people in the living room?"
"Of course," Piper answered. "Um, we've got..." She looked at Phoebe and Poppy. "What have we got?"
"We've got duck medallion in the roasting pan," Phoebe answered.
"No, no," Piper told them. "That's supposed to be part of dinner." Phoebe and Poppy gave her a look. Piper sighed. "Okay, now, I guess it's an appetizer. Okay, go, go. Mingle, mingle, mingle."

Beth, Claire and Josh were sitting at the dining room table.

Prue walked in.
"Prue, there you are," Claire told her. Parker walked in with a platter. "Well, what do we have here?"
Parker put the platter on the table. "Duck medallion." She lifted the lid, revealing a real duck inside. "Sans medallions."
Everyone laughed.
Prue chuckled nervously. "That's my sister, the magician. Usually, it's a dove or a rabbit."

Kitchen
Piper was still trying to cook in the kitchen.
Phoebe and Poppy were pouring wine.
"Lightly simmering," Piper told them. She turned on the stove. Big flames appeared on the stove. "Okay, okay. Sabotaged. I am being sabotaged."
Parker leaned against the doorway, smirking, obviously being the one who set the flames. She pretended as if she wasn't, using her fire magic to put the flames out. "There you go. What's happening?"
"There is something terribly wrong with the house," Poppy answered. Parker looked at the sink, hiding a smirk. Brown, dirty water squirted up out of the drain in the sink. "Oh, my God. Oh, my God, call the plumber."
Piper, Phoebe and Poppy walked toward the sink to see what was wrong, not knowing that Parker was using her water power to do this.
A knife appeared in Parker's hand.
"This is a complete and total disaster," Piper told them. Parker walked closer from behind them. "Someone just kill me now and spare me the agony of clean up."
Parker tilted her head. "Ask and you shall receive."
Josh walked in.
Parker's knife disappeared.
"Everything all right in here?" Josh asked. Piper, Phoebe and Poppy turned to face them. "Do people pay you to do this?"
"Parker, could you please escort Mr. Congeniality out of here please?" Phoebe asked in annoyance. "Now."
"And get Prue," Piper told her. "Tell her it's an emergency."
Parker turned to look at Josh behind her, smirking, tilting her head.

Beth and Prue were talking in the living room.
"There's no other house in the city quite like yours," Beth told her.
"Because of its architecture?" Prue asked.
"Because of its location," Beth answered.
"Right, you mentioned that," Prue told her. "Something about some sort of spiritual..."
"Nexus," Beth finished. "It's mythology really, but it's believed that when a geographical point is equidistant to the five spiritual elements, it's a place of great power."
The lights flickered on and off.
"Power failure," Prue told her. "Um, I don't know what's going on, but I apologize for any inconvenience."
Parker walked toward them. "Prue, guess what? Piper, Phoebe and Poppy need you in the kitchen. Oh, don't worry. I'll take very good care of your guests." Prue sighed, walking into the kitchen. Parker looked at Beth, smirking. "You came to see the house. Would you like to see the grand tour?"
"Mm-hmm," Beth answered.
Parker smiled. "Mm."
Parker led Beth further into the house.

Kitchen
Prue walked into the kitchen to join the other sisters.
Piper was sitting on the floor, kicking her feet against the floor with her hands over her head in a little tantrum. She put her feet and hands on the floor, sighing.
Phoebe put her hand to her head.
Poppy sighed.
Prue walked closer. "Okay, Poppy, aren't you the same girl who said, and I quote, 'Everything will be fine'?"
Poppy helped Piper up from the floor, looking at Prue, nodding. "Yep."
"And?" Prue asked.
"It's not," Phoebe answered. "I don't know what it is, but it's like the house is possessed. I mean, the fire on the stove, and the dirty, mucky water in the sink..."
Prue looked at them in surprise. "Fire and water?"
Poppy realized what she was saying, pointing at her. "No, no, no. Parker is not doing this."
"Fire and water are her powers," Prue told them.
"Look, I know she's been acting really weird lately, but she wanted..." Piper trailed off. "I would argue if I could think of another option."
Claire walked in. "Uh, Prue?" The duck walked in past her. Claire jumped. "May I speak to you for a second?"
"Yes," Prue answered. "I'll be out in one second, Claire."
Claire walked out, leaving.
"What do we do?" Phoebe asked.
"I--I don't know," Piper told them. "But I can't cook this meal, not in this kitchen. And--and it's too late to get it from Quake."
"Okay, um, let's just end it now before it gets any worse," Prue told them. "Be my wingmen?"
"Mm-hmm," Poppy answered.
They walked out of the kitchen through one door.
Beth and Parker walked in through another door.
"Really, I don't need to see the basement," Beth told her.
"Are you kidding?" Parker asked. "It's the best part of the house. After you."
They walked into the basement.

The other four sisters walked into the foyer to join Josh and Claire.
Claire looked at Prue. "Well, as hostess, it's sometimes helpful to be present at the party."
"Uh, Claire, I am so sorry, but I'm gonna have to cut this evening short," Prue told her.
"We're experiencing some technical difficulties," Phoebe told them.
"What?" Claire asked. "Do you realize what you're doing?"
"Yes," Prue answered. "And I think I'm doing it just in time."
"There is a table waiting for all of you at Quake, on the house," Piper told them.
Poppy whispered to Piper. "There is?"
Piper whispered to Poppy. "There will be." She looked at Josh and Claire. "Where's Parker?"
Josh looked around. "I think she's giving the professor a..."
Beth walked closer. "Tour. She showed me the bedrooms, the solarium. I found the basement particularly intriguing."
"Beth, are you okay?" Claire asked.
"Fine," Beth answered.
"Okay, dinner has been changed," Prue told them. "We're having it somewhere else, okay?"
"Oh, Professor, I'm sorry you didn't get to spend more time in the house," Claire told her.
"My time was well spent," Beth told them.
Josh and Beth walked out, leaving.
Claire looked at Prue. "I'm looking forward to hearing your explanation for tonight's event. Need a ride?"
"I just have to tie up a few loose ends here," Prue told her. "I'll try to make it."
"Try hard," Claire told her, walking out, leaving.

"Interrogation," Phoebe answered.
Parker opened the front door, leaning against the doorway. "Are you looking for me?"
The four sisters turned to face her.
"Why are you doing this?" Poppy asked.
"Because he asked me to," Parker answered.
"Who asked you to?" Piper asked.
"Okay, that's it," Prue told them, walking up the stairs toward Parker. "We need to..."
Prue reached the doorway. Electricity prevented her from entering. She was shocked backward, falling to the grass.
Piper, Phoebe and Poppy ran to her side.
"Oh, Prue," Piper told her. "Are you okay? Parker, what's wrong with you? Why won't you let us in?"
Parker shook her head. "No, you can't. You shouldn't. You don't live here anymore." Her voice turned demonic. "He does."
Parker let go of the door. She waved two fingers, using magic to close the door.

Day Two
Morning - Halliwell Manor - Outside
Prue, Piper, Poppy and Phoebe were sitting outside.
Piper was looking through the news paper.
Poppy had her head on Piper's shoulder, curled up.
"Okay, we have been up all night," Prue told them. "We've tried everything. If our powers can't get us into the house, what can?"
Poppy sat up.
Phoebe stood, walking up the stone steps, picking up a brick from nearby, throwing it at the window.
The electricity prevented the brick from breaking the window or entering the house, making it fall to the ground.
"That helped," Phoebe told them sarcastically.
"You know, yesterday, Prue and I got shocked when we walked through the front door," Piper told them.
"Me and Phoebe, too," Poppy told them. "Do you think that's when all this started?"
Phoebe walked closer. "Define this. Our house has turned against us, and so has our sister."
The other sisters stood. They started to walk down the steps.
"This is more than just Parker," Piper told them. "She said that he told her to do this. So, who is he, and what does he want with Parker?"
"Maybe that's the problem," Prue told them. "We've been focusing on Parker. Maybe that's not the point."
"Then what is?" Piper asked.
They stopped walking.
"Location," Prue answered. "Whatever has the house, has her, too. And it's not letting us in for a reason."
"And we can't get to the Book of Shadows to find out what it is," Phoebe told them. "So, we know nothing."
"Yes, we do," Prue told them. "There's someone that knows the house better than we do. Come on."
They walked away from the house.

Inside
Parker walked out of the kitchen, into the hallway, underneath a light.
The light flickered.
Wallpaper started to unpeel and fall once she passed.
Parker dialed a number on the house phone. She walked through the conservatory, past the glass doors.
The glass in the doors shattered once she passed.
Parker walked into the foyer, making the call. "Yes, I would like a pizza delivered to my home." Thunder rumbled. "Well, whenever you do open, then." She stopped next to the staircase, leaning against the railing. "I don't care what you put on the thing. Just make sure somebody delivers it." Thunder rumbled loudly. "1329, Prescott Street. I'll be waiting."
Parker hung up, walking past a picture of Grams on the wall, waving her hand toward it.
The picture of Grams started to burn, catching fire.

University
The police were taking Beth away.
Prue, Phoebe, Piper and Poppy walked toward Josh.
"Hey, what happened?" Piper asked.
"Uh, I don't know," Josh told them. "Professor Whittlesey had just begun her seminar and she turned and started choking me. If one of her students hadn't pulled her off..."
"Oh, my God," Phoebe told him. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Josh answered. "I just, uh, don't know why she snapped like that."
They walked along.
"Okay," Prue told him. "Josh, do you know anything about what she said to Claire? Something about a spiritual nexus?"
"She brought that up?" Josh asked. "Wow. The professor usually doesn't go in for that metaphysical mythology."
"Yeah, well, you know Claire," Prue told him. "When she gets her claws into something, she can't seem to forget about it."
"You know, I've met people like that," Josh told them, looking at Phoebe. Phoebe looked away. "A spiritual nexus is a point of incredible energy."
"Equidistant from the five spiritual elements," Piper told them.
"That's right," Josh agreed. "The place or thing that can persuade either way."
"Either way?" Poppy repeated.
They stopped walking.
"Yeah," Josh answered. "It could be a source of undeniable good or undeniable evil. Uh, look, ladies, I'm gonna follow her and make sure she's okay. Feel free to browse around our office if you think it will help."
Josh walked away, leaving.
The sisters watched him go.

Beth's Office
The four sisters were in the office, looking at maps.
"Okay, to find a way back in, we have to know what we're up against," Prue told them. "The professor said that a true spiritual nexus is equidistant from the five elements. So, that's earth, fire, water, air and metal."
"Five earthly elements," Poppy told them. "You know there's more than that?"
"You're obsessed with knowing everything about elements, aren't you, Poppy?" Piper asked.
"Since Parker and I control two elements each, yeah," Poppy answered.
"Okey-dokey," Piper told them. "Equidistant. Here is the manor. All right." Prue put a dot on the manor. Piper used a string to measure the distance from the manor to the nearby lake. "Uh, the bay. Water." Prue put a dot there. Piper rotated the string to find a place for fire. "Natural hot spring."
Prue put a dot there. "Fire. What about air?"
"The wind mill next to the park that Mom used to take us to," Phoebe answered.
Piper rotated the string to see the wind mill was equidistant from the manor.
Prue put a dot there.
"Uh, three out of five," Poppy told them. "Earth?"
Piper rotated the string to find another spot. "Twin peaks. Highest point in the city."
Prue put a dot there. "And last but not least, metal."
"Tiffany's," Poppy told them.
"Cute," Prue told her. "Natural metal."
"Um, okay," Poppy told them. "Uh, fourth grade field trip, Parker and I panned for gold."
"Where was that?" Phoebe asked.
Poppy pointed at the spot on the map.
Piper measured the distance with the string, seeing it was equidistant.
Prue put a dot there. "Okay."
Prue took a marker, linking all the dots, keeping the lines straight with the help from a ruler, creating a pentagram around the manor.
"Our house was built in the center of a pentagram," Piper told them.
Poppy pointed at one point of the pentagram. "Parker." She pointed at another point. "Prue." She pointed at another point. "Piper." She pointed at another point. "Phoebe." She pointed at the last point of the pentagram. "Me."
"Looks like it's not just on a spiritual nexus, but a wiccan one as well," Prue told them. "Which means it's a battleground for good and evil."
"And what happens once evil has the house?" Phoebe asked.
"It spreads," Prue answered. "We'd have to check the Book of Shadows to be sure, but I'd bet that there is a reason why our family built the house there. To reclaim the spot for good."
"And now I'm thinking evil wants it back," Poppy told them.
"Yeah, and it's taking Parker with it," Piper told them.
The four sisters looked from each other to the pentagram on the map.

Halliwell Manor - Outside
Darryl and Andy pulled up to the Halliwell manor, getting out of their car.
"Why's it feel like we live here?" Darryl asked.
They saw two neighbors fighting across the street.
"Which one do you want?" Andy asked.
Darryl pointed at the fight. "I'll take that one. I could use the change of scenery."
"See you back here," Andy told him.
Darryl walked across the street to stop the fight.
Andy walked up the stairs of the manor toward the front door, about to knock.
Parker opened it before he could. "Hello, Inspector."
"Parker, hey," Andy told her. "I stopped by to..."
"Just in time," Parker told him. "I think there might be a gas leak, and I'm home all alone. Do you think you could look it over?"
"Sure," Andy answered.
Parker allowed him to walk inside. "Down in the basement."
Andy walked out of the foyer.
Parker turned to the door, smirking, using magic to close the door, following Andy.

Outside
Darryl was trying to break up the fight between the two neighbors. Piper's car parked outside the manor. Piper, Prue, Phoebe and Poppy got out of the car.
Darryl looked at Neighbor 1. "So, he came out of his house, walked over here, and started throwing things?"
"No, not out of his house," Neighbor 1 answered. "Out of the Halliwells'."
The four sisters walked closer.
Darryl looked at the sisters. "Really?"
"Hey, Morris," Phoebe told him. "Neighborhood watch?"
"Had a woman brought into the station house today," Darryl told them. "Wasn't feeling too well. Spent last night at your house. Professor Beth Whittlesey."
"Is she okay?" Prue asked.
"Not at the moment," Darryl answered. "She's under observation."
Neighbor 2 pushed Neighbor 1.
"Paul, what the hell's the matter with you?" Neighbor 1 asked.
Paul glared at him. "Nothing."
Darryl rolled his eyes, looking at the sisters. "I'm occupied right now. Andy would like to ask you a few questions. He's inside."
Paul looked at Neighbor 1. "Keep your trashcans out of my driveway."
The four sisters walked toward the house, up the steps.
"Wait," Poppy told them. "If Andy is in the house, and Paul was in the house, there must be a way for us to get in."
"We better hope so," Piper told them. "Otherwise, there's no way to get to the Book of Shadows."
Andy opened the front door.
The sisters gasped, running into hiding.
Phoebe looked at Piper. "Freeze him."
"No, wait," Piper told them.
"What are you doing?" Prue asked.
"Shh," Piper told them.
Andy stepped through the threshold of the Halliwell manor.
Piper froze him when he was passing through the entrance.
"What was that?" Phoebe asked.
"The house is letting him out, right?" Piper asked. "This is the only second that its guard is down."
"You're brilliant," Poppy told her.
"Thank you," Piper told her.
The four sisters stepped out of hiding, walking toward Andy and the front door, walking inside.

Inside - Foyer
Parker was in the foyer behind Andy, frozen.
The sisters looked at Parker in shock, concerned.
"Oh, my," Prue told them. "She's frozen."
Phoebe didn't realize what they had. "Good."
"No, no, no," Poppy told them. "Remember, our powers don't work on good witches."
Phoebe realized. "Oh, that means she's--"
"We've lost her," Piper told them.
"Okay," Poppy told them. "Let's go get her back." She ran toward the stairs. "Run."
Piper, Prue and Phoebe followed Poppy upstairs toward the attic.
Time unfroze.
Andy walked out of the manor, leaving.
Parker closed the door behind him, walking away.

The two neighbors were yelling at each other.
Darryl was trying to stop them from fighting, noticing Andy walking closer. "Wanna give me a hand here, partner?" Andy got out his gun, going to shoot. Darryl stopped him. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Andy!" He threw him on the ground, grabbing his gun. "What the hell was that?"
"Huh?" Andy asked. "I have no idea."

Halliwell Manor - Attic
Poppy and Prue were looking through the Book of Shadows.
Piper and Phoebe were pacing anxiously, impatiently.
"Faster would be good," Phoebe told them.
"There is nothing here," Poppy told them. "We don't even know what we're fighting."
"Our sister," Piper told them.
"No, it's more than that," Prue told them. "All right, when in doubt, start at the beginning. What happened first?"
"Gas man attacked me," Phoebe told them.
"Before that," Prue told them.
"The earthquake," Piper answered. "Which is why the gas man was here to check the leak in the basement."
"And before Professor Whittlesey freaked out, she took her around the house, including the basement," Prue told them.
Poppy winced in realization. "Ooh."
"Noises don't help," Phoebe told her.
"The gas man said that's where Parker was," Poppy told them. "And we know she's been down there."
"No, Poppy, it was just a story," Phoebe told her.
"Are you so sure?" Poppy asked. "We've seen monsters and demons from the past and future. How can you be so sure that Parker's childhood monster isn't real?"
"The Woogyman in the basement?" Phoebe asked skeptically.
"Parker swore she saw something down there, Phoebe," Piper told her. "And that's when Grams started telling us the story of how to destroy it. And there was an earthquake that night, too, remember? So, maybe that's how it gets out."
"Piper..." Phoebe trailed off.
"We've been looking in the wrong lace," Prue told them. "How to vanquish the demon isn't in the Book of Shadows. It's in Grams' story."
"So, it wasn't a story?" Piper asked. "It was a spell?"
"All right, the Woogyman is a real demon, so Parker was right," Phoebe told them. "Now, how did it go?"
"Uh, something about a Woogyman and Grams fought it," Poppy answered.
"That's it?" Phoebe asked. "That's all that you remember?"
"I was five years old," Poppy told them in defense. "You guys were older. Don't you remember anything?"
"I--I--I remember that it was sort of like a rhyme, sounded like a children's song," Prue answered.
The sisters walked toward the door.
"Well, we better figure it out fast, or we're gonna have a whole lot..." Piper trailed off, opening the attic door.
Parker walked in, using magic to throw Piper, Phoebe and Prue out of the attic and down the stairs. She used magic to slam the door closed, locking it. She turned to Poppy, smirking.
Poppy looked terrified.
In the hallway, Prue, Phoebe and Piper stood, running toward the door.
"Poppy!" Piper told her. "Parker!"
In the attic, Parker held her hand in front of her, materializing a sword into her hand. She looked at Poppy, smiling. "Any fantasies about how you want to die?"
"Parker, listen to me," Poppy told her. "This isn't you."
Parker stepped closer. "Give the girl a prize."
Prue tried to use her power to open the attic door. "Poppy!"
Parker held her hand toward the attic door, using magic to keep it closed. She stepped closer to Poppy with the sword raised.
Poppy backed away. "Look, whatever is doing this hasn't completely beaten you. Otherwise, we would be dead by now."
"Really?" Parker asked sarcastically.
"Parker!" Prue told her.
"Parker, you are stronger than him," Poppy told her.
"I mean it!" Piper told them.
Parker shook her head. "No, I wasn't. That's why he chose me." Her voice turned demonic. "But now I'm stronger than you."
Parker raised the sword to slash into Poppy.
Poppy focused on the air around Parker, taking it away from her so that she couldn't breathe.
Parker had to stop from delivering the blow, gasping for breath. Eventually, the lack of air was enough to make her drop the sword and fall to the floor, unconscious.
Poppy ran past Parker's unconscious body toward the attic door. "Prue, now!"
Prue used her power to throw the door open.

Foyer
The other four sisters ran out of the attic, down the stairs.
Phoebe ran toward the front door.
"Phoebe, where are you going?" Piper asked.
Phoebe opened the door, turning to face them. "It's not just Parker we're fighting. It's the house. It's everything."
Phoebe turned toward the door.
"Phoebe, don't!" Poppy told her.
Phoebe tried to walk out of the house. The electricity prevented her from leaving, shocking her backward to the floor.
Prue was horrified. "Oh, God." They ran to Phoebe's side, helping her stand. "Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not, and neither are any of you," Phoebe answered. "We're locked in this house, and our sister's trying to kill us."
The front door closed on its own.
The sisters were horrified.

Phoebe, Prue, Piper and Poppy were standing in the conservatory, talking.
"All right, the answer must be in Grams' Woogyman story," Prue told them.
"Which none of us remember," Phoebe told them.
"Yeah, but we have to keep trying," Piper told them.
Poppy sighed worriedly.

Attic
Parker was still unconscious, on the floor of the attic from lack of oxygen. She started to wake up, catching her breath. She remembered what happened, angry, standing, walking out of the attic, walking downstairs.
She heard Piper's voice. "There has to be a way out of here."
She heard Prue's voice. "We've tried everything, Piper."
She heard Piper's voice. "Besides, the only way to help Parker is from inside."
Parker smirked, walking down the remainder of the stairs.
She heard Phoebe's voice. "Help her kill us, maybe."

Conservatory
The other sisters were still talking in the conservatory.
"Yeah, well, we have to keep trying," Prue told them.
They heard Parker's voice. "Poppy! Prue! Help me!"
Piper was hesitant to believe. "Do you think..."
They heard Parker's voice. "Phoebe! You gotta help me! Piper, please! Down in the basement!"
Phoebe shook her head. "Trap."
"Yeah," Poppy agreed. "Well, what else can we do?"
"We could not go to the basement," Phoebe answered. "I'd vote for that."
"Grams must have thought that this evil might come back, and that's why she told us the story," Prue told them.
"Well, how do we remember the words?" Piper asked. "I never even believed in the Woogyman."
"No, but Parker did," Prue told them. "She knows the story by heart."
"Something tells me she's not in the mood to share," Phoebe told them.
"Parker thinks that the Woogyman chose her because she was weak," Poppy told them. "I think he did it because he knew that she knew how to get rid of him, but if he had control over her..."
"She wouldn't be able to," Prue finished. "All right. We know that the source of his power is in the basement, so if we can weaken him, then maybe we can weaken his hold on Parker. At least long enough for her to tell us the spell."
"How do we do that?" Piper asked. "We don't even know what it is or how to fight it."
They heard Parker's voice. "Help! Please, I need you!"

Kitchen
They walked into the kitchen, toward the open basement door.
"Okay," Prue told them. "Um... We have no choice. So, we're gonna need a, uh..."
Poppy was thinking. "Light." Piper walked toward a drawer, opening it, pulling out a flashlight. "No. The light. Grams' story, remember? She said something about using it to guide you through the shadow. Or was it to the shadow?"
"But that doesn't make sense," Piper told them. "Using a light to find a shadow? Shadows retreat from the light. And they thrive in the darkness." She pointed at the ceiling, at the broken lights that left them only able to see because the sunlight flooding in through the windows. "Kind of like this."
"Or in the basement," Phoebe told them. "Maybe that's what we're fighting. A shadow."
Prue nodded. "Okay. Let's fight it."

Basement
They hesitantly started to walk down the stairs into the basement.
"Parker?" Piper called.
Prue shone the flashlight onto the black smoke. "Oh, God. There. You see that?"
The sisters watched the Woogyman nervously.
Parker appeared in the doorway of the basement. "What took you so long?"
They looked at Parker.
Parker smirked.
Prue used her power to close the door. "One evil at a time." She looked at Piper. "Okay, uh, freeze it."
Piper tried to freeze the Woogyman.
The Woogyman laughed.
"It's not working," Piper told them. She looked at Prue. "Can't you, uh..."
Prue tried to use her power to move the Woogyman. "No, my powers aren't working on it, either."
Poppy used a wind to blow through the entire room, pushing the air toward the Woogyman, but it didn't budge. She let the air fade completely. "Me, neither."
Parker used magic to open the basement door.
"Parker, you've got to listen to us," Phoebe told her.
Parker smirked, materializing a dagger into her hand, raising it for them to see. "You're in no position to tell me what to do."
"Remember Grams' story, the one about the Woogyman, about the light?" Phoebe asked.
"Come on, Parker, try," Piper told her.
They were starting to reach through to Parker.
Parker looked scared and guilty. "I can't." She backed away, shaking her head. "Don't make me. Don't like the basement."
"It's no use," the Woogyman told them. "Your sister's evil now."
"Come on, Parker," Prue told her. "You've got to fight it. You're good."
Parker seemed to be under the spell again, smirking evilly.
Phoebe put her hand on the railing of the stairs, gasping, receiving a premonition.
In the premonition, Grams was fighting against the Woogyman. Her hand was on the railing of the stairs, in the same place Phoebe's hand was in the present. She had her other hand raised toward the Woogyman.
Young Parker stood at the top of the stairs. "Grams?"
"Parker, go on back to bed, honey," Grams told her. "Go on."
Young Parker didn't move, terrified at the sight of the Woogyman.
The Woogyman laughed evilly.
In the present, Phoebe was using the same words that Grams had used to get through to Parker. "Parker, go on back to bed, honey. Go on."
Parker looked at her in surprise. "Phoebe. You can see it."
"Yes," Parker answered. "I can see what she did. But she didn't do it alone. You helped her send the Woogyman away the first time, remember? You helped her chant the spell. I need you to help me now. I am light."
Parker was shaking, stepping closer down the stairs. "I am... light."
Two bright orbs of white light floated into the basement.
The Woogyman surrounded Piper, Prue and Poppy.
Phoebe and Parker said the spell together. "I am one too strong to fight." More lights appeared. "Return to dark where shadows dwell." Parker became stronger, less fearful, more fearless, angry at what he had made her do. "You cannot have this Halliwell."
"Keep it going, Parker," Poppy told her. "Go on, Phoebe."
The Woogyman backed away from Poppy, Prue and Piper.
Phoebe and Parker continued the spell. "Go away, and leave my sight."
"What are you doing?" the Woogyman asked.
Phoebe and Parker continued the spell. "And take with you this endless night."
The Woogyman growled. "Parker! No!"
The five sisters repeated the chant together. "I am light. I am one too strong to fight. Return to the dark where shadows dwell. You can not have this Halliwell. Go away and leave my sight. And take with you the endless night."
The Woogyman was enveloped with the white orbs. He was slowly pulled back into the crack in the ground.
Upstairs, the wallpaper that had unpeeled fixed themselves.
The lights fixed themselves.
The broken windows fixed themselves.
In the basement, the Woogyman was completely in the crack in the ground again.
Poppy used her earth power to heal the broken earthly floor.
The crack was now nonexistent.
Upstairs, the picture of Grams on the wall that Parker had burned healed, fixing itself as if nothing had happened.
The lights turned on, brightening the entire manor.
In the basement, Parker was completely free, lowering to sit on the steps, exhausted and guilt-ridden.
Poppy, Prue, Phoebe and Piper walked closer in concern.
Phoebe and Poppy sat on either side of Parker on the same step, holding their arms around her.
Piper and Prue knelt in front of Parker, holding her hands, putting their other hands on her knees comfortingly, soothingly.
Parker was still guilty and exhausted.

Phoebe knocked on the door. "Anybody home?"
Josh looked up. "Office hours aren't until five. Phoebe, what are you doing here?"
"I just came by to see how you..." Phoebe trailed off. "Professor Whittlesey was doing."
"She seems better," Josh answered. "She hasn't choked anybody lately."
Phoebe nodded. "Good. So you'd say she's back to normal?"
"Yeah," Josh answered. "Although she's been censured for her behavior. Has to sit before the university board, and for now, it looks like I'm covering the classes."
"Oh, that's too bad," Phoebe told him. "I mean, I don't mean you. I mean..."
"I know what you mean," Josh told her. "Oh, by the way, I have something for you."
Josh handed her a bottle of wine.
Phoebe checked it. "Calera Jensen '93."
"Battles have been waged over this wine," Josh remarked.
Phoebe chuckled. "Not today. I'm too tired. It's actually very nice."
"Don't sound so surprised," Josh told her. "You know I am capable of a kind act or two."
Phoebe smirked. "That's good to know."
Phoebe left.

Night - Halliwell Manor - Attic
The sisters were cleaning up.
Prue was explaining. "So, Morris said that it was only a two week suspension."
"It doesn't seem fair," Poppy told them. "It wasn't even Andy's fault."
"Well, what were we gonna do?" Phoebe asked. "Plead shadows?"
"Anyway, everyone seems to be back to normal, but that doesn't erase their actions," Piper told them.
"Yeah, well, I wish it did," Prue told them. "It could get me off Claire's bad side, if she has a good one."
"I'm beginning to wonder if I have a good one," Parker told them. The other sisters looked at her. "Well, I am. I mean, not any more so than anyone else."
"Yeah, well, the important thing is the good side won out," Piper told them.
"Yeah, but I must have been more susceptible than either one of you, otherwise he wouldn't have chosen me, right?" Parker asked. "Right?"
"Parker, you and Poppy were the only ones that were born in this house," Piper told her. "That makes you and Poppy more connected to it. That spiritual nexus thing. And other than that, he chose you because he knew that you knew the spell to seal him away, and he thought that you wouldn't be strong enough to break through his spell and use it against him."
"I was barely able to," Parker told her. "But you're right, Piper. Poppy and I were born in the house, and that means we're more connected to it, which means that we could go either way. Good or evil. Kinda freaky. I do have to tell you, I am gonna miss that cool power, though."
"Um, if Grams put away the shadow, and it came back..." Piper trailed off.
"Means it can come back again," Phoebe finished.
"Okay, it's time," Prue told them. "Every witch before us has added to the Book of Shadows. We need to warn who comes next. It's our turn."
"Who should do it?" Parker asked.
The other sisters gave her a look.
Poppy handed a pen to Parker.
Parker found a blank page in the Book of Shadows, starting to write down the spell to seal the Woogyman away.
