Chapter 15
Caroline and Bonnie were making peace on the other room.
I could feel Elena's burning stare on the side of my head as I read a book.
"You're staring, Lena" I sing sang
"Amelia?" Elena questioned "How come you didn't tell me?"
"Elena, a ghost haunted me in my sleep" I looked up, sarcastic "There I told you"
"That's not what I meant, Jill" Elena sighed in frustration "I'm your cousin. You can trust me with that kind of thing"
My eyes softened, "I know. But, it was nothing to worry about"
"It is if a ghost forced you to take that necklace back" Elena counteracted softly, "You had no control of what you were doing"
"I wasn't possessed if that's what you were thinking. I knew what I was doing, but I didn't know why" I explained, frustrated myself. "And it's not like it's an unusual thing" I murmured under my breath
Elena seemed to hear that, "What? What's that supposed to mean, Jillian?" She looked worried and a unsettled expression passed through her face "That happened before?"
"Maybe" I shrugged helplessly, "You should've heard me scream the other night" I said avoiding her eyes
Elena's eyes widened "Halloween night. Was that you screaming?"
I scratched the back of my neck, "Yes"
"Wow" Elena murmured, sheepishly placing a hand in her ear "You have a pair of lungs, Jill"
I looked at her suspiciously. Elena could never lie, "What aren't you telling me?"
Elena didn't answer. Huh, so is that payback?
I opened my mouth to speak when Caroline's voice from tbe other room interrupted me, "You guys can now come in"
I looked over to see Caroline peeking through the door with a sheepish look.
Elena gave me a look, "This isn't over" before smiling at her best friend and going to them
I was about to follow when a shiver went down my back. Gosebumps appeared in my arms making me confused. I gulped in slight fear as Bonnie called my name
"Jill. Everything okay?"
I looked up, eyes widening slightly when instead of Bonnie, a smiling Amelia was in her place. I cleared my throat when the ghost lifted a finger to her lips, signaling silence. "All good" I blinked and Amelia was gone, seeing a now concerned Bonnie in front of me
"What was it?" Bonnie asked in a hush.
"Amelia" I whispered, suddenly frightened. It felt like she was everywhere. Like she was taunting me about something I didn't know. "What the hell she wants?"
Bonnie's face hardened, "That's what we're gonna find out" she grasped my arm, leading me to Elena's room where Caroline and Elena were sitting on the floor, placing candles around them. "Caroline had an idea of a seance to find out what Amelia and Emily want from us"
Caroline looked up reassuringly, "They have a lot of explanation to do" she told me, closing her mouth as if stopping herself from saying something else. She patted the space next to her.
I hesitantly sat down, Bonnie next to me and Elena on the other side of Bonnie, creating a circle.
"This is a bad idea" I spoke, a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. Grams told me to start to learn to trust them and I was. This seance felt like a bad idea.
"Is your, you know what talking or is your nerves?" Bonnie glanced at me
I shot her a glare, "I'm nervous and it's my you know what"
"I don't" Elena spoke, catching our attention. I didn't answer, not wanting to tell her "Jill? Bonnie? What aren't you telling?"
"Nothing" I replied, grabbing Bonnie's hand and Caroline's with less hesitance "Let's do this"
Elena gave me a look I ignored. I wasn't going to tell my cousin I was a Banshee. Not even if she begged me. Finally I had a secret of my own that I could work without her help and I didn't want her getting her nose in it. I loved her but she was nosey and I didn't want to deal with that.
Caroline cleared her throat, closing her eyes.
They did the same but after a few seconds, Bonnie huffed through her lips "What are we doing?"
Elena opened her eyes, "I don't know"
I hadn't close them. I had a feeling I didn't need to.
"Be quiet and concentrate" Caroline opened her eyes, givng us a look "Close eyes. Now take a deep breath. Bonnie. Call to either of them"
"Emily, you there?"
"Oh, my God, Bon" I looked amused, rolling my eyes "Really?"
"'Emily, you there'?" Caroline repeated, backing me up. "That's all you got? Come on"
Bonnie gave both of us an exasperated look "Fine, geez. Emily. I call on you. I know you have a message. I'm here to listen"
A shiver immediately went through my back when the candles flared up stronger. I could see my breath in a fog in front of me
"Did that just..." Elena asked shocked
"Yeah, it just happened" Caroline stared at the candles, shocked.
"It's just the air conditioning" Bonnie tried to reassure
"She's here" I mumbled, loud enough for Caroline to hear.
Caroline glanced at me freaked out, "Ask her to show you a sign. Ask her" I shook my head violently
"Don't" I snapped
"Emily, if you're among us" Caroline ignored me, "Show us another sign" We waited expectantly but nothing happened. Still, I couldn't help but glance around. Someone was here. I couldn't tell who, but someone was here with us
"See? It's not working" Bonnie said before the windows burst open, scaring her. I didn't flinch, staring at a corner of the room. Emily is here. "I can't, I'm done" Bonnie ripped the necklace off her neck and threw it on the ground next to the candles which blew out, scaring her more "Get the light. Please, get the light!"
"Hold on" Elena stood up. Emily smiled at me patiently "I got it". A hush of air passed in front of me, making me look down to see the necklace gone "I got it"
"The necklace" I spoke, looking up completely calm "It's gone"
Bonnie looked at me with fear.
A small smile played on my lips.

My cousin and her best friends were still shocked about what happened.
I continued sitting on the floor completely calm, waiting for something.
"Okay, fun's over, Caroline, Jill" Elena looked at us, sternly. "You made a point, and I get it. Now give it back"
"What?" Caroline looked upset she was being blamed "Well, I didn't take it. Jill?"
I tilted my head aside, "Not on my pockets" I said, not moving.
Caroline looked back at Elena, throwing her hands up, confused "What happened?"
Elena shook her head confused "I don't know. Nothing. Jeremy, are you home?" Elena walked into the hall to check for her brother.
I stood up, walking slowly to the others "Told you they were here"
Caroline jumped at my voice, whirling to face me, "Jeez, didn't know you were sneaky" she placed a hand in her heart while Bonnie walked to the bathroom. "Are you alright? You seem very calm than before"
I smiled slightly, "I'm fine. Just waiting for my sister"
Caroline furrowed her eyebrows, warily.
I smiled calmly when the bathroom door suddenly got closed with Bonnie's terrified screams for help pounding on the door.
"Bonnie!" Caroline screamed, running to the door trying to pry it open
"Bonnie!" Elena returned to the room, doing the same as Caroline "Bonnie!"
I watched everything calmly, glancing at my reflection.
Only to not see myself in the mirror.
But Amelia

Once the pounding stopped, I walked to them giving them a look while twisting the doorknob.
The door got opened and there was Bonnie with her head in her hands.
I did not say a thing while Elena bombarded her with questions about if she was alright.
Bonnie met my eye from behind Elena's back.
I nodded curly, a small quirk of my lips
"Unbelievable" Caroline scoffed "You were totally faking it"
Elena frowned disapprovingly "Caroline, come on"
"No!" Caroline exclaimed "You scared the hell out of me. You, I did see it coming" she pointed at me. "But not you guys" she stormed out of the room
I exchanged a look with Bonnie, both of us eerily calm
Elena looked at her, "Bonnie?"
"I'm fine" Bonnie told her calmly. "Everything's fine"
Once she passed next to her, Bonnie offered her hand to me.
I accepted it with a slight smile, walking with her out of the room.
"We have to hurry" Bonnie murmured at me.
I glanced at the window, "Her power can help"
Bonnie hummed in agreement as we came across Caroline while we were rushing down the stairs
"I can't believe I fell for it" she told us, her and Elena running behind us.
Elena ignored her, calling to Bonnie "Are you okay?"
"We must go" Bonnie told her
I glanced at Elena, "It's not nice when you ignore your best friends"
"Let's go" Bonnie gave me a look.
"She's leaving. They're both leaving. I'm leaving too" Caroline said
"You guys can't leave" Elena told us
"I can" Caroline exclaimed "I've had enough freaky fake witch stuff for one night"
"Thank you for having us. We'll take it from here" I told them, politely
Elena frowned at me, "Where are you going guys?"
"Back to where it all began" Bonnie replied.
"Bonnie! Jill!" Elena called out to us before she gasped in realization "Oh, My God. Emily!" Bonnie turned around, "Amelia!"
Hearing that familiar name, I turned to my descendant's cousin. "It must be destroyed"
"I won't let him have it" Bonnie told her.
We exchanged a look before walking out of the house and sealing the door shut hearing Elena's exclaiming for us to wait.
Bonnie looked at me, holding up the necklace by it's chain, "Is the girl strong enough to break the necklace?"
A small proud smile played on my lips, "I do have a pair of lungs, Emily. And my witch half is a powerful one too like yours"
