For a while I could hear Rainn's giggling, as well as Rod's occasional laughter. Red's gleames of excitement seemed much more rare. Sin continued to bark away with excitement. It was clear that no one understood him when he tried to be apart of the conversation. Poor Sin.
I stared at the ceiling and sighed annoyedly, I was tossing a ball at the air.
My other friends were in school, but today was some sort of holiday for here. I was bored and felt pretty alone. Usually, I'd be at school complaining about how crappy it is and how much I hated it. Now, though, I was just hating the fact I wasn't there.
The ball I was throwing hit the ceiling, then forcefully bounced back into my face. "Mother of---" I squirmed around in pain and covered my face. I sat up and rubbed the bridge of my nose where it had hit. The door was opened without a knock. 爸爸 (Bàbà) had waltzed in. He had part of the day off too. From what I learned he's my new school's principal. That'll be thrilling.
"Did you just cuss?" His voice was low and growly. It sounded even harsher than in the car. The tone was sharp and angered, kind of like a jalapeño, heated.
"No!" I whined defensively.
"Then what did you do?" He asked in an even more annoyed tone.
"I hit myself in the face," I poutingly defended. He gave me an unimpressed look. I glared at the ground and puffed my cheeks out, I generally did that whenever I was angered or frustrated. I listened as he sighed, he started laughing. I glanced over confusedly. He was smiling at me, he seemed amused.
"Are you okay?" He chuckled.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I shrugged.
"Good," he nodded. With that he simply left. Too bad he left the freaking door open! I sighed annoyedly and faced away from the open door. I scrolled through my phone. This is fine, everything is fine. Be calm. I silently reminded myself.
"Hey Tyl-" Rainn's voice started to ask.
"What?" I growled annoyedly. I siddenly realized my tone and glanced up with slight panick. "S-sorry..." I mumbled. She smiled uncertainely. I sat up quickly and faced her. I wearily smiled. "What do you want?"
"Your dog peed in my room," she whined while fake smiling. Sin was being held by his collar.
"Oh geez," I sighed and rubbed my neck. "Sin," I grumbled.
"Help," he whined and squirmed around. "Dad already yelled at me!" He cried. He whined, barked, kicked, and squirmed. Rainn eventually lost her grip. Sin ran and hid behind me. I ran my hand through my hair frustratedly.
"Man, I'm sorry Rainn..." I mumbled.
"How do I clean this?!" Rod yelled panickedly from the other room. I glanced at the wall annoyedly.
"Can you really hear that much?" Rainn giggled and rubbed her neck. I nodded and stood.
"I'll clean it, I guess..." I mumbled. Rainn watched as I dug through a bunch of stuff. I grabbed out the nasty spray that cleans dog pee and a really old rag.
Rainn followed me as I went into her room. Rod was just staring at the stain really confusedly. Red was on Rainn's bed and staring at the stain with a scrunched nose. I grumbled annoyedly and sat by the stupid stain. I used the bottle to clean the stain and scrubbed it over.
"I'm gonna hurt that stupid dog," I muttered almost inaudibly.
"Isn't that animal abuse?" Red retorted amusedly. He leaned toward me. I glanced at him and looked away. I shrugged. He laughed.
"There," I sighed and tilted my head. The smell from the cleaner bugged my nose.
"Thank you!" Rainn beamed as she stepped in front of me.
"Yeah, no problem," I shrugged. She continued to grin. I watched her nervously as I walked toward the door. I left quickly and went to wash my hands. I tossed the rag to the laundry room, which was just across from my room and went to out the spray back in my room. Sin was whining on my bed.
I sat in front of him, but in the floor. "Me too bud," I mumbled as he complained. I sighed.
"Tyler... When can we go home?" Sin whined. "I miss Mom and Dad and Pulse and Neo and the other dogs and everyone else!" Sin cried. "I miss being apart of the group... I can't smell them anymore, this place is weird and smelly." I frowned at him. I laid my head down. He licked my nose and whined more.
"I miss home too," I mumbled quietly. Sin whined. His eyes seemed to water, his fur was getting wet by his eyes. "Don't cry bud," I whined sadly and pet him. "It'll be alright." He got up without responding. He walked off to his bed. He stayed silent as he laid down. I watched with a frown. I crawled onto my bed and laid on my side. I disappointedly started scrolling through my phone. "I miss home too," I mumbled weakly. My eyes watered. I inhaled and exhaled multiple times. I needed to calm down.
I never calmed down. I just tried to lay there silently. I was shaking and sniffling. I sighed quietly and wiped my face. I sniffled more harshly. I was able to calm enough to act almost okay. I looked at Sin and frowned. He was curled up. His tail sadly swayed. I gave him a sad smile and glanced at the door, it was still open. I looked at the ceiling. I sighed quietly. I covered my eyes and tried to fall asleep. I was able to.
