"Stop pulling on my hair!" I whined.
"Tyler, you're the one who wanted to dance. Now you have to out up with me doing your hair." Rainn huffed.
"Ow!" I whined.
"Coach!" Rainn whined.
"Stop being such a baby!" Red yelled at me.
"Your hair isn't being pulled on." I glared at him. He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Okay, that's it no more!" I yelled, jumping up. Rainn glared at me.
"You literally only let me spike it. I'm not done!" She yelled at me.
"What more can you do?!" I whined, motioning to my hair bangs. The rest of my hair was under the hat. Unlike the other girls, my hair was short; it couldn't be braided.
"Coach!" Rainn complained.
"Just put her make up on." Coach ordered, sighing. I whined.
"Sit." Rainn hissed. I sighed and sat. I faced her. She smirked. "Up." My eyes flickered up. She was carefully applying eye liner, which bugged my eyes. I flinched. "Stay still." She warned.
"I'm trying." I whined. She finished with the eye shadow and put mascara on me and then a bunch of other makeup I didn't want. "Are we done yet?" I whined, tilting my head to the side.
"Perfect." Rainn smirked.
"If I look like a clown I will end you." I warned. She snickered.
"See for yourself~"

"So the headphones are just like... aesthetic, right?" My head tilted to the side. Rainn chuckled.
"Yes, we're taking them iff to dance." She assured.
"Rad." I nodded. "Low-key jealous of the boys' outfit (right with the beanie, like the girls'. They guys also got finger less gloves, while the girls had laced glove like things that went up their arm, but were also fingerless). Rainn chuckled.
"C'mon, let's show off." She ordered. I stood and posed dramatically. Rainn laughed and posed back. "Look what I can do guys!" She grinned and faced me around.
"Ah!" I whined, looking away sheepishly.
"Hey, you actually look like one if us now, nice." Fay snickered.
"Funny." I scoffed. "I look better than you at least." I smirked slyly to her, giving her a toothy grin.
"Nah, not really." Gray responded.
"Ahh! You guys are the worst!" I whined. He laughed.
"Alright, let's get to practice. We only have our spot for a bit." Coach ordered. Her hands clapped. We cheered and followed her.
"Partner." I smirked to Red, he and most of the rest if the group were already in our spot getting ready.
"Ay, now you look like one of us." He joked.
"I guess." I snickered. "Your wings could stab a bitch." I warned, an amused smirk on my face.
"As always~" he flipped his nonexistent long hair. "Rainn is friggen amazing at makeup." Red pointed out.
"I can tell." I smirked a toothy and cocky smirk.
"Alright guys, warm up, stretch, then we're practicing!" Coach instructed. And so we did.

While we were practicing our dance, I somehow managed to fall. I literally couldn't get up because I landed so wrong. I did manage to get out of the way before being crushed, but literally once I fell the whole crew stopped.
I wad laying on the ground, shaking in pain. My neck had been cracked wrong and I had no clue what to do with myself. I shook and tried not to cry.
"Tyler? Tyler are you okay?!" Coach whimpered. I winced and sat up. I rubbed my neck.
"That really hurt," I whimpered shakily. "Sorry."
"Why? It was an accident, are you okay?" She frowned with panic. She was crouched in front of me.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine." I assured.
"I want you to rest here for a few minutes. Okay?" Coach instructed.
"Y-yeah." I nodded. I inhaled and exhaled as I forced myself to stay calm. I carefully laid back and stared at the unfamiliar ceiling.
"Red, will you be fine practicing alone?" Coach asked.
"Yeah." Red nodded. Coach nodded and sat.
"Let's try again, everyone please be careful." She begged. My eyes drifted as I watched them. I winced and flinched with every weird feeling in my back. Man it hurt.
I closed my eyes and listened to the music and felt the vibrations on the floor. I calmed myself, until it was just my anxiety that caused me to shake. They ran through both of our routines, when they were going to do it again; I got up.
"Ready?" Coach asked worriedly.
"Yeah." I stretched out my arm. Nothing hurt too bad.
"You sure you're okay?" Red asked as I walked over to my position.
"I'm fine, really." I nervously chuckled. He nodded.
"I want you to practice walking in. Let's go!" Coach ordered, waving her finger around.
We walked to the side we'd be entering from. We set up carefully. We walked in after someone called some sort of orders and we walked in, positioning carefully. Coach watched closely. The music started, we listened and positioned.

(The song starts with an actual ballroom song, slows to a stop and then switches)
My left hand caught Red's right. His hand positioned on my side, just as mine did to his. We stepped, watching one another's faces; a smile being kept on our faces properly. The music slowed to a stop, causing us to freeze as we were supposed to. We didn't move fore a moment, until the music sped.
I carefully stepped back, moving swiftly the way I had been shown over and over. I danced with the further group, staring carefully towards where I imagined the judges being. I kept my smile up as we bounced around.
The boys slid forward on their knees, the way they had been constantly. My eyes flickered swiftly. I watched the boys bounce around as they had been set to; break dancing.
My gaze shot back up, I hadn't stopped my movements since I was so used to it. Grey, Rainn and I shared a smirk. We slipped forward, passed the boys who had backed up. We quickly hit our swift movements and spun back to the boys. We were dancing with our partners as the rest of the group got their spot light. I was glad I didn't fall this time.
We hit the final pose. I was panting, but keeping my breathing steady so Red didn't get my breath in his face. He was doing the same thing, so his breath wasn't in my face. I pushed my hands against his chest, my face reddening as I remembered the subway. I stared up at him, keeping my gaze until orders were called. He was staring back down to me. I suddenly felt even more nervous to dance in front of a crowd.
Coach applauded, we waited until orders were called by Rainn. We carefully walked off, taking a break.
"Ah geez." I huffed. Rainn was pointing out everything she noticed I did wrong, just as always. My eyes rolled.
"Hey, lay off. She fell earlier. She did fine." Fay grumbled, flicking Rainn in the forehead.
"I'm just saying!" Rainn whined.
"I won't screw up in front of the judges, okay?" I sighed. She smirked amusedly.
"Sure." She agreed. I rubbed my neck and huffed. I still hurt, dancing kind of brought bake the pain, but I couldn't sit out now; it'd ruin the whole flow of the dance. I winced and clutched my wrist, my arm had pain shooting up and down it, I was trying to get it to go away.
"Are you okay?" Gray asked, appearing by us.
"Nn-hmm." I whimpered through gritted teeth.
"Maybe you shouldn't dance?" Rainn frowned at me.
"I'm fine, my arm just... does this." I explained casually. I sighed as the pain subsided. "Don't freak dude, I'm fiiiiine." I waved my hand dismissively at her worried expression.
"If you say so." Rainn sighed. I sent her a flashy grin. I posed and grinned childishly to reassure her. Rainn smiled slightly.
"Let's practice our other routine!" Coach called. "We're performing this one first." She explained. "I want you walking in again." She instructed. We got in our walking positions. Rainn called out the orders. We walked on swiftly.

I was somewhere in the middle, my hands clapped to the beat the way they were supposed to. The more experienced dancers were in the front, dancing swiftly as we clapped and did our dance moves, cheering them on.
The more further back dancers transferred to the front as the bass dropped. We were all dancing in sync, the audience (coach) was clapping to the beat, the way Rainn had signaled for them too.
We were shifting our positions, sliding and spinning. I slipped to the ground and bounced up as if I was supposed to, which I was. I skidded in a little circle as I got myself standing for the final pose. I posed up against Fay. I was out of breath, but smirking and hiding it.
"Wonderful! You did amazing. Let's get down there, we're up soon." Coach informed.

We made it to right outside our entrance spot. We waited anxiously, wishing luck to passing teams. There were middle schools mixed in with the high school, it was quite amusing.

"I can't stop shaking!" I whimpered to Oli. He chuckled.
"You're fine." He assured. I whimpered and nervously laughed. I was having trouble staying in my spot. I watched passing teams and wished them luck, just as they had to us. I wasn't comfortable with this team, not the way I was comfortable with my friends. Traveling with them made me so tense. I was just excited to be somewhere new, dancing since it was something I love so much. I exhaled sharply and followed my team to the entrance. Here goes nothing...

I smiled sadly at the memory. I snapped out of my daze as we were brought out.
"And performing in the hip-hop category..."
"You guys are going to do great! Just don't focus on the people, focus on what you guys are doing. I'll see you after. Good luck!" Coach spoke over the announcer. She ran off swiftly to go sit at the coaches table. Rainn called out our orders for our first performance; the hip-hop one. We moved swiftly, stepping on in a kind of funk fashion the way coach wanted. We slid to our spots, facing the judges. We posed as we stared up. We waited for the music and started swiftly. We clapped, the front danced more intensely than us. We danced and shifted. It was hard to keep my gaze up at the judges, and my sly smirk on my face. We danced quickly and once we hit our poses, the crowd applauded. We held our positions for a good minute until Rainn called for us to walk off. We did and we met up with coach outside.
"Fuck my wrist." Gray hissed. He was clutching his wrist tightly. Coach checked his wrist. She frowned nervously. "Stupid landing." Gray huffed. "I should be fine." He shrugged, brushing it off.
"Please be careful." Coach frowned.
"Are you okay?" Rainn frowned to me.
"Ah you saw that?" I laughed, rubbing me neck. I had landed on my back wrong, knocking out my wind. I still tried to dance, though. It was really hard. "I'm fine, I was kind-of breathing." I shrugged casually. Coach sighed in defeat.
"You guys... please be careful." She whimpered.
"Yes ma'am~" I hummed, winking to her. She sighed and rubbed her neck.
"Let's watch the next team." She ordered.

We sat for a while, watching everyone else. We took a break for lunch and right after we were dancing, practicing our final routine. We had to change before we practiced, since our outfits were different. Thankfully, we didn't mess with the makeup or our hair.

"Alright kiddos, it's our turn soon. Let's go." Coach ordered. We went, we preformed, we watched.
We had a dance party with the other schools while waiting for the results. Before the results; we had a competition thing I never participated in. Except for one time, which was when I won a bronze medal for it. I cheered on my friends from the side. After some random kids, and Fay (who got a silver, I'm so proud of her) won, we got our results. Our school was seated together tightly, huddling together; listening with anticipation.
"And for High school Hip-hop..." The announcer called another school. We cheered for them, even though we were disappointed. They did a great job and deserved to be cheered for.
"For Lyrical..." All I heard was cheering, Rainn got up quickly. My eyes flickered around as Rainn came back with our trophy, grinning. I chuckled and grinned.

When everything sort of calmed, we were taking pictures. It was actually super exciting.
"So, glad you joined the team?" Red rested his arm on my shoulder and looked down at me. My eyes trailed from watching the group. I looked up at him. I grinned.
"Yeah!" I smiled brightly. He chuckled.
"I think it's even better we getta keep these rad outfits." He posed. I snickered.
"Yeah." I smiled amusedly.
"Ty! Come take a picture with me!" Rainn waved me over. Red freed me and went to find Rod. I took a picture with Rainn and chuckled.
"Satisfied?" I smirked amusedly.
"Very!" She beamed. I chuckled and affectionately rubbed her head. "Hey! Leave the hair alone!" She hissed. I snickered.
"Hey, we're grabbing our stuff and goin'." Purity informed after jogging over. We nodded and followed after her. We got to change back into our outfits from before we changed.

I yawned lazily when we got on the bus. It was about... five. It was getting dark. My head lazily rested against my window. Everyone was tired, but chatting. We were stopping for food. I was seated alone, since this was the spot I had claimed in the morning.
"Heya~" Rainn greeting, waving cutely. She sent me a sweet grin. I lazily looked over. "Mind if we join you?" She grinned, motioning to the group she had formed.
"I don't think we'll all fit in one seat." I snickered amusedly. "You're welcome to try, though." I agreed, shrugging. I scooted to the window and rested my head against the cool frame. My eyes rested.
"Done." Rainn sat next to me and grinned to me. I looked at her and chuckled.
"You didn't seem to win the challenge?" I hummed slyly.
"We tried." Rod shrugged, leaning over the seat in front of us. Fay peered over with him. I snickered. Red was seated alone in the chair besides us, Grey had squished herself in the seat behind us with Gray. I smirked amusedly and yawned.
"So tired~" Rainn teased, patting my head.
"I always am." I shrugged casually. "Where are we stopping for food?"
"McDonalds." Rainn answered.
"Rad." I gave her a thumbs up. "You know if we went north of here we'd be back in my town?" I pointed out lazily.
"Field trip to Tyler's town!" Rod cheered. Coach laughed from the front. The kids up there groaned. I snickered.
"Funny." I smirked. Rod grinned proudly and rubbed under his nose. Rainn giggled.
"Food everyone! We're only staying for a half hour, eat, bathroom, you know the drill. We're not making anymore stops!" Coach called. We all got off the bus and went to eat.
I got my food and sat on the bench. I lazily laid my head down. I sleepily ate.
"I wouldn't do that, you never know what's on these counters." Gray pointed out as he sat across from me.
"End my suffering." I hissed. I sat up and ate. I listened to the conversation, and the radio. My Chemical Romance was playing. I completely approved.

"What's the worst that I could say? Things are better if I stayed. So long and good night, so long and good night!" My face flushed when I realized what I did. I looked away and stuffed a chicken nugget in my mouth. Rainn was laughing.
"What the heck was that?!" Rod asked confusedly. I made a noise and stuffed more food in my face.
"Nothing." I whimpered.
"She was singing~" Rainn teased.
"I will end you." I warned her. She smirked.
"You're the one who did it~" she teased.
"End me." I hissed. She snickered. I sighed heavily and sipped on my shake. Stupid stupid, how foolish. My leg tapped.

"Get a room." Red hissed as Rainn fed Rod. Rod smirked at hum.
"You're just jealous~"
"Of you two being 'in love,'" he used quotation marks, which clearly annoyed Rod. "Don't think so." He growled.
"I know so." Fay smirked slyly.
"Were you apart of this conversation? Don't think so." Red hissed in a sassy tone. He waved his hand and head in two different directions. "Hey!" He glared at Grey. She had snatched one of his fries. She smiled innocently and ate. I shoved my fries to him.
"Fair game, I won't eat 'em." I shrugged casually. I sipped on my drink. I hadn't really eaten, but suddenly I wasn't so hungry. I usually didn't eat the fries anyways.
"You are truly a hero." Red informed me. He ate the fries. I snickered amusedly.
"Eeeeeat!" Rainn whined into my ear. I covered both of my ears and winced.
"Volume enhancing!" I reminded annoyedly.
"Whoops, sorry." She giggled. I sighed and sulked.

We ate, used the bathroom and went back to the bus. We rested pretty lazily as we screwed off. The town was about two hours away, so we were on the bus for a while.

I woke up to the bus' quiet music. I lazily looked around. I hadn't expected to be woken up.
"Morning, Sunshine." Red smirked down at me. We had ended up sitting next to one another on the bus. I grunted and laid my head against the chair. He snickered.
"What time is it?" I yawned lazily.
"Like... seven?" He shrugged. I nodded.
"M'kay..." I looked at the others, Rod and Rainn were asleep against one another, Fay was curled up with Gray, Purity and Grey were curled.
"You've been asleep for like ten minutes." Red pointed out.
"Probably, it's hard for me to sleep on buses." I shrugged. He chuckled.
"I relate." He nodded.
"Whatcha watching?" I leaned over his shoulder curiously. "Oo YouTube." I grinned innocently. He scoffed and pushed my head away.
"Did I say you could watch?"
"Did I ask?" I smirked back.
"Toche." He nodded. He let me watch over his shoulder. I ended up falling asleep against him.

I woke up later, again. I glanced up lazily. Red was leaning on me, he was asleep to. I shifted and freed myself. I looked around, only a couple of other kids were awake. None of which were my friends. Red's phone screen was still on. I closed YouTube for him. He leaned against me again, more lazily this time.
"Okay then." I blinked.
"Nnn..." Red lazily whined into my shoulder. I awkwardly pat his head. He laid his head in my lap. I blinked as I stared down at him.
"Awesome." I sighed heavily. I scrolled through my phone and listened to the noises of the bus. By the time we were back I 'accidentally' woke up everyone. Whoops.
