YOUR POINT OF VIEW

Procuratio.

I didn't want to think about what we would've done if we didn't have that spell.

Lucky for us, Draco was a fast learner; perfected it in no less than an hour. He had to, seeing as my underaged magic would've easily been traceable for the ministry; which Voldemort had already infiltrated.

I stressed the fact that Draco had to actually want to find them for the spell to work.

And I've been hoping and praying for two weeks now that the little light that had shot out of Draco's wand was leading us in the right direction.

There was nothing I could do but trust that his whole focus was on the Weasley's burrow when he cast the spell every morning before we got going.

At least until tomorrow. July 31. The day I'd turn seventeen and therefore the day the trace would be lifted off of me; finally allowing me to do magic freely outside of Hogwarts.

"You know, that's our first birthday spent together," Draco commented casually, his attention on our surroundings rather than on me.

It was dark by now. However, we haven't found a good place to stay the night yet, which is why we were still up and walking.

"Why, yes, that's true," I realised, brows raising in recognition of the fact. "It would be almost romantic if we weren't on the run from a bunch of wizards who surely want me dead by now," I huffed in amusement.

"Trust Y/n Potter to always know how to ruin the moment," He sighed, rolling his eyes in an amused manner. "It could still be romantic, you know." He stopped in his tracks, turning to look at me with a sly smirk on his lips.

A singular laugh escaped my mouth at his words as I came to a halt right in front of him, planting a small kiss on his lips.

He huffed against my lips in contentment at the gesture. Though, something was different when I opened my eyes again.

"Is it just me, or did it become darker?" I wondered out loud, twirling around myself once to find the small ball of light that had been guiding us for the past few weeks now; to no avail.

Sure, the grass was high enough for the light to get lost in it, though, it would've simply come back to us at the realisation that we lost it. So that wasn't the case.

And if we didn't lose it, that meant it disappeared.

As soon as the thought crossed my mind, something else began occupying it. A dull sound that I definitely wasn't imagining.

"I'm not going insane, am I? You can hear the music too?" Draco asked carefully, brows furrowed as we listened into the darkness.

Without an answer, I grabbed his hand tightly and walked towards the noise. And sure enough, in the not so far distance, I could make out lights, and laughter, and voices excitedly conversing over the music.

Did we really make it?

I was able to answer that question as soon as my eyes landed on the burrow. It was, 100% and without a doubt, the burrow; I knew from all the articles in the Daily Prophet when it burned down.

They reconstructed it to look exactly the same.

"Ten galleons that's my brother celebrating that he's finally rid of me," I mumbled, my eyes latching onto the large tent in front of us as we stepped out of the tall grass.

"Can't blame him," Draco scoffed, amusement lingering in his voice as he nudged my side.

"Fuck off, Malfoy," I simply responded, my words accompanied by a dry laugh while my feet carried me closer to the tent almost automatically. Though, as I realised Draco was, in fact, not moving with me, I stopped.

I turned around, head tilted slightly and an eyebrow quirked. "Are you coming?" I asked, feeling myself grow impatient when I thought of how high the chances of Harry actually being here were.

"I don't think I should," He simply replied, giving me an apologetic smile before his eyes snapped towards the burrow and back onto me. "I'm not necessarily welcome here, I assume." A humourless laugh forced itself out of his mouth, and I nodded in understanding. "So, I'll just be waiting here," He shrugged.

"Okay, then," I mumbled, nodding once more before turning back around.

Before I even had the chance of walking further, I suddenly locked eyes with no other than Ron Weasley himself.

His eyes were wide, jumping back and forth between me and the boy behind me. I wasn't quite sure what to do, so to break the rather awkward eye contact, I went to raise my hand and wave.

Luckily, before it got to that, he hurried back into the tent without so much as a hello.

"Rude much," I mumbled to myself. Though, knowing Ron was here; Harry had to be, too. The thought alone made my stomach drop, and I gulped nervously as I took step after step into the direction Ron had disappeared in.

The long, red carpet was rolled out in front of me now as I took one more deep breath before I stepped on it, the entrance now right in front of me.

As my eyes snapped back up from the carpet, they immediately latched onto Harry. My breath hitched at the realisation that we really did it; that he was actually here, standing right in front of me.

Just like I didn't move, neither did he. We both just stood there for what felt like an eternity, his eyes wide in disbelieve up until the moment Hermione and Ron showed up behind him.

It seemed to snap him out of his trance, his feet suddenly beginning to move as he speed-walked over to me. His movement seemed to snap me out of mine, too, and I walked towards him just as fast.

A loud sigh escaped my lips as I finally clasped my arms around him, squeezing his upper body tightly in what felt like a hug that was long, yet, nearly not long enough.

"Merlin's beard, Y/n," He huffed, pressing a kiss against my forehead before pulling me into another hug. His breath was heavy, and I could tell he didn't want to let go, either. Not if it meant there was even the slightest chance of his sister disappearing again.

"Oh god, Y/n, you have no idea how good it is to see you," Hermione's voice made my head snap in her direction before hurling over to pull her into a hug just as tightly.

"And you have no idea how glad I am to be here now," I sighed into our hug, giving her one more squeeze before letting go altogether.

My attention fell onto Ron, the boy standing a few feet behind both Harry and Hermione as he gave me a weak smile.

"Good to see you," He nodded, and I returned the gesture.

"You too, Weasley,"

The wide smile on my face was hard to miss; I don't think I've smiled as much as this in a long time.

"Oh, my- Y/n!" Misses Weasley's voice broke the silence hanging over us as she pulled me into a considerably shorter hug, though her hands stayed on my shoulders. "Are you alright, dear?" She asked, her voice concerned. "Oh, you've gotten so much thinner, you poor thing- let's get you inside. You're probably starving!"

She already had me pushed halfway into the venue, past Mister Weasley who gave me a warm and relieved smile before his eyes trailed off to something behind me.

His brows furrowed in something that could only be interpreted as anger, and I turned around in confusion.

My eyes immediately widened as I watched him furiously walk up to Draco, the latter having retreated from his spot just slightly, seeming like he had changed his mind about staying out here.

He had changed, too; wearing the black suit he had left in.

"What on earth are you doing here?" Mister Weasley shouted, his wand pointed right at the blonde. "How dare you come back here after what happened the last time your sort showed up? And on my son's wedding, of all days-" He continued.

His words made me shake Misses Weasley's hand off my shoulder as I ran towards the two; Mister Weasley now dangerously close to Draco.

"Sir, you've got it all wrong," I began, my voice loud enough for them both to hear. The man's brows furrowed in confusion this time, and his wand lowered as he looked back and forth between Draco and me; whose face was distorted in anger at the way Mister Weasley spoke to him.

He could never stand them, anyway, so this would definitely not make anything better.

His jaw clenched, and eyebrows pulled closer together, Draco opened his mouth to probably let go of the insults he had accumulated in the short silence hanging over us.

Though one look at me; at the way my facial expression was begging him not to do exactly that, his mouth closed again as he took a deep breath to calm himself down.

I sighed in relieve before turning my attention back onto Mister Weasley. "You see, without Draco I would've never even made it back here," I explained quickly, eyes darting onto him for only a moment.

"Oh," He simply breathed out, his eyes widened in surprise as he looked back and forth between the two of us. "Well, in that case; thank you, I guess." He mumbled, patting his shoulder twice in an awkward manner before hurrying back towards his wife.

She was standing right where I left her, shaking her head as she gave her husband a scolding look. "Don't you remember what I told you, Arthur?" She hushed quietly, rolling her eyes as she pushed him into the tent.

"Sorry, sorry. You never know who's with who these days-" His words were drowned out by the music as they disappeared into the tent; leaving Harry, Ron, and Hermione standing there and waiting for us to catch up with them.

A/N: Bro I know Mr Weasley would probably be the last person to get angry, but somebody had to so uhhhh yea he's the fall guy I'm sorry lmfao
