As Tony embraced Pepper, I looked at Natasha. That's when I realized something, if I held things off, I'd lose the girl of my dreams. Tony almost lost his, but he got her back. I looked at Maria and pulled her into another room. "Maria," I said, "say I wanted to propose to Nat, how would I go about doing that?" "OMG Steve!" Maria replied excitedly, "You want to propose to Nat?! Okay Steve you need a ring and you need to make a huge way to say it!" "Don't you just ask?" I asked her. "Uh no," she replied, "I guess that's what you and Buck would have done in the 40's, but this is the 21st century, you need to make an amazing show of it." I looked at Maria, "Well, I guess I need a ring and an idea." "Well," Maria said, "you could ask if the guys could set up fireworks for when you propose and a candlelight heart around you two." "Good idea," I replied, "but what if she says no?" "I hope one of you stooges are recording it, but she'll say yes Steve, what are you thinking about ring wise." "Well," I said, "that's why I need your help, you're a girl tell me what ring would Nat want?" Hill looked at me like I was crazy. "What?" I said confused. "What is Nats one and only color other than black?" Red. "So I have to get a ruby?" I asked. "You're getting there." She said smiling. "Steve, I'm sorry. I'm overwhelming you aren't I?" I smiled, "just a little." She looked to the ground and her eyes went open. "Where is the most romantic place you have been with Natasha at?" "I don't know" then I know exactly where to go. "There is a place in Ohio and in the fall the leafs are most beautiful things I have ever seen. I think the place is called Gulls Wood. On our way there I can pick up the ring. I can order it here right?" "Yeah! Sure!" She got her phone out and went to a ring website. She showed me a bunch of rings and I picked the one that had a pretty design on the outside and a tiny ruby in the middle. Then I found a small steel on with her name on it. Hill looked at me and said, "Steve, you take care of her okay? She is my baby sister. For your present, I'll buy the rings for you. And don't you dare say for one second that I'm not," Maria grabbed my shirt and twisted it and held me on a wall, "and if you ever hurt her, I swear that I'll hurt you till all of the world knows of your crimes against my sister." I saw that she really cared about Natasha a lot. "Now, let's get you two a plane to Ohio."
