Always & Forever

Hello Faithful Readers!!! Sorry about No Escape!!! I've been trying to work on it, but my mind won't cooperate and I want the best quality for you guys to read! But you must not give up hope. Meanwhile, I just think of these random ideas, Keeper related (because Keeper is LIFE) and I want to put them to good use. Which is why I started Possibilities, a collection of stories..... um by ME!!!!

None of these stories have anything really related to my other fanfic No Escape. I am team Sophie so it could be Sophitz or Sokeefe. So, don't start assuming my teams!!!! XD

This first "one-shot" is Always & Forever. I wrote this in about like 2 hours so I felt pretty good about it. Accomplished even. But I know, later on, when I look at this, probably tomorrow, I shall think, "What is that?" So please don't judge if its horrible. I kind of wrote this for one of my besties since she is team [redacted]. But I did it as revenge so it might be sad. Scratch that, I even cried when writing this. So without further ado, Always and Forever!!!!

Sophie Elizabeth Foster stopped in her tracks as she took in the horrid scene in front of her. All of the remaining hope she had left for the attack's success was crushed. The Black Swan and her friends may had won the physical battle through strength and combat, but she knew that the Neverseen would strike a wound, straight in her heart, that would never, could never, be healed even if time passed.

No, no, no, this couldn't be happening. The Neverseen could steal anything they wanted too, her home, the Earth, she didn't care! But they couldn't take the one person who held her heart in their hands away from her. She couldn't bear to even think the thought of losing him.

But still, what she saw in front of her eyes was very much true and realistic. This was reality. It could crush you with a single blow, and you could do nothing to change it. Sophie's throat closed up and a wrangled sob came out. She had so much she to tell him. So much she had to say to him. So so much she had to do to him to even express what she couldn't say in front of him. When was the last time they spoke together, looked in the eyes and actually communicated for their own sake instead of the course of the battles raging around their crumbling utopia? What had he said to her?

He had approached her and started talking, like he didn't care if he was acknowledged or not. The look in his eyes was so crazed and tired, like he wanted to give up. But Sophie knew why he didn't give up yet, though he was so sick and tired of everything, this cruel life and his family. He didn't give up... for her. He had promised her, such a long time ago when they were still 14 or 15, that he would not give up, and that he would fight for her. He had spoken then, like he just had to get the words out of his system, and she could tell how much it pained him.

"Fost- Sophie, you won't have to choose. Between me and him. I know he makes you," He stopped there when his voice had trailed off, but he still managed to continue, choking out the remainder of his sentence, "happy. He makes you happy. And I want you to be happy."

He had reached down and caressed her cheek, almost in a starstruck daze.

"Even if that costs my own happiness. I love- " Then he just left, he didn't even finish his last statement. It was so hard for him. But he still tried. She had never tried to reach out to him. She should have ran after him. Ran after him and tell him how she felt. And how he couldn't leave. Sophie should have locked him in a cage, so nothing wouldn't have happened to him. And she didn't.

Even though she didn't say it, didn't get a chance to say it, Sophie chose him. Would always, and forever more. He was right. The other boy did make her happy. The boy was also close to her heart, but he only made her happy. She didn't feel any other emotions when around the other boy.

But when with him, even though it mostly resulted in fights and hopeless tangled messes, he made her feel precious, special, and loved. She could be carefree around him, be herself. He made her feel guilty, hopeless, and usually left her head spinning, more clumsier than usual.

So it couldn't possibly be too late. Sophie had gotten more than enough chances. What was one more? Was the world cruel enough to take away a single opportunity from her? One that mattered as much as her life? It seemed so.

There he was, surrounded by flames, blazing orange and red. Black ashes were floating around in the air. The flames only surrounded him as if the Neverseen wanted to take away one single person that could make her feel and live again. They knew. They knew that without him, she was nothing but a dead body walking around without a soul.

His face was ashen and bruised. He knew it too, of his fate. But he viewed it as a sacrifice. A sacrifice for the girl he loved most. They both knew that there wasn't a way to get out of the flames' grasp. But though he was trapped, his eyes were still as bright, full of hope and love that he gave to her all the time, unconditionally.

Sophie fell to the ground, falling apart as her world came crashing down. Last time that happened, Mr. Forkle had died. But he was there to hold her and walk her through. She couldn't do it. She couldn't live an immortal life without him. She couldn't continue like nothing had happened. She couldn't even think of planting his Wanderling and watching it grow, as a reminder of the love she had foolishly lost. Every blossom would remind her of the flowers he had painted for her. Each snowflake in the sky would be a teardrop that came from him.

He turned his head over to her and met her eyes, as if he could sense her. He always could, the room always lit up when they were together. They were often compared to as one soul separated in two bodies. He smiled a heartbreakingly beautiful smile. He was just a boy, shattered beyond repair, broken because of his torn past and loyalties.

He mouthed to her, thought it in his head. She could hear his voice.

Live for me, Sophie. Live for us. I won't be dead. I'll always be with you, always and forever.

So Sophie laid there, crying and screaming for people to help him even though she knew her action was useless. She sat there weeping, as the fire faded and his ashes were scattered by the wind. She sat there, reliving every memory she had with him. How they would never get to live their lives together. How he was gone. Forever. Soon the evidence of his existence would fade and disappear. All of his footsteps would be erased, and she couldn't do anything.

Standing up, on shaky legs, torn and tattered, she was now a broken girl. Not a moonlark, not a savior. Not a person who had a destiny to fulfill. Sophie was just broken. And she would do what he asked of her last. His last words would always be treasured inside her heart.

She would live. She would fight. And she would make sure that a single soul that had harmed him would perish underneath her. She would make sure that they would suffer the same heartbreak they made her go through. She would continue until she was silenced. Until her last breath even if it was the last thing she did. She wouldn't forget ever. And she definitely wouldn't forgive. Because of life without him, her Keefe, was nothing. It was nothing. Love, life, and meaning was all gone. Sophie's heart belonged to him, with him. Always and forever.
