Luna
Stepping out into the street, I took in the sight of the gray and black Hummer. My assumption was right, but it was not the devil himself, but his chauffeur.
"Alright, goodbye." I hugged Charlotte. "I'll meet you soon."
"Yeah," she smiled. "And remember, don't lose your ground."
I laughed. "I won't."
The chauffeur held the door open with a huge smile on his face. "I'm sorry, Ms. Luna, but Mr. Torrance will greet you at the airport. He was occupied with his friends."
Like a light bulb clicked in my head, I quickly rushed back into the house, ignoring my name being called.
"Ash?" I called. "Where are you, baby? Come out fast, sweets." I found him lying across the kitchen floor. I picked him up and grabbed his basket, pillow toys. "I almost forgot about you."
With that, I went outside.
"Damn it, Luna," Charlotte shrieked. "What on the earth is that?"
"That thing is actually a cat, with feelings. Don't refer to him as anything other than a cat."
"But why are you taking....him with you?" Question of the day, huh.
"He's with me for a fews days and I already told Ares that I would bring a friend." I cradled Ash like a baby. "He's my friend, Ash, Ash this is Charlotte."
"I'm allergic to cats." Charlotte covered her face, backing away.
"Well, some cats are allergic to humans," I retorted. "Two's game, isn't it?"
"I would hug you right now." She raised her hand to wave. "But this looks like a suitable option."
I waved back and exchanged 'byes' with her. The space inside the car was just too big for one person, so I figured Ares was just extravagant. The car ride was smooth, Ash settled himself on the seat beside me.
"Aren't we supposed to take a the highway to get to Midway?" I asked the chauffeur, when I noticed him getting on the route I wasn't familiar with.
"No, no, Mr. Torrance has his own runway at O'Hare and before that we have to pick up Mr. Trent. He's staying at his apartment."
Trent? Did that mean Axel Trent was going to accompany me in the car?
My eyes looked just ready to pop out at the mention on his name. "Are you fine, Ms. Luna?" The chauffeur must have seen my face in the rear-view mirror. "Should I pull over?"
Taking a deep breath I brush off any sign of worry off my face, I made myself understand it was just Axel and we were hopefully in some kind of truce with each other, not to leave the fact that he knew I have- had a little, no a huge crush on him. I'm not sure if I still do, but I hardly feel giddy at the mention of his name or when he's around me.
Now you're too busy being infatuated over his close friend.
"No, it's nothing, " I replied and lifted Ash from the seat beside me to place him on my lap.
I watched as a suburbs landscape being replaced by the concrete and steel of the city. After a few minutes of driving, we stopped in front of a huge black skyscraper.
"He'll be out in a few seconds." The chauffeur was wrong. We waited exactly twenty minutes for him and the prince came in all of his swagger with a blonde bimbo attached to his arm.
He had his Louis Vuitton duffle bag on his shoulder as the blonde sashayed her way with him. For my relief, he decided to plop down in the front seat which left the blonde no choice, but to take a back seat.
Oh, he's flying with company. So much for, 'I love, Charlotte more than myself' crap. Boys.
"Oh, hey, Luna." Finally acknowledging my presence, he greeted me. "You coming as well?" He turned his head to face me, with the most boyish smile on his face.
"Shit! What the fuck is that?" The blonde next to me was acting like a scared puppy. As if, Ash will attack her any moment. "Oh, my God. It is looking at me. Babe, I'm so scared."
I scowled at her. "Oh, shut up," I snapped at her. "You're basically scaring him. What are you, two?"
"That is so rude." She folded her hands, pushing out her breast even more. Like, the tube top didn't already help her. And, her skirt just showed off her small legs. The bimbo was short.
"Don't tell me you're coming as well?" Her dumb voice spoke.
"If I wasn't going as well, then why would I be sitting here?"
Axel arched his eyebrow at me. "Nasty mood, oh, I see, you're on your PMS." As if he cracked a joke, the blondie laughed on top of her lungs.
"Seriously." I pointed at her. "Your standards are dropping far too low."
He laughed, his deep voice didn't jolt any sensation in me, but I couldn't ignore the fact that it was sexy. "Luna, darling." He dropped his shades low, resting at the bridge of his nose. "You have not seen my standard." He stared right into my eyes, challenging me to lower my gaze. "And you never will see or be my standard."
Ouch. That was insulting. I zoned out the snarky laugher, coming from that bimbo and just stared right into his eyes.
Leaning a bit closer, I pushed the shades right back up, trailed my finger on his face, until it met his lips. "You would have to change the conception of your standard to even come close to mine, and as for your standard, I'm humbled to be excluded from the group of girls who'll drop their panties at the snap of your fingers. It's better to not be your standard."
"Big words." He turned to his seat. "But you're wrong," he said, looking at the bimbo. "I don't have to snap my fingers." The bimbo hooked her fingers inside her skirt, lowering her panties, and crawled towards his seat. "I just have to look at them and they do everything, willing." I'm sure, she was fingering herself. "Everything. Don't exclude anything out. It's their choice to drop their panties not mine. Never mine."

Rolling down the window, I deeply inhaled the salty air as the chauffeur pulled up to a winding, gated driveway as we entered O'Hare terminal.
Ash was asleep on my lap, I debated whether to put him in the basket or my large purse. I ditched basket and carefully placed him inside my bad. I transferred my iPhone to the front zip, just as precaution from any surprise from Ash.
Axel and his bimbo were busy getting each other off- well she was getting off, I don't think Axel did. I thanked the Gods of the sky that they saved me from watching free porn show in the car and was happy with their heavy makeout session.
My hair was flying from the wind, so I tamed them in a ponytail. As we pulled up at the private runaway, I spotted, a few teenage boys and girls hanging out by their cars. I assumed they were all waiting for Axel to show up.
"John," Axel said. I assumed it was the name of the chauffeur. "Drop Kandy off at her hostel, please."
"What!" Kandy a.k.a bimbo, exclaimed. "You said I could come." Kandy pulled up her tube top, finally covering her breast.
"And I did make you come." Axel pushed her off his lap. "I don't break promises. In fact, I made you come twice."
"I meant with you, the place you're going to."
"Ha, ha," he faked laugh. "I never said I'll take you with me." Wiping his hand with a steriliser, he made one of the most insulting gesture of signalling her to get back to her seat. "Now if you remain seated here, I can assure you there are guys who'll open this door and would love having their way with a girl dressed like you."
Now, I felt a little bad for Kandy...just a little.
"John."
"Sir.."
"Drop her off straight at her hostel not my apartment building."
John nodded, keeping his eyes on the road. I bet, he was used to having Axel use girls like this.
"You're a pig." Kandy, who was crying a little, muttered under her breath.
"I'm the nicest fuck you'll ever have."
The car came to the stop and I rolled the windows back up, not wanting anyone to see her crying. I wouldn't want anyone to watch me cry, so...
Axel got out of the car and I followed him. John, took his duffel bag from the trunk and my suitcase too. There was a private jet on the standby and a couple of people my age chatting with each other. Not much, but I did spot that chick from the restaurant leaning against, as expected, another luxurious car. Kids nowadays....
When she took in the sight of Axel, she quickly rushed towards us to greet him. Open arms, she rushed to hug Axel. "We were waiting for you. I thought you were bailing on me." Their hug made me raise my eyebrows at them, it was intimate. Didn't this guy came crying to me for my help to get his girl back?
They don't care about you or anyone else, just their feelings.
Charlotte's voice rang in my head, and I guess, she was right. Rich boys have zero feelings.
When they ended their hug, the girl, who I assumed was Maria, took in my appearance. "Oh, you." She took off her shades and flipped her hair. "Ares's new friend." She made an oddly stress on the word friend. "Darling, I forgot your name. What is it....?" She extended her hand to me.
"Luna," I said, in the same pretentious tone as her. "I'm Charlotte's friend as well." I sneaked a glance at Axel, catching his cold stare. Charlotte was a sensitive topic for him, oh, I see.
She hummed her response, making it clear she was not interested in making small talks with me. Neither was I. Sending a little warning glare in my direction, Axel went and mingled with the crowd.
I scanned the surface to spot Ares, but he was nowhere to be found. Damn, where was he? I was already in a pissed mood. First, he didn't showed up to my house and second, he's not here to greet me.
I was still rooted at my spot when I couldn't find Ares, and just a second later, some brunette approached me.
"Luna....?" She asked me. "Are you Luna West?" I nodded. She sighed in relief and took my hand. "Well, C'mon, then." She tried to drag me with her. "Is there a problem?"
"Um...yeah." I pointed at my suitcase. "I need to take that first and....who are you?"
"I'm so stupid," she smacked her head lightly. "I'm Casey, but that doesn't matter." She looked around and called out to someone. "Your bags will be taken care of, first you need to board the flight. He's waiting for you."
"That one?" I asked, pointed at the white jet on standby. Casey just shook her head.
"No," she said. "That one." She pointed at the black jet, slightly bigger than the white one. "It's Ares's personal jet, he won't fly with everybody."
Oh. I assumed that's why he wasn't here in the crowd. We walked towards the black jet and I contemplated whether Axel will join us in the jet, as he did accompany me to the drive here.
Ash was playing with his toy in my large purse and I smiled at the sight. I loved this cat so much.
"You are not coming?" I asked Casey, when I didn't see her follow me to the jet.
"No,no." She waved her hand in dismay. "I actually work for Sedric Torrance," she said. "I'm an intern, you know and kinda run Ares's errands every now and then."
My mouth formed into an 'O.' I didn't know Ares was using his privileged life for unwanted benefits. I felt bad for Casey, it was still early in the morning and I bet, this was impromptu, even for her.
"Alright, bye." I waved her goodbye and smiled, walking into the jet.
The private jet was magnificent. If the exterior screamed expensive, the interior was just on another level. It was just wow.
I spotted Ares in his seat, sitting like a king, typing something on his MacBook Air.
"Took you long enough, Luna." He said, without taking his eyes off the screen. "Took a little detour the way here?"
I took the seat in front of him and he leaned back on his seat, taking in my appearance for the first time. "Nice." He eyed me up and down as I placed my purse in the seat beside me. "What's in the bag?"
Hey- wait. How did he know there's something in my bag. "How do- I just ent- but- eh, who told you?"
"Who told me what?" He sipped his drink.
"How do you know I have a cat in my purse?" Just as I said that, Ash decided to jump out of my purse.
"Cat's out of the bag, huh." His white tshirt, illuminating under the lights. "No one told me anything, you said it yourself." He watched as Ash rounded the mini table in between us. "Unique cat, what breed?"
"Sphynx." He picked Ash up and to my amazement, Ash did not stir in his hold. "That's new."
Ares caressed the top of Ash's head. "What's new?"
"Him actually not getting scared of strangers." Normally, he would act scared and not even stay in front of strangers. It actually took a lot of time for him to warm up to me.
"He's knows I'm harmless." I scoffed at his words. "What? You think I'm not?" Ares feigning hurt.
"I think you're harmless, just a little." But not to me. Ares was far from being harmless to me.
His bright amazon eyes stared directly into mine. "Believe me, I try not to be harmful when it comes to you." His voice soft like a cloud. "I really do."
And I really did not believed him.
***
We reached Cabo San Lucas by early afternoon. I slept through most of the flight, thanks to my late night conversation with my aunt and my mind, who kept me awake for most of the night. And Ares, I was up thinking about him.
To my surprise, Ash had made a friend out of Ares and they really got along well. As a result of it, Ash switched places and now was resting in Ares's arm. Traitor.
We arrived before anyone so it gave me time to click my pictures without feeling insecure or out of place.
"Ares," I called out. We were walking to a car waiting for us at the runaway. His head snapped towards mine. "Let's take a picture."
Ares made a weird face. "Really, you too?"
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Huh? What do you mean?"
"I didn't take you for the type to take a lot of pictures.," he said, shrugging off. "Guess, I was wrong."
I am not the type of girl who takes a picture of every second of my life, but this climate and atmosphere was spectacular. I couldn't resist. "Whatevs," I said, not wanting to explain myself to him.
"But one picture wouldn't hurt." Fishing his phone out of his pocket, he snapped a fair few pictures of us.
"You'll have to send me those." The pictures were cute, I liked them. "But you don't have my number."
"I don't." He didn't meet my eyes when he said that. "Here's mine." We exchanged our numbers and walked over to the car.
Hot breeze blew right at us and for a moment, we just stared at each. Ares's large hand stroked my neck lightly, sending weird sensation to my stomach. He swiftly moved his hand to my face, and I leaned into his touch.
'I can't lie to your eyes." He leaned in, not taking his gaze from my eyes. "They're crazy blue, but they also makes me want to unleash my inner demon." He brushed his lips on my forehead. "You have got yourself into trouble."
"How?" I was in my heels, yet he still towered over me.
"Because you attract the trouble."
He tucked away the loose knot of my hair behind my ear. "I don't mind unless you are the trouble." He smiled. That damn smile. It was so gorgeous, my insides ached to preserve it.
I leaned in, unsure whether I should kiss him or not. "Don't wish for trouble unless you can deal with it," he said, our lips brushing together.
"Oops....too late." I gave him a chaste kiss, but he pulled me in for more. Ugh... so much for staying away from him.
